bro, no way. I watched you when I got a brz over a decade ago when you had a brz. fast forward, im in the market for a supercar and I stumble upon this video and recognize you. lets go Matt !
Awesome review, Matt! The way the camera almost fell off on the first acceleration really showed us the amount of power this beast got 😂. Had a fun time watching this review.
Thanks for being a subscriber for almost 10 years! I really appreciate that! If this video does well I'll see if I can find more supercars to review haha.
Acceleration run so good even the camera mount took a bow! Also love a spider that has roll hoops that make an honest effort at being higher than your head. Great review!
Great color- and spiders are where it's at for these supercars. That top up and down looks faster than 11 seconds. I'm turning into a vert fan ever since we got the S5 cab.
Small correction at 14:01, the 570s has traditional suspension. Only the Super Series cars (12c, 650s, 720s, 750s, etc) have the trick hydraulic rollbars.
The car is something special for sure 😊 The plastic key is a big let down but then key covers exist so at least there’s a way to make it look less naff.
On paper perhaps, but the Artura is several hundred pounds lighter, has hydraulic steering with amazing road feel, carbon tub construction among other things. You need to move beyond a Z06 in the lineup to match its 10.2@140MPH 1/4 mile and subjectively it looks far better and more exotic than most C8’s
I wonder if it's the sound the car has to make when in electric mode to "let pedestrians know it's around" or something. Though I would have thought that's only when in Drive. Who knows
@@MattMaranMotoring*It's very noticeable, but I wouldn't call it annoying at all. I just got used to it after a few seconds and didn't notice it anymore since I was listening to what you were saying. So, all good.*
The 1983 Isuzu Impulse and 1991 Nissan 300ZX had controls at finger length from steering wheel, even climate controls, on "satellite pods". So these McLaren rocker switches are an old idea, new implementation. The gauge cluster moving with the steering wheel was also an old idea taken from the Infiniti G35.
A “super “ car this beautiful and expensive having a v6 is like meeting a gorgeous girl at a bar and realizing she has an Adam’s apple. You can have a good time but it’s going to dampen the experience
This car is too fragile for Canada. Having a gearbox hanging out like that would chew up this McLaren on a mountain pass with heavy trucks and pickups up here. The C8 Corvette is a stronger more reliable machine for up here ... at over half the price!
*Congrats on getting hooked up with McLaren! Absolutely awesome video and you deserved it. Well done Matt!* 🎉
Thanks!!
Taking me back to your first McLaren experience love the enthusiasm

7:08 is what we are waiting for.. haven’t seen Matt’s laughter for quite some time
Lol, no kidding. I still remember the Yenko Camaro 😂
And to think you were thinking of giving up the channel. Nice review Matt.
Thanks!

Love from Calgary Alberta Canada! 🇨🇦! More super car reviews please!!😅 I’ve been a sub since 2015

Haha thanks man!
Great review Matt. These are beautiful exotic cars. Love the blue color!
Thanks I'm glad you liked it!
I love seeing Matt in crazy cars. Twin turbo V6 sounds great! Must be almost as quick as my Duratec Mondeo.
Haha I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Fantastic review on a sweet car Matt! Im really glad you had this opportunity!
Love the review, love the enthusiasm, love the car!

Amazing car Matt! Glad you got a chance to review it. I love McLaren's!
Your sports car reviews are always the best. You can tell you really love them
Thanks, I'm glad you like them!
Great review Matt!
Thank you!
Great video Matt, excellent editing
You know where else they could put those rocker switches on the instrument binnacle? The steering wheel. That would have been brilliant.
Standard nose lift, thank you McLaren! Boggles my mind whenever I see a $500k Ferrari with no nose lift.

So cool, great review!
Great review and I can't wait to test drive this.
Honestly, just about every C8 model beside the base is a competitor to the Artura. Now that's wild!

Bought a lotto ticket and started my shopping list.
Was that the car humming in the background until you started it up?
I wonder if it's the sound the car has to make when in electric mode to "let pedestrians know it's around" or something. Though I would have thought that's only when in Drive. Who knows
Yeah sorry if it was annoying, it’s the little fan behind the dashboard that keeps the electronics cool when the car is turned off after driving it.

@@MattMaranMotoring Wasn't really annoying, I just noticed it. Great video as always.
Thanks!
I really like that blue

🔥🔥🔥
Ya a little annoying that it doesn't have android auto.
I hope you got to take your daughter for a ride, and of course your wife. (not at the same time).
Unfortunately not! This was on a drive event. It also would be impossible to properly install a child car seat in this (no top tether anchor).
NICEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Looks good on you or you in it.
3rd time's a charm?
That’s a lot of hp for a twin turbo v6
Why has no One Made a TRON Car yet , WHY !!
prefer hard tops...
