- 🎸 Hey Peeps! It's Phill here at Rising Sun Guitar Mods! Today, I've got my hands on a rusty old Fender Squier Stratocaster that's more rust than guitar, a real diamond in the rough found on marketplace. It's a challenge I'm eager to tackle: transforming this rusty old Strat into the dream guitar it's meant to be.

''Sticky man juice'' 😅 Heres a tip, spunking on your guitar does not improve the tone.
😂😂
Like your work and I look forward to veiwing your other clips
Thanks man, I have about 8 videos currently editing, so stay tuned.
Exicted for the series. I came to the channel because of your Roadstar Ibanez Video :)
Awesome thanks. The Roadstar is an awesome guitar. Did you check out the Blazer I fixed up for a viewer? 🤘🏼
Hey Man, What grit of sandpaper do you use to get rid of finish and what kind of dye you use to tint the neck 😅 Thanks
1500 grit to rub the neck down, the stain is called Feastwood. It’s a spirit based stain. You could start with rougher paper but you will need to step through to finer grits otherwise you will see scratches. Hope this helps.
I got a similar Strat same colour and HSS but with small head stock paid $236.00 new with black bridge.I have had many strats but this one surprised me with excellent sounding pick ups having a perfect sweet sound IMO on the 4th and 2th position switch..Anyways you know your craft and your resto work is excellent! Thanks for your upload and great video, Cheers!
Cheers bro, appreciate the comment. This was 100 AUD so in USD that's about 65 bucks. That's a good score in my book. Stay tuned next part coming next week.
Yes indeed lot’s of guitar for that money! Will of course check out next weeks video
😉
Cool vid... Nice ink too bro!

Not the video you want to watch when you currently have a strat itch haha
What’s your ideal strat?
@@RisingSunGuitarMods At the moment a Squier Classic Vibe (maple neck). Always been a LP player so it really will be going into a different world :)
Another good find..
Little more expensive but still good enough.
What a fantastic video have a wonderful day also what is your favorite year from the 2010s ❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊
Thanks for your kind words. 2010 and 2013. The years my kids were born. 😉
You are a good bloke, fair play to you mate
Thanks mate.
No worries mate, all the best from Brighton, UK
Can’t wait to see the end of this one!

Like P90s? Don't bet on it!
No no... lol The magnets are positioned like p90's... not the pickups are like P90's. 😂
