What did we think of the Triumph Tiger 900 GT Pro? Well we loved it, in my opinion best mid weight Adventure bike money can buy! Thanks for tuning in and just to let you know our MotoUK Store is now open link here: influencerstore.co.uk/motouk/ if your keen to get the T Shirt, Hoodie or a Mug for your coffee in a morning go check it out 🙏 cheers Nick.
Nick I eventually got on mine after back surgery, and I echo your thoughts, I love it! Very good upright riding position for folk like me with back issues. The engine is lovely and I really can’t think of anything I don’t like, I have clocked up 1600 miles around the Lakes and North York’s and it’s perfect for my visits to the chippies! Keep up the great work and maybe see you in the Lakes sometime. Cheers
I bought the Tiger 900 Rally two months ago and I love it I am 6ft 4inches and find it light and handles fantastic, I road a Harley road king for 11 years
Yep, agree with what you say - got a GT Pro and done 10k miles in a year …. I personally hated the OEM tyres and changed them after a couple of thousand miles for Pirelli Scorpion Trail 2 ‘s - so much better ! Also got a Scorpion exhaust that is much cheaper than an Arrow, and sounds better…..
I got the standard gt 2023 low ride height as I’m 5.6 and love it I’ve had supebikes all my life but this I just love handles great punchy engine super comfy I’ve a few bikes but this tiger gt is my go too all the time just enjoy riding so much more than I ever did the dash layout to me is fine got all I need easy to navigate great job triumph job well done
s a good bike for commuting honestly? daily use (comfortable) and weekend touring, of perhaps recreation purpose? this is better than ktm 890 for my purpose ? I only drive on public roads/highways... it is wise to jump from naked bike to this touring/Adventure for daily use. I have no experience with Adventure or touring bikes
Very useful, sensible and helpful review. is a good bike for commuting honestly? daily use (comfortable) and weekend touring, of perhaps recreation purpose? this is better than ktm 890 for my purpose ? I only drive on public roads/highways... it is wise to jump from naked bike to this touring/Adventure for daily use. Any way great video Be safe
I tried the Triumph OEM deflector which adds another 2 inches for taller riders. I use the digital rpms at the top all the time but yes that could be improved for sure. I ride mine all year in northwest part of U.S. because of the features make it possible. I've taken my wife with me on a 1800 mile ride and she loved the comfort on back and we still averaged 48.5 mpg (U.S.) which included the two aluminum panniers and top box. I've had mine just over a year and like it better now than I did when I bought it.
The only bike on the market that would drag me away from my V-Strom 650. Not a fan of the dash layout either but could live with it as I wouldn't need the tachometer with such a powerful and mellifluous machine. Stalk near the indicator switch is my only qualm. I'll take a white GT if buying new, or GT Pro if buying used as it has lots of non-essential extras.
@@MOTOUK1 I'm pretty rigid about having the "Goldilocks" 19" front rim as it provides the best compromise of sporty road feel and stability on degraded tar/gravel roads. Wouldn't consider a Tiger 660, Tracer9 GT or Versys 650 for their 17" fronts. Also a BIG fan of the offbeat triple in the 900. Tiger 900 is 1kg heavier (dry weight) to my Strom 650 but with vast amounts of power. Would prefer the 650's power with lighter weight but will enjoy the lower engine revs of the Tig9 on the highway. Ta!
liking the front of your house at the beginning of the videos !! yes, I share your enthusiasm of the bike it's a shame your lady doesn't, may be a diamond of some sort will help her change her view ! I see TMF is trying the same bike, I will just pop over and see his thoughts, but I don't think he has any more room in his garage.
Yes it’s a grand entrance 😂 if you like golf! ⛳️ a diamond 💎 OMG that’s bike money 💰 🤣 think TMF is testing the Suzuki VStrom not the tiger 🐅 👍 Sunday looks nice mild and sun ☀️
@@MOTOUK1 yes I was looking at the TMF on the 2020 model last year, but like you, he was loving it, mentioned that even with clutchless up and down gear change that you have to pull in the clutch in when coming to a stop, the only thing negative he had to say was the model he was given was in white.
I’m not into white bikes either, I see the Street Triple RR also has a white option. When I bought the SP, strangely my favourite colours are blue, black, silver and those were the colours it came in 😂
Yeah 20 litre tanks its one of my fav things re my current👍. Is it easy to see through the screen when wet. No motorbike mini wipers?😂. Not been out yet in weather like you did! Still ok down South😉
Honestly you could justify one of these as it's so different to the MT10 I want one the new aprilia tuareg 660 but I wouldn't get rid of the tuono tbh too much fun.
@@kf-dk5pb My Tiger 900 definitely pumps out heat on the knees during Summer. More on the left side than right. It's actually welcoming riding in the cooler months. But in the middle of the Summer, it's REALLY noticeable at slow speeds or in traffic
Mmm difficult to choose would you swap your MT10 SP for this one Nick ? and do I want to swap my aged XJR12 and my classic V65 magna 11 for this one bike it's gonna take some thinking about this one I also like the Speed twin and the Speed Master . Really I would like to just add another but like you my wife just doesn't understand . ; ) Cheers
No I wouldn’t swap my MT10SP for anything, when i bought that its a life bike, pass on to my kids! Show them what mental is, well thats if they sell petrol when they get old enough 😂 I would like one though really good bike but i think i want a classic in the stable T120 or Scrambler XE also
As I’m big but not huge per se, @ 6’2” 220 lbs am I physically to big for the 900 cc bike & better suited for the 1200? Or is the frame the same size on both bikes with 900
I am 6’ tall with a 32” inseam and the Tiger 900 GT Pro is a good fit for me. I have the seat at the upper setting and can almost flat foot the bike. I am going to add an offset riser for the handle bars in hopes that I can sit a bit a bit more vertically.
Yes absolutely, if you also had a top box on then the pillion has something to lean back on and makes for a more comfy ride. Ive found also it stops the pillion leaning on the rider which after some miles is a pain. Very roomy bike. Nice torque and would be a good two up touring bike. Also now they launched the 1200 range too, very nice did you see th-cam.com/video/isN9eciWg8s/w-d-xo.html
@@MOTOUK1 Thanks Nick ,I did have one ordered last year but had to cancel it due to circumstances beyond my control ,waiting for the 1200 to come out before I make a decision!
6:20 ... nah the Tracer 9 GT is best part of a grand cheaper than the Tiger 900 GT Pro ...... the Tracer GT is £12.3K and the Tiger GT Pro is £13.2K. To go cheaper than the Tracer you'd have to get the base Tiger GT (no Pro) which is £11.5K but doesn't have as many bells n whistles as the Pro version (no quickshifter / heated seat / spotlights / electronic shock / 5th riding mode / TPS etc etc) 😉
Having owned a tracer and rode the tiger, only my opinion the tiger is the better bike. Great points though you do get more for less on the Yamaha. If you want long distance comfort though the Tiger wins
@@MOTOUK1 The yamaha ticks more boxes with it's luggage included as standard and also the semi active front and rear suspension .. it's an attractive package at a very competitive price ... I just really don't like the styling and looks of them, plus the dash board looks like Groucho Marx staring back at ya 😂 I've not ridden either yet but already I'm drawn more to the Tiger .... gonna book a test ride or two in the new year ...
Yes best ride both, I know what you mean re the dash! 😂 thanks for tuning in and stay tuned as the tiger sport 660 and Tiger 1200’s will be coming to the channel in early 2022 👍 have a good new year 🥂🍾🎉
I like the GT without the Pro's frippery. None of the Pro's extras are needed if you're being honest with yourself. The GT is still VERY well specified.

Why is Lancashire so much grimmer than Yorkshire ?
Not sure I understand what your saying
Hi Nick, can I ask did you experience any engine heat on your legs.
No not that I remember
It does put out heat in summer. I put on some after-market heat shields behind the radiator fans, I will soon see if they work.

Yes, the 1200 looks superb, but is much more expensive..
If a litre weights 1kg then 20 litre is 20kg so 198kg bike and 20kg fuel = 218kg.... is the wet weight!
