    Thank you for the update and for explaining why the M4 project has been delayed. This Rotorflight looks interesting, a nice little summer project perhaps. These NEXUS controllers aren't available for a while so I may well get myself a Betaflight controller and experiment and get familiar with RotorFlight beforehand. Thank you for making the video and looking forward to seeing future videos on this subject. 👍

    Great stuff would love one of your set up series for this! moving from multi rotor to heli so very interested. I’m flying a flywing w450l V3 atm but about to start a SAB RAW 420 build

    The development of RF is amazing and is most probably going to snowball a bit more now that such excellent hardware ia available making it more accessible to anyone interested. The documentation (website) is very good but the last piece of the puzzle is YT how-tos and setup tutorials.

      I did offer to work with the developers to create a series for the release of v2.0 of Rotorflight, but the team were sadly not interested in that... Happy flying

    I like FlyDragon F722 V.2 , because it has built in ELRS receiver.
    I hope Radiomaster makes a version that has built in ELRS receiver, too.
    Only option for Arducopter FC with built in ELRS would be Matek F405-WTE, and it works fine.

    I'm glad to see RadioMaster actually worked with the RF team on this. I had a Matek unit. Not only did they not work with the RF team, but the hardware failed after only a dozen flights. I don't recommend the Matek unit. I will be trying this one.

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not sure what's going on with Matek, the recent odd stuff with their ExpressLRS recievers is odd too. Why not work closer to the projects you're making the money off?

    Since you mentioned in another commend that the RF team was not interested in doing a how-to series, I would be glad to help. I have multiple helis setup, tuned and flying on RF. I've sent you an email, feel free to reply if this is relevant :)

    Helicopter pilots of old don't use flybarless controllers. We use flybars :) Except for my GMP Legend. It was flybarless and no controller. And my multi-blade rotor heads are flybarless, but also, no controller. Sorry. Had to poke at you a little :) Nice job as usual. I've learned much from your videos thru the years.

    Interesting, I have 2 old helis laying about that I havent flown for along time. Every time I think about it I remember that I no longer have my JR radio and the though or trying to program a heli into Open Tx makes my me want to cry. If this device is like a quad copter FC where you don't need to do any mixing in the radio then I might take a look.

    • @davidjacobs8558
      @davidjacobs8558 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      RF prefer you do all the setting in FC, rather than TX.
      TX should be set to default with no exp, no curves, no trims etc.
      if you nee to flip the servo direction, that should be done with FC too.

    • @zmanphx
      @zmanphx 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      OpenTX/EdgeTx is easy to program for helicopters as long as they are flybarless. FC does all the mixing, not the radio. It has been supported for at least 5 years now.

    Oooo, shiny,... wonder if it's capable of the servo layout on my dust covered Thunder Tiger Innovator. Be nice to fly it from a TX16S.

    • @davidjacobs8558
      @davidjacobs8558 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      rotorflight can handle most all servo layouts.
      it can handle flybar and flybarless.
      but I would think converting to flybarless rotor head would be simpler to setup.

    • @PiDsPagePrototypes
      @PiDsPagePrototypes 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@davidjacobs8558 That's not the hard part with the Innovator - It has a pretty unique set of levers and servo placement for the swash plated compared to every other Heli I've seen.
