Can I ask please. I have gear 6 and come back gear 4 , or from gear 4 I want come back year 2 when I see the hump, is it wrong or right when I am driving test? Thank you vey much.

I agree with ADM over popping it into neutral to stop. Richard's method is ok for an experienced driver over a beginner to test driver. Certainly wouldn't have attempted that during my lessons and I doubt any examiner would approve of that method.

When checking your blind spot are you looking out your back window or out the drivers side window. Previous instructor drilled me for not looking out my back window instead of the drivers window.

Just watched your video it’s great but I have one question on it when you approach roundabout with two exits one straight and one to the right (the last roundabout example in your video) but you are going straight not right do you need to signal?

Here in cavan, my instructor taught me to do the turnabout in 5 turns, and on the last (5th) turn, I've to also signal right, and to dry steer for the 5th turn, does that sound correct?

So I've had an American driving license for 13 years now. I've driven in close to a dozen countries, never had any accidents. I moved to Ireland this year and am in the process of getting an Irish license since they won't convert mine directly. I took the test in Finglas and failed. I can't believe how much more difficult the standard for testing is here! I find it interesting because it doesn't seem the harder barrier of entry is leading to better drivers on the road... I'm looking into booking a retest in Mulhuddart or Maple House now, fingers crossed second time's the charm!

Your videos are brilliant, both my sons are learning to drive at the moment and we've nearly come to blows at this stage. 😵 Can I ask, if there are no speed signs when entering a road in a built up area and you stick to 30km but it's actually 50km, could they grade you for lack of progress?
