It's not like that if you are from niftem and you will be getting good placements, placement situation in NIFTEM is not up to mark. In my batch 60percent of my batchmates was unplaced.
I understand but still it's not zero. There are many food technology colleges where there's no placement and proper lab facilities. Even if there are limited campus placements in the college, the students still have an opportunity to apply and they'll always carry a tag of the college, and that would enable them to get a job sooner or later.
@@foodtechsimplified you can say that overall scenario of the food technology background is not good at present time, because the companies don't need any specific food technologist for their production, quality they hire bsc chemistry, biotech guys instead of them. @@Suravi307 congrats u should definitely choose.Degree from BHU always matter

@@Suravi307 I would say if u r getting BSC ag in BHU, chhose that above it. Because its first Batch of B.tech So some problems may arise which usually do anywhere. But u can trust BHU being among best of india. Technical knowlege is need of today generation. B.tech will give you that, You can apply for different jobs other than Food technology which require just a B.tech degree irrespective of branch. B.tech from BHU will always be valuable

So if someone who want his bright carrier in very short span of time should opt for it, cs.
@@deepakbhushan9442 Agreed with you.
Hi
I would say its not like in present times but on and off the situation keeps on changing. I completed my B.E. in food tech in 2010 and didnt get any placement..though I chose DCET(now UICET), Panjab University where the year I took admission there used to be 100 percent placements..but when I graduated we could get just one company for campus recruitments and only one student got placed(me being in waiting list)...it has been very hard building up career in food tech since then...but I didnt want to switch as my interest lies here..though I did try quite a few times out of frustration..still it is struggle if I compare to those placed through campus..so I would suggest that follow your interest and make a wise decision in chosing the college..but don't depend on that too..as situations can change..
