  • In this video I go over how and where to mount a fire extinguisher in your rig. Don't let your Jeep burn because you were not prepared and never leave home without a fire extinguisher

To keep one (fire extinguisher) near the driver, you could mount one below your legs in front of the seat. Brackets fabled up could make it slide with the seat so it doesn’t get in the way.

Dude so funny story, About two weeks ago my sis and her man was working at the shop when the fire stove got out of hand and caught something on fire I think it was a can of oil or something! But just the day before it happened I was joking with them about catching the shop on fire and I said just in case y’all ever needed a fire extinguisher I had one in my jeep haha and boom, it saved the shop and them!!! Jeeps fire extinguisher for the win!!!! 😂

You better know where the air bags are because if you drill a whole and there is an air bag there, it will ruin your day and you will go to the hospital.

I dont know how true it is but ive heard before some local fire departments can maintain and fill fire extinguishers, if you have a decent quality one. So sometimes spending extra $$ up front can save on refills later if you have to use the thing. Or if you're that guy on the trail that saves someone else's bacon.

I wouldn't want to mount it in the front. In case of a violent car collision, i dont want that thing explodes in my face. I'd just mount in the back of the SUV or in the sedan trunk.

Hi, nice video, and I like the location you chose. I plan to do the same. Question: did you catch metal when you drilled and bolted that bracket, or is it only fastened to the plastic trim? Did you use self-tapping screws? Thx!

There is metal behind there and I just used self tapping screws. There shouldn’t be any electrical running behind there in the center either.

Have you ever had a rig catch fire on the trail?

No but I had a car catch fire in my driveway once. Turned out to be a leaking fuel rail.
