For over 100 years automobiles were purely analog and mechanical now 138 years later The question I have is do we actually need this; I think a pure analog driving experience would sell and probably at a more reasonable price point. Damn, I don't know if it's your recording equipment, but that's the chillest sounding sportcar and not in a good way. I'd probably just get one of the Corvette variations and be like "close enough."

This car traps 9 mph faster in the quarter than the Z06. Mclaren dealers are running $2000 a month, 36 month leases on arturas with $15k down and 5000 annual mileage limits. No one is spending sticker on these. Not a bad deal for a carbon tubbed hybrid supercar...
Please take the Corvette then. I can understand that. But this McLaren looks million times better. Also, flat plane V8 is overrated. Cross plane sounds much better.

Based on what I've heard from a few 650S owners I imagine the old ownership would've just pushed them out the door broken and told the buyers to call AAA.
I’ve owned 2 McLarens. A very disappointing experiencing. I also went to the factory to meet the team and see how the cars are designed and built. Their pitch, which is very strong, is that they are obsessive over every detail. The reality is far from it. The seat controls are ridiculous. The radio, navigation unit is embarrassing. The service experience would have been offensive for a 35k car. They didn’t care. I’m sticking with Porsche, Corvette and a Cadillac Blackwing.
just realized for 300k you can get a slightly used 720s, turbo s, used 812 super fast, or a huracan technica… these are gonna have crazy lease deals i already kno. that’s used aventador money even, nobody is gonna buy this
$300k can get you a very nicely optioned brand new Turbo S, low $200k could get you a decently optioned regular Turbo (nearly identical in performance to the Turbo S). The Porsche is no where near this price, and they had be had for MSRP now
Judging by the used prices of MC20 being about 50% of what they were selling for 2 years ago, I’d say everyone of those owners offloading their V6 supercars for pennies on the dollar ..
Individual nightmare cars notwithstanding, the reliability rate is no worse than Ferrari or the more exotic 911s. The reliability trope is just a stick to beat McLaren with now. They are still a very young automaker.
