I have been watching you for a very long time and your creativity and precision continues to amaze me. You are AWESOME!!! Thank you again for sharing your time and talents with us.
That’s an awesome Kake! I will post a picture of the Monster Truck cake I make for my grandson at the end of May. Thank you so much for all the great ideas. Hopefully I’m in the Kake Academy by then! 🤞🏼
Thank you so much for your tutorial, I have been using your teaching for my family cakes and they have been so impressed with the results. Again thank you. Oh I almost forgot. I also make sure that I tell them about your channel as well as my small one that way you get more viewers. Thank you again
@@KarolynsKakes I actually want to do a hot wheels one. I’ve seen your video on the hot wheels cake. Have you done anymore hot wheels cakes? I love both so much.
Any cake decorator who doesnt watch you should get a felony. Btw, when you put the monster truck driving up the green cake, at first when you added the icing I thought you were trying to make it look like the truck was slinging mud - or icing in this case. I think that would have been cool. It's absolutely gorgeous though. Kanon has great taste in color (pun intended) because that bright green looks amazing on this cake!
Always amazing work, I just love listening to you talk. One request please, can you teach us how much fondant to use on different cake sizes? For instance how many pounds did you start off with for the black tire fondant cake? I’ve been looking everywhere on the internet and I can’t find a cheat sheet for covering any cakes sizes with fondant. 😅
Thank you Linda! I always make my own marshmallow fondant. I find that store bought fondant is too soft and cracks when I work with it. I always add a little Tylose powder to my marshmallow fondant to help make it stretchy and pliable. Here's a video showing how I make it! th-cam.com/video/iTAzMgpJc9M/w-d-xo.html
Gorgeous cake!!!!! Was just wondering if you make your own fondant or do you buy it premade? And if you buy it , what brand do you use? Am new to your channel, but already love it❤
Thank you Linda! I only make my own marshmallow fondant. I don't like store bought fondant because (for me) it's too soft and doesn't hold its shape or stiffen with the addition of Tylose. Here's a video where I show how to get the fondant to the right consistency! th-cam.com/video/yZTS1KoBuXk/w-d-xo.html
Hi Karolyn, I’m doing a 10” tire cake with the same tire mold would you recommend doing a 2 layer torted or not torted ? Or even a 3 layer not torted ? Thank you in advance!!
Our electricity went out at 9:15 this morning and we’re still sitting in the dark 4 hours later which made me wonder what you do in that situation when you’ve got freezers full of cakes and cakes that you’re working on and you have an extended period of time when you can’t do anything because you have no electricity!
That freakin stinks! I've had that happen before and I ended up running errands and trying to get other things done, like planning designs for upcoming cakes, filing paperwork, etc. Luckily it doesn't happen too much here because the electrical wires are underground.
@@KarolynsKakes I don’t think they can do that down here (Louisiana) but they need to do something! So I just put 3 six inch cakes in the freezer. What is the shortest amount of time I can get away with having them in the freezer?
Which edible printer do you use? I see where you purchase from and am looking into ordering from them as well. But wondering if I can get a printer in store or on Amazon and would prefer a tank printer.
Love this! I so wish I would have been able to get the fondant to work. I made some and it looks great when it’s wrapped up in plastic wrap. As soon as I take it out and kneed it. It just breaks apart. Not stretchy at all. 😢 great video as always thank you for sharing! ❤
I know this may sound silly but your fondant has tylose powder in it to make it hard. Is it still ok to eat? Or does it become to hard? Thanks always love watching your creations 😊
You can still eat it! It dries hard enough to hold its shape, but not so hard that it's not edible. It's kind of like eating stale fudge...it's hard and stiff, but you can still bite into it. I hope that makes sense!
Karolyn, congrats on 85k🎉🎉. The cake is amazing.
Thanks boo! Gettin close to the silver play button! 💜🙏
I love the colours. wonderful design. 😍
Thank you! 😊
That cake is amazing 🤩 best monster truck cake ever!!
Awwww thanks Lor!
Thanks for this video, I’m making my little boys next month so this was helpful!!

Your cakes are absolutely amazing Karolyn, love all your tutorials. You explain it so well. Such an inspiration. Thank you so much for sharing ❤❤❤❤
You are so welcome!
Awesome video! I’m actually going to try a monster truck cake for my grandson in July. This helped a lot.

Iris! Thank you so much, I'm so glad you're enjoying my content! 🙏
This is so satisfying to watch. Thanks for showing us this cake Karolyn 👌🏾
Glad you liked it!!
Gorgeous as always!
Thank you!! 😊
II love the Skewer process to hold trucks. ❤
Yes! You just gotta find a good place to jam it in there!
Hermoso pastel. Gracias 😊
This is an awesome cake!!! Thank you! Might have to make this one for my son’s birthday in July.
It's not too difficult, the hardest part is the tire tread! You can definitely do this.

I didn't even think of that! I should do that next time...🎉
What did I learn? I learned that you have a lot more patience than I do 😆
OMG 😂😂😂 Probably not, I just edit out all the curse words 😂
Love it!

Love this! If you don't mind me asking, how much did you charge for this cake?
Cute cute cute. 🏁🏎️

I just eyeball it (which I know is of no help LOL)! I'm not sure what to recommend, I will have to see if I can figure that out!
Wooow!!

That impression mat is approx. 4.5" tall. I would do 2 layers torted so it's the right height without too much extra space!
@@KarolynsKakes thank you 🥹🫶🏻 working on it rn wish me luck 🍀❤️

Is there anyway you can link the mages for this cake? I’ve tried looking on the internet but I can’t seem to find the ones you have.
