Lovely romantic, yet rather melancholy song, that John wrote as his contribution towards the Queen soundtrack to the film Highlander. He decided to switch out the guitar parts and use the sax, so Brian isn't part of the song, and Roger only comes in with his tambourine! That's probably why they never performed it live. John was the one who liked romantic songs and ballads, which Freddie indulged him with despite Brian and Roger preferring rock...

For an outside Queen experience try Love Is the Hero by Billy Squier with Freddie. Make sure you do the Extended version as it contains an awesome Freddie intro not used on the album Version because the record company thought it might confuse listeners into thinking they got a Queen album instead. As Billy replied "We all should have such problems"

This song was on A Kind of Magic, the soundtrack album for the 1986 movie Highlander. They had several excellent songs on this album, including 'Hammer to Fall' and 'One Vision', which you have already reacted to. Other songs of the album that are worth a listen are 'A Kind of Magic', which was also the name of the concert at Wembley in 1986, 'Who Wants to Live Forever', also on that concert, and 'Princes of the Universe', which there is only the music video, but it has a cameo from Christopher Lambert, who is the star of the Highlander movies.

The saxophone is played by Steve Gregory, a session musician who had previously performed on Wham!’s 1984 hit, “Careless Whisper”. Brian did not perform at all during this recording. Brian stated, in 1986, "John wrote it, and that was written around a different romantic interest. It’s about the Highlander as he is in the 20th century when he’s just about to fall in love again, even though he said he wouldn’t - har har! That’s a romantic song too.”
The guy who played Sax on this was an Amateur and nailed it on Careless Whisper. The song Careless Whisper was recorded in the UK and was the second version. The original version was recorded in the USA with a Professional Producer and a Profession Sax Player. The Sax Player could not get the feel and the part right. It was pants. Hence the second recording.

Try a track from a fairly new group called "Greta Van Fleet", they are in the vain of 70s Rock and the singer has a fantastic voice, they are new to me as well.
