Today's video we will be talking about observation turning and the mistakes people generally make in their driving test. When it comes to observation turning right in your driving test, there is a lot of confusion around this topic. Countless amounts of driving test applicants in Ireland and the UK pick up grade 2 marks in their driving test for observation turning right. Moreover, many fail actually fail their driving test everyday for observation turning right. In Ireland, this would be a grade 3 fault in your driving test and the driving test applicant would fail their driving test. This would be considered doing something dangerous in your driving test.

The main mistake I see people make in their driving test for observation turning right would be simply not looking in the direction they're driving. As I say in all my TH-cam videos when I record driving test routes all around Dublin, "look where you're going"

Another mistake I generally see people make in their driving test would be not stopping in line with the centre line on the road we want to drive down. When it comes to observation turning right in your driving lessons in Dublin, we need to turn our head and look to the right to see the centre line. If you fail to turn your head and look to the right, it is really difficult to see the centre line and stop in the correct place.

During your driving test in Dublin, you will complete many different right turns. The driving tester will be watching you closely to make sure you do correct observation to the right and also you are reacting accordingly to hazards on the new road we want to drive down.

Hello.Your videos are awesome.Can you also put a video on when and at what times blindspot should be checked ? Only for blindspot. By seeing your observations during turning, you are not checking the blindspot. What is the correct procedure. Kindly put one video for that. IT WOULD BE REALLY HELPFUL FOR YOUR FOLLOWERS. Hi Anthony, at 4:16 when the oncoming car flashed his headlights to let you go, are you actually allowed to proceed in test conditions? My instructor said not to follow beckoning from other road users since this doesn't give you absolute right of way, would you be marked for it if you proceeded or marked on progression if you didn't go?
