As others have said, this was the first Killing Voice and as such is an honor to the group, but an unfortunate effect is that their appearance is only fifteen minutes, while most recent groups get thirty or more.
❤to be specific, their Killing Voice started the trend of inviting popular artists to the program, when the previous/original voice videos primarily featured k-rnb artists. The original Killing Voice videos prior to Mamamoo can be viewed in the Killing Verse playlist.
Dingga came out during the pandemic. If you listen to lyrics they mentions things such as not getting enough vitamin d as we were all stuck inside. They wanted to be able to go out with friends and drink but couldn't, people got mad sometimes. We were stuck home being lonely and our friend was the fruit fly as we couldn't have people over.
I hope soon Mamamoo regroups even for a mini album. Solar mentioned it is more difficult now as Wheein and Hwasa are no longer with the company, they moved to other companies for their solo career. Oh FYI Wheein and Hwasa have been friends since middle school. I'm happy I will see Wheein in concert this May here in concert. Love Mamamoo!!!

That Whitney Houston comment was spot on, guys. Solar, the leader with a long hair covered "I will always love you" many times, she auditioned with that too as a trainee. You can find videos about that too. Their "Immortal Song 2" performances (there are 14+1 from Solar) are insanely good. Just like the medley version.
They have covers of: Christina Aguilera's "Save from myself", Stoshee's "Love me"... deserve a reaction.
10:31 these hands’ gestures are lyrics of the song for people who are deaf, lyrics are shown with Korean gesture language, MAMAMOO have a lot of fans and deaf people love MAMAMOO too, so girls decided to use these moves in their dance.
Also: WheeIn, the girl in blazer, know gesture language and can talk with deaf fans on their meetings, she learned it to be near to moomoos
We could say that thanks to Mamamoo this segment began, since before they only invited pure rappers, Solar in here solo promotions wanted to be in the segment of rappers but as she is more of a vocalist they did not accept him in the segment and after her proposal the directors of the channel opened the segment of the killing voice where they invited groups and soloists. Mamamoo was his first guest group. And their voices are so diverse that they have covers of Ariana Grande, Rihanna, Beyoncé and Whitney Houston and they are so diverse that there is a video where they cover each other where we can see the rapper singing and the singer rapping

My apologies for the repetition but the original Killing Voice videos before Mamamoo can still be viewed in the Killing Verse channel! They originally featured k-rnb artists for the Voice videos, but from Mamamoo onwards, the trend was to invite more pop artists.
It's natural to believe Mamamoo started the program though since their video is the first in that playlist.
Dingga means fool around and have fun. The subtitles were only loosely accurate. Dingga was MMM's way of trying to cheer us up when we were socially distant during the pandemic. It was a pre-release single from the Travel album in 2020. In the song & MV they fantasize about various ways they'd like to "Dingga" with friends of all ages - drink like a fish, go out for ice cream, etc.
Dingo is a music channel as you surmised. They also run a series called Killing Verse for rappers which has been around longer. Mamamoo initiated the Killing Voice series. The story goes that Solar was bugging Dingo to let her do a Killing Verse session and they said No, you're not a rapper ... but how about we start a new series called Killing Voice with Mamamoo?
This medley includes a few but not nearly all of their hits along with a couple of b-sides.
Mamamoo is best when they're live so try to catch more of their live performances. They're even better when they've got a live band and an audience full of moomoos to play with. Some vids to look for include any award show performance, the Immortal Songs Medley (pro filmed at a 2017 MMM concert), any or all of their 14 appearances on the Immortal Songs 2 singing competition tv show, and if you've got the time I highly recommend the 4+ hour long vid of one of their spectacular 2019 concerts called 4 Seasons F/W. Fyi Wheein is coming to the US on a solo world tour in May and June (I'll see her in Brooklyn). Moonbyul has also started a solo world tour but US dates haven't been announced yet. MMM has only toured the US once and the members have never been here as soloists so this is a rare opportunity to see them live.

@@KPopOnLock YW! MMM is synonymous with having a good time. As I like to say, they're serious artists who don't take themselves seriously. They're known as beagle-dols for good reason, as you'll see when you get around to some of their crack songs and MVs. Um Oh Ah Yeah is a good example (gender & sexuality turned upside down) along with 1 CM/Taller Than You, in which they diss each other about their height over a Dr Dre groove (they're all munchkins). I just needed to add a note: the original Killing Voice existed prior to Mamamoo appearance on the program. Back then, Killing Voice primarily featured k-rnb artists, just like how Killing Verse featured k-hiphop rappers. Those videos can now be viewed in the same channel as Killing Verse!
They didn't create the program, but they certainly started the trend of inviting popular artists on to sing for Killing Voice!
I was also told that dingga dingga was onomatopoeia for guitar strings being plucked. Did I spell that right 😂?
@@greenwickr Thanks for the clarification. Moomoos have been passing on that story for a while but now that you mention it I remember thinking it sounded fishy the first time I heard it. As I jog my bad memory I seem to recall that MMM was simply the first group to be invited and previously Killing Voice had just been for solo artists. The part about Solar triggering it is correct, tho - she said so herself.
Dingga means both apparently - the sound of a guitar being strummed and slang for fool around and have fun. Pretty sure you spelled it correctly. 😂

dinga is just a expression of playing around. It has nuance of playing with music(particularly with guitar - where the sound "dinga-dinga-ding comes from). Dingo Music is the channel that hosts these Killing Voice/Verse. I think "Dingo" is also derivative of the "dinga" that I mentioned.
This is one of the best video to intro mamamoo and the immortal songs is also a good one, showcasing their extreme vocal talent. Each song has an MV except I Miss U, however the live versions, especially Queendom are excellent, and the other songs from Queendom are great also. Mamamoo actually releases about 25 songs every year, they do albums or singles, OSTs, collabs, covers, OSTs as the group or duets or solo. Last year was their world tour, which I saw them live in Los Angeles and they really can sing like that, live. Few can. This year seems to be more on Solo albums and Wheein and Moonbyul are doing separate solo world tours. They typically follow each other so likely we will see Solar and Hwasa albums, maybe world tours. Mamamoo+ is likely as well. 3 of the 4 are youtubers(hwasa has a channel but doesnt really do content like the other 3) Solar's is the oldest channel and the most active. You will find a whole lot of content there, especially the covers. She has a video of her doing one of her songs from when she was the lead actress in mata hari with one of the best frankie vallie covers, michael jackson man in the mirror, which she originally do for charity with MJs original band and backup singers, she is starring in the musical Notre Dame de Paris(hunchback of notre dame) so she may not do an album this year. They have over 400 videos to react too.

I think of the song as a reminder that oftentimes people are attracted to what's harmful to them, here represented by the "bad boy", but in reality applicable to anything that could possibly hurt you. The sweet sound seems to showcase the naivety in the infatuation.
I personally relate the "bad boy" to bad habits like love for junk food 😂 although there are much more intense options.

Its best documentary made about everything to do with mamamoo by a fan. The video is professional quality made and talks about mamamoo struggles, contributions to korea society, members, group discography..its so amazing. I know u guys enjoy this group.. please react to it, maybe do two parts as its 25min long. But worth every moment. So interesting and u will know mamamoo so well after that video. Ku is in charge of the playlist, but I’ll make a passionate plea for your case. The main concern is that we don’t want to get overextended by covering too many bands before we get to know current bands we’re covering, but we definitely plan on reacting to a lot more down the line. Might be we cover a single MV of theirs first. We are big fans of the Killing Voice format, though, so maybe we’ll hit that right off the bat!
