bought a 80$ electric screwdriver when i started fpv and was such a good experience over manually turning all the screws. Sadly one day i forgot that the internal gearbox is not suited for heavy manual tightening and therefore broke it. By the feel of it it was a plastic gearbox.
The 555 and 666 both seem to have a metal gearbox which should allow much more manual torque.
Looking forward to your feedback in a few weeks, maybe this is gonna be my next screwdriver

I had an ES121 and as you pointed out, the battery is the limiting issue. When the battery will no longer charge, the unit is a glorified paper weight. *Some manufacturer needs to produce an electric screwdriver with a replaceable battery. Personally, I'm done with power tools with non-replaceable batteries.*

I love my old version which can be found very cheap on AliExpress from time to time.
I bought a cheap EDC pouch to carry all the bits and cables together because nobody was selling a kit like these at the time.
DeWalt now makes a motion sensor electric screw driver that's got much more torch for bigger projects.

    _Sold!_
I'm hoping those were commission links, if so, my Devil's screwdriver should help fund your next coffee or Exorcist screening.

Yo! An update from the future!
So I received my ES(Devil #) and have used it for a few projects around the house. While it won't twist your wrist into submission, it's plenty strong for working with plastic self-tappers in Tamiya kits, machine threaded screws of all types, and even pulling the dash of a BMW i3 apart with the included Torx bits. I've noticed no wear on the bits I've used, and the gyro works flawlessly (though I find myself just using the buttons more often).
Nice bit of kit! Thanks for the review (again!)

Thanks for the review, Lee! 😃
I'm definitely going to get one, but the fact that they aren't strong isn't a surprise. Their motor needs to be really small to fit in there!
Either way, I'd bet they aren't much stronger than the screwdriver I've made with a 9g metal servo in a Tic Tac's box. 😬
    But still useful!
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

Do either the 555 and 666 have any issues tightening and loosening 'manually'? After it can't drive them anymore and you do it by hand does it skip teeth with too much pressure or anything like that?

So far, so good. Using these for stuck fasteners isn't a great idea. The internal gears have fine teeth... Happy flying

Oh, these look slightly thin. I suspect, the old one is more gripy. While mine old one still holds the charge, I was going to replace the battery myself in the future, and was really glad to see, that it has some pretty much standard cell, don't remember which one, easily replaceable. But good to know, that new models have some advanced functionality.
My old one had a significant play on the bat mount. How is it going with the new models?
Regarding the worse grip, I just thought, we should expect a massive 3D modeling of TPU handles for these new models)

I wonder if there is an Easter egg on the 666 if it is in gyro mode and you turn it all the way around. 😄
