Wow, that was an absolute steal for $50, the case alone was worth the 50 bucks! You did a great job cleaning the guitar up and bringing it back to life and it sounds great.
Wow, $50!?! Great looking guitar, plus a solid travel case; and, it’s already got some real “relicing” (i.e. corrosion, dings and scrapes). What a score! You’re friend is a lucky man. Nice job on the thorough cleaning and set-up, too. Really looks great, now that you’ve spiffed it all up.
7:37 Wow! You’re REALLY brave, polishing the frets using a Dremel without any kind of guard on the fretboard that way! That takes serious hand precision!
Just bought a 1967 Fender Coranado II this summer at a yard sale. This did not have a case but $75.00 and for $10.00 more he included an Ibanez RG and a small practice amp. Fender plays sweet.
Nice work. The fretboard looks great. And that case- wow! Maybe I'm in the minority, but I hate the black/yellow sunburst look. Since you had it disassembled, it would have been the perfect time to fix the body, so you could paint it a nicer color.
Really informative video - I learned a lot. I recently bought a guitar with gold chromed humbucker covers - what product would you advise to polish/coat them? I want to keep them from fading to silver over time and to protect them from the oils in fingertips. TIA 😊
Insane find! someone never wanted that in their home and sold it for the "someone take this thing" price. SCORE! I didn't know fender used that P90's style pickup design with the 2 ceramic magnets on either side of metal slug pole pieces. I thought they only used alnico pole pieces
@The Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ Effect Its a Mexico version so around 400.00 without the case. So with the case it's right up there I'd guess. But I'm definitely no strat expert. Lol. I forgot to mention he got a Fender Mustang II combo amp for another 50. That thing sounds sick!
These are my fav vids!!!!!!!!!! ROCK ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a deal!

Thanks Nick. He is really enjoying it now.
Very Nice!
Have a Good weekend Mike
You do the same my brother!

The secret is in the right speed, and the proper cut compound. Too aggressive of a cut would definitely damage the board.
What a score!
Big time. Thanks for watching!

Hell yes! That's awesome!
Nice find. That fingerboard grain really popped after being cleaned up.
Thanks. Just got off the phone with him. He was very happy.

Just a coat of wax on plating really helps.
Can Do! Thanks Man! 😁
@@JamieLynnMorris you are very welcome.

Yes the strats that had Made in Mexico on the front of the headstock had these ceramic bar magnets.
I'm pretty sure it was only the Mexico strats with those pickups, but I could be wrong. I offered to buy it from him. He refused. Lol.
The plastic costs more than $50 - Some people are so lucky
I want it now. Lol
@@FultonStreetBeats Of course you want ... how much do you think it worth? More than 850$
