Despite the other comment, used motor oil is CHEAP and uses a resource that otherwise is going to be burned or thrown away....done it for years and does NOT bother any rubber components. Cheers from Canada North
Fluid film. Do not use motor oil or bar oil. It will destroy your rubber boots. Also painting bed liner over rust will hold the moisture in and cause it to rust faster under the bed liner.
