Christian Eko Simarmata I have the GTX, great board but the 97mm wheels chip on the edges. Abec11 wheels will be great but there isn’t a 107mm option in the controller so the calibration will be out.
I am buying my first electric skateboard and I don't want to waste my time and money going with something cheap. I'm looking to get the best board I can so I don't have to upgrade while advancing in riding skill. I am going to order the Hadean Carbon Street. My question is if I order the 107mm Evolve Black wheels, do I need to use a conversion kit to swap the wheels for a 80mm or 97mm if I want to get smaller wheels eventually? Or can I just swap the wheels out simply and not need a conversion kit to go from 107mm to 96mm or 80mm etc? Maybe a dumb question, but I am brand new to eskate, but I grew up skateboarding on popsicle decks. So I am literally just learning everything and it's alot of information to absorb.
I bought a carbon GT last friday with AT wheels. I tried out another set of wheels set up on the same type board. But I thought the wheels were wider than those shown in the video. Am I wrong about that? I think I would like to get the street wheel conversion and put the very wide wheels on. Want to make sure I get the wheels I saw and test rode. John B
The episode 41 for me is the favorite because I understand the differences in the use of street wheels compared to those for all terrains; I was interested in understanding what was the best solution in my case, using it mainly to move from one garden to another to follow my crops and also to carry out door-to-door deliveries. I think the wheels for all terrains are the best performing solution in my case. I hope one day to be able to have one of your boards, to move in a green, fun way, and to pass this on to my children, in addition to agricultural work! Bye!
wonder if there is a range difference (less friction?) with the 107mm abec11's, also wondering why they are not listed at evolve germany..? I could use a smoother ride, a little more speed, and potentially more range, I mostly cruise on less than optimal surfaces, and smaller wheels probably cause more friction when having to go over grainy tarmac.. sooo, I should get more range (less friction) with bigger wheels, right?
Love my Bamboo GTX with 97mm wheels and Board Bumpers 29t wheel pulley I've reached 29mph and my torque is still pretty insane in Fast and GT Mode but I'm only 63kg so my range is between 20-27miles which is plenty of ride time so with all things considered I'm getting really decent mileage with my style of riding which is cruising with a few hills and top speed runs along the way!
Hi Daniel, it depends on which remote and what update it has as to whether it'll have to 107's on there. You can fit the 107's to a 32 or 38 tooth gear, just keep in mind you will lose torque on a 32 tooth with the larger wheels.
Thank you for your comments on what your favourites 107 and 38t gear perfect combination 😂, I found recently with the deeper down hill I am having problem with breaking to a slower speed for me to jump off the board when I have the 32t and 107 on the gtx. 😀
In real world conditions...do the abec 107s really have a big range gap when compared to the all terrain? I'm still in the air over whether to swap my all terrains for 107
@@evolveSkateboards hmmm I'll prob take a test ride at skaterhq in moorepark before I order it. 330 for the conversion kit! Have to but a new R2 remote too. Lol
But if you live in a city that has many slopes, I also advise you to take the 38 tooth gear. More torque for a top speed of 39km/h with 107mm!! In which city of Switzerland are you? I live in Lausanne!
Hey Sascha, the fastest setup is any of the GT street boards using the 107mm with the standard 32T gear that comes with the street boards, it will go around 47km/hr on flat smooth surfaces.
oh my god does anybody push anymore at all? I havent bought wheels in a few years, I'm looking for a review of these wheels for my loaded board, and every review and article is about electric skateboards now. did you guys even skate before these? half the fun is actually getting exercise pushing around with your friends...
I have rough roads that has a lot of bumps like can you contact me on Facebook cause I need help on some wheels to find better wheels cause the 60mm wheels are bad for the road I still feel the bumps can someone help me
Congrats to the **WINNER** of the ABEC11 + Evolve 107s - LACHLAN CALLINAN!
Congrats to the winner! Can't wait to try a set of 11x107s but I'm still hooked on AT lol
Hey congrats Lachlan Callinan! Cheers, John ;)
Grats dude!
I absolutly love this Evolve Weekly episode because it gives a great overview about the wheels that are currently available.
My 107's just arrived at my door while watching this video. Can't wait to get them on the board!
Just tried the 107 yesterday night 🤘🏼 definitely my favorite , I will try to make some good footage this weekend . 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
fmadrid91 for the street wheels I definitely prefer the gtx super carving deck 😜🎃
Ordered a Carbon GT with abec11 wheels yesterday😍 Im excited for the ride!
I am totally saving to buy the GTX Bamboo and the ABEC11, can't wait to have me on board
Christian Eko Simarmata It is worth it

This vid rlly showed me how passionate you are about your boards. I officially sold
good job and thanks for all the details !!! i know why it's hard to slide with my abec 11 97 mm now ;) ah ah
Love this video because of the amount of Useful information it provides me when I’m doing my research towards which wheels I should buy.

Very nice explanation of wheels and their use. Well done Evolve! Cheers, John ;)

I am gonna get the abec 107mm wheels, but there isn’t a 107mm setting on the controller & can I just fit them without changing the gearing?

Love those juicy 107’s - the extra diameter really helps the roll and comfort when things are a little rough -
Ken Lee does the range increase?

Thank you Dave!
Do the larger diameter wheels make the motor work harder going up steep inclines?
What’s the best wheel for speed? And the best for torque/acceleration on an Exway riot? Thanks!
We recommend jumping on an Evolve!
I have the Abec11 97s they are great. I also have the AT as I bought the 2 in 1 board. I really hate the voltage sag even over gravel with those.
Thanks for your help guys.
In real world conditions...do the abec 107s really have a big range gap when compared to the all terrain?

Yes it is quite the difference, but the feeling of the ride is also very different.
@@evolveSkateboards hmmm I'll prob take a test ride at skaterhq in moorepark before I order it. 330 for the conversion kit! Have to but a new R2 remote too. Lol
Nice Video.
I have a question.
So the GT with 107 abec wheels and the 32 drive gear is the fastest board?
Sorry for my english I‘m from switzerland.
yeah
But if you live in a city that has many slopes, I also advise you to take the 38 tooth gear. More torque for a top speed of 39km/h with 107mm!! In which city of Switzerland are you? I live in Lausanne!
This is correct. Using the 38T gearing on the 107mm wheel is a good choice also as there is a very good balance with speed and acceleration.
I live in Winterthur but I‘m really into speed. But witch board do you have)
Hey Sascha, the fastest setup is any of the GT street boards using the 107mm with the standard 32T gear that comes with the street boards, it will go around 47km/hr on flat smooth surfaces.
Carbon gt. If Winterthur is a flat town go for it with 32th gear !
Is there an affiliate program with evolve?
Will the bigger the wheel decrease your range? Or does every wheel have the same range?
Thomas Wilcox the smaller wheels tend to have more range but I believe the 97 and 107 have a might really acceleration and top speed
Have a higher acceleration and top speed**
Keep them coming!
i have headen what is fastest wheel for this board
Like this one! Much cleared up for some shopping and tweaking
Which AT tiers will give me the most speed and range of AT 7" vs AT 6" vs Offroad 7"
7" with the 47t gear. Check out this link to stats - www.evolveskateboards.com.au/pages/wheels-option-guide
What's the new top speed with the 107 with the tall gear option?
About 29mph .. Depends also on rider weight and terrain
I have never heard the word strut used this much when talking about skateboard parts, what is a strut?
Hanger is another terminology for the word 'Strut".
How do the different street wheels affect range if at all?
SqueepsMcgee Yeah I found I got more range out of the bigger wheels. 97mm vs 80/83mm. The 97mm definitely got more range, it was noticeable.
After using the AT’s i cant ride the regular wheels..
The F1 are awesome
I've been looking for something that can change my life forever.
It's going to be your products or Australia..
🤼♂️
Junji Suzuki I'd say do both
Congrats Lachlan... Enjoy the new wheels and ride... ;-)
Abec 11 the better one! 97

I just buy my evolve GT
