I'm starting to build my studio, your bare minimalist approach to a recording environment helped a bunch as far as what gear to purchase and how to set it up. Thank you!
I like how you start describing the power surge protector... I have seen many videos and none had this item.. Because is overlooked, many people have problems with static sounds and RFI/EMI interference.. They purchase expensive equipment to later find out is not working well simply because the socket inside the wall is not grounded.. Thanks for that!
Zisch2 budget doesn't matter if youre serious about music. I worked a month at Ihop just to buy my mic and interface. Went broke after but you get the point
Greetings! I am one of those guys who grew up under the "old guard" on recording music - analog and some pro-tools stuff; nonetheless, I thoroughly appreciated your professionalism and enthusiasm. I am in the process of putting together a home studio, too. This change is a long overdue.
Long time musician, but relatively new to professional recording. I found this video extremely educational and concise!! Thanks greatly for sharing your knowledge!!
Great video indeed but what advise can you give the world at large regarding a bedroom studio whereby you find yourself in a room which is quiet big and echo/reverb is somehow accumulated by the space? Thank you!
Telly B Acoustic panels my friend, they can get expensive though, so if money is a concern, and you're only recording vocals, take a look at the SE Electronics "Space" reflection filter
I really like your approach to building a home studio on a budget. I'm getting ready to build my home studio / radio station so I found a lot of your info helpful. I had just watched your other video of your old studio setup before stumbling across this video. I noticed that your new studio is more stripped down. I will check out the "yamaha HS - 7" reference monitors. I also noticed that you're not running with the two set's of monitors like before, why is that? Thanks for doing these video's and I will continue to check 'em out and ask questions. All the best, Dennel
Your setup is awesome! Could you show or explain how your set up your lights behind your panles and where you got them? I've been having a hard time trying to do the same. Thanks!
Hey man thanks for dropping a new video updating your current set up. I commented on your other video a little while back. I've got the Hs7's and they are beasts. I'd like to hear how your mixes sound with that current set up.
Excellent video, been producing for a few years and I'm giving my studio a makeover this is great insperation for ideas. Also some more good studio monitor ideas for affordable, flat and translatable studio monitors is JBL 306p mkii, Fluid Audio F5, Kali Audio LP6, Presonus Eris E5.
Good video man, I love the fact at 0:13 you say "2017" in rhythm to your back track and at 0:16 your voice is pitched to your back track haha. All joking aside keep up the good work man 👌🏾
@Tech Kitchen Great video, wish you couldve talked about the desks. Im currently thinking about upgrading some of my hard wares and I dont know if I should get a new desk too.
Man you got some really nice Instrumental Beats at the beginning and at the end of your Video. Where can I get some of those Beats ? Nice Video too. Well done.
@@FTHonestReviews I will check. Here in Brazil I work with publicity announcer and I am very interested in recording studios. I'm already subscribed to your channel. Congratulations, your videos are awesome
Great video! If you would be so kind, where did you got the two white shelving/bookcase units with the built in lights that are on either side of your desk?
very informative excellent and articulate presentaion.. thank you this is a great video. i'm a musician/vocalist i want to ask you how does the tascam compare to the avalon vp 737 preamp. I know its a big price difference. but sometimes you can't tell the difference what was used when listening to final product..thank you very much
I think the Avalon is solid but very expensive, if you want that hi fi clean sound for less than half the price, look into the Blue Robbie found here amzn.to/2QR3BzY, that said, interfaces are getting better and better every year, I'd personally invest in a pre with color like the Great River ME1NV or this great budget option amzn.to/2xK41Q6
Hello Jake, thank you for such a amazing information about how to build a home studio. This information was great. I always watching your video. This is what I was looking for bro......... Thanks!
Thanks this helped alot! I'm new to this stuff so this was great. Right now i'm rocking with a blue yeti usb mic and audacity as my daw. I've learned alot about tools such as compressor and eq ect. so i'm happy to be learning! In the future i plan on upping my game but everyone has humble beginnings. I subscribed.
Good Job man... NO doubt... People don't understand what it takes to go into a video creation and also content that will fill the space so, I think it was a good video overall. I'm also like you and in this area and more advanced than the novice but of course their is always someone who uses their studio or technology in a different way... Keep working... I'm going to come back and drop you my channel link too... KEEP IT UP!!! P.S. I subscribed and don't worry about what people think about you... Do you. You are knowledgeable... I am a composer/producer too. UPs!!!
Interfaces are going to have either XLR or TRS outputs, which are going to be standard on studio monitors. If you want an affordable but great quality pair check these out amzn.to/2yY0IZJ
Very informational and high quality video bro! But give your monitors some space from the wall! you never want them close to the wall at least a few feet from the wall
the UH 7000 was something i lusted after for a long time but the driver mess was what turned me away. I got the SPL Crimson instead. But the UH 7000 sound was really wow. Am thinking of getting it and using it to clock the crimson. But i do everything ITB and am not sure if clocking my interface is not waste?
I'm starting to build my studio, your bare minimalist approach to a recording environment helped a bunch as far as what gear to purchase and how to set it up. Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
@@FTHonestReviews Can you help me man ADAM T5V ,JBL 305P MKII OR EVE SC AUDIO 205? Which one is the best bang for the buck? Thanks

I use a furman M - 8x 2 at the top of my rack, love their conditioners. Great info for beginners.
"How To Build A Studio Without Being A Drug Dealer"
I'm trying but it's a lot to learn at my age, I've just started building my little studio.
By the way great video 👍
Best wishes from the uk 🇬🇧
I would love a video called "How to built a studio with no budget". Great video though!
Zisch2 Wouldn't we all
Zisch2 budget doesn't matter if youre serious about music. I worked a month at Ihop just to buy my mic and interface. Went broke after but you get the point
No offense but YOU don't deserve to own a studio if you're not willing to #investinyourself
Well said my brother.
I think he means a video in which there is no limit to the money being put into the studio
Greetings! I am one of those guys who grew up under the "old guard" on recording music - analog and some pro-tools stuff; nonetheless, I thoroughly appreciated your professionalism and enthusiasm. I am in the process of putting together a home studio, too. This change is a long overdue.
your video are so healthy I'm trying to make my way into the music industry as a producer so I'm new to everything thanks for the videos
Long time musician, but relatively new to professional recording. I found this video extremely educational and concise!! Thanks greatly for sharing your knowledge!!

CWalka is the man!

Putting that on the list!

Nope but I'm planning on doing one, stay tuned!

Lucky Singh great ear
Nice one!
@Tech Kitchen Great video, wish you couldve talked about the desks. Im currently thinking about upgrading some of my hard wares and I dont know if I should get a new desk too.
Up to you my friend, while a desk won't improve your sound, it's always nice to have a space that's easy on the eyes
Thank you so much for creating this detailed video
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the good insight... Love the video... Please what's the model of the laptop?
this is goals
Man you got some really nice Instrumental Beats at the beginning and at the end of your Video. Where can I get some of those Beats ? Nice Video too. Well done.

Very informational and high quality video bro!
But give your monitors some space from the wall! you never want them close to the wall at least a few feet from the wall
Thank you very much.
This video was great!
Wealth of information! One question for you? How does the Tascam compare against focusrite? I'm on a budget.
I prefer the Tascam by far, better converters

Am thinking of getting it and using it to clock the crimson. But i do everything ITB and am not sure if clocking my interface is not waste?
audio interface or a USB mixer ?
Interface for me

What do you plug the monitors Into?
I’m really new at all of this. Would be cool if you had a video on how to hook everything up
I do! Check my play list
Thank you!

Did you make your intro? I'm looking for something super nice like that.
Partially, had a friend help.
will any kinda surge protector work? say like a power strip?
Edgar Price It will however depending on how much you're spending, getting a Furman is a great investment.
Where can i buy the acoustic foam panels that are hanging on the wall?
