If you can access Courtlets house in Manchester there was an ancient sort of cage lift ( I know nothing about lifts) in there about 15 years ago, I reckon it’s still there, would be super interesting to see if you fancied another look around Manchester, Also there’s a very interesting modern tiny lift in Lloyds house in Manchester near the town hall, can fit about two people comfortably…
The lift at 4:20, the Gen2 that safety breaks itself? There's one in Grand Central that does *exactly* the same thing. The first time it happened I thought you might have been on top buggering about :D
not been to the Arndale for many many years, my mate and i used to mess about in the lifts and escalators there. We were chased out quite a few times by security , this was 40+ years ago. I remember it being built, those were the good days 😂😂😂
Probably the emergency stop on Gen2 is harsh because the belts provide a lot of friction when compared to steel cables. I don't know how harsh emergency stops are on 3300/5500s though
00:02:28 Yeah some kone lifts activate the alarm when the lift experiences a fault. I was once repeatedly safety breaking an ecodisc and then the emergency phone activated.
What’s that “Interactive zone” in the museum? As manchester is the city of the Ocean software I would expect there to be old computer games. Those yellow spades in the floor of the gated lift look like some kind of safety device, perhaps to prevent trolleys or freight pellets from hitting the doors.
The interactive zone is an area with buttons to press for children. They can be fun but take up a lot of space. It is disappointing that the display of mechanical calculators in the basement was so small and compact with them all in sliding draws.
the reason why the lift in the Trafford centre doesn't go to the third floor is because on the third floor it's a cinema and they only want you to go through one entrance to get to the cinema
Go to the hospitals in Manchester *MRI before they get replaced by them Orona lifts there are a few old ones left and you can Also go on the bus way then get the bus all the way there
I imagine that I will probably make the papers again in some of the small northern cities and the newspapers there have little news to report and are over obsessive.
pre-2008: Make sure it is on inspection and safety is connected. Disconnect safety, wait a few seconds, switch to normal, wait a few seconds, connect safety. 2008 onwards: Make sure it is on car top normal, switch to cabinet inspection, switch to cabinet normal. Safety may or may not be connected when doing this. So you can do it with the doors open then jump on top and you get a full speed surf. This is the only way to get a full speed surf if the odd even protection setting is enabled, as it goes out of service when you open the door to get on top.
plus the reason that lift in the Trafford doesn't go up to the 2nd floor is because it's a cinema and there is one entrance so people don't get in for free as if it did go up to there you would be able to go straight into one of the screens for free
Vandal resistant R-series, so rare to see these days!
16:02 Trafford Centre’s John Lewis (Mitsubishi Elenessa RARE Voice)
16:10 The Voice in that Mitsubishi sounds like the Modern Stannah Voice!

7:25😂😂welcome to Manchester
2:22 when the lift says "2nd floor" it sounds like the ALS voice in a slightly higher pitch voice, Anyone agree?
I do
Yeah
I agree

Grand Central I'm guessing stockport? where abouts?
@@tbbelevators3181 a shit ton of gen 2s do it, they are quite badly designed and most are being replaced quicker than otis want them to be replaced
@@tbbelevators3181grand central is at Birmingham city centre
The Mitsubishis at 16:10 are my favourites as well as the glass lifts in the Arndale
There is an old Evans lift in a shop in Bolton but it has recently been concealed by shelves.
0:04 dude ur risking ur life
22:33 Then you haven't seen Turkish generics yet.
Was the last bit in Sainsbury's Huddersfield
Oooh in my turf.. ❤️
Jordan:“Hello people out side”
Staff:Wtf is that lift on
Crack

Where's that glass Ecodisc at 24:32?
"Stand clear of the Doors please."

20:20 I almost got stuck in it. It went down, stopped then it made a bang 6 seconds later and lost position
You can get to level three take the right Odeon lift

YAY! MANCHESTER.
I’m glad Beno went to the Trafford Centre!
00:02:28 Yeah some kone lifts activate the alarm when the lift experiences a fault. I was once repeatedly safety breaking an ecodisc and then the emergency phone activated.
The 5500 still shows the exact floor number (but only inside the lift, outside lift indicators show accelerated)
Love the Trafford Centre x

RIP shoes in the thumbnail
It featured the lifts from your video 5 years ago and the message:
"Stand Clear of the doors please, you twat!"

dieselducy mentioned you in his recent live stream. nice seeing a modern gated lift.
I love your vids. Can you do a lift your at the metrocentre !!!
*_stand clear of the doors, please._*
I love the door thing
the commentary is splendid XD
7:25 how you managed to open inner doors??
Otis 2000s and gen2s before around 2010 don't lock the inner doors
Wait, some lifts don't lock the inner doors? How do I know which lifts to safety brake without getting stuck? This is interesting!
why am i watching this when i should be doing my laboratory excercises?
Where abouts in the Trafford Centre is the Mitsubishi?
John Lewis, mate.
what shopping centre was the Mitsubishi in I have never rode one
blah blah John Lewis at the Trafford Centre near Manchester

Ya boi Taku What?, in China
Its too dangerous and hell easily get caught.
The lift is on a mountain
Tolimpia Correction: it’s in Shanghai Tower.
The famous announcements have now came to an end, they have been refurbished
Beno and Lift Surfers Are Funny XD
Aren't KONE lifts quite hard to suft?
They are easy
BTW there are some funicular at Quebec City. QC. Canada
Will you ever visit Canada?
Yeah
Sadly the lifts in selfridges have been modernised
Bit stupid how they used a standard universal Dewhurst key for card reader override
6:35 why are you running away
I think security knew they were lift surfers and they were dancing with the key and security was like STOP THEM BEFORE THEY SURF A LIFT!!
It's not that, if you heard properly, they are taking pictures of them.
Some guy in the Carphone Warehouse advert is trying to copy your voice !
Beno are nuts 🥜 sitting on a roof
And dangerous climbing cranes 🏗
Get some grammar
They aren’t fake lifts they’re real
8:50 EPIC MOTOR!
your making me dizzy
Only reason reversal trick works is because it’s ANSA logic
ANSA do not manufacture lift logics, or any other part of the lift.
@@benolifts ahh yes because ansa are so crap they dont even make their own crap, they use someone elses!

Go to Manchester Airport
Good idea
18:00 I been there!
Are you surfing the lift with a boy
remember that time you were on the local newspaper?
I imagine that I will probably make the papers again in some of the small northern cities and the newspapers there have little news to report and are over obsessive.
@@benolifts yep, and those unnecessary editing on some news reports as well, they cut off the most important bits, just for ratings wise.
yay ur back at manchester
I'm jealous
0:48-2:31 You forgot to mention the lifts used to say 'YOU TWAT'. like you mentioned in your Random lift tour!
He said that as a joke
They never actually said that; the voice clip was edited in
13:06 how do you reset it

Nope, its Ironing-dale

TKmaxx always have the same lifts in every store
you should have tried the cis tower lifts they might be old ones because the building is 60 years old
Not completely boring. At least they're better than generic lifts.
Lol
You need to do more talking lifts
Both of you are gotta big trouble without permission access places of elevator adventure... What hell are you doing, mate?! 😦
"big trouble" in what way
Fuck you
what the fuck 7:43
Talking lift doors! Jordan's favorite!
FOR ONE MILLION POUNDS....

It is shocking how people now days can't detect irony. We are living in the age of the dumbing down of society
