I made make up toppers last week. I noticed that i habe been watching your videos for so long I'm making things using your methods. 😅 Thanks for all of the lessons you teach us all.
I credit Karolyn’s tutorials for my upping my fondant game massively in the last couple of years! Her methods work and she’s not afraid to share them! I ‘buy her a coffee’ after each cake I make with her help 😂❤
Such an elegant looking cake. I could definitely see the improvements when you showed the difference in the make-up brush and bow . It really helps when you remind us no one is perfect Thank you for sharing and keep on caking 💜
I’ve been binge watching your videos since last night like I’m watching a movie. This is so therapeutic. You are such a perfectionist. Your videos make me feel like it’s so able with time and practice. Thank you ❤
Great video. Have you tried brushing your fondant with extract and then dry brushing it with gold dust? It’s my new favorite way to paint fondant gold.
Hi Karolyn. I have the same printer as you but can’t figure out how you only printed on part of the sheet and full length. Can you please share what you did to do that? TIA
I use the Premium Small icing sheets from Icing Images. It's important to get good quality sheets so they don't fall apart when you're handling them! Here's my link to their site: shareasale.com/r.cfm?b=1817175&u=2948238&m=113258&urllink=&afftrack=
When you eat the fondant frosting is it good and does it cut easily? I would love to make these kind of cakes for my customers but I know people are very weird about fondant frosting but some do prefer it I know you mentioned you used marshmallow fondant. Also I have an edible printer would it be possible to make a cake like this but using buttercream frosting and adding the edible image around the cake?
I personally don't like to eat fondant. I don't like the texture with cake. I just eat the cake and icing and leave the fondant on the plate, which is what I recommend people to do if they don't like fondant! You can put the images directly on buttercream. I prefer to put them on fondant first because it helps prevent the image from wrinkling. 😊
I do! I had that cake in the fridge with the edible image on it for 2 days and didn't have an issue. As long as you adhere it correctly to the fondant, starting at one end and smoothing it down so no bubbles form behind it, it should be good!
Karolyn, once again I’m in awe of your talent! I’m just a hobby baker and have learned so much from you. I follow a few cake groups that give advise, and I can’t count the number of times I simply reply “Go to Karolyn’s Cakes” it’s the best advice anyone can get! Thank you for sharing your amazing work and very well explained instructions. Namaste my friend 😊
Can you make a video talking about cake burn out in a cake decorator as a part time hustle and boy I’m so tired I have kids and am married so maybe the kids make it harder but god I’m ready to quit again lol
There was so much to cover in this video that I ended up having to talk a little faster to get through it! I really didn't get any breaks in this one. I try not to make my videos too long!
Oh my gosh, absolutely stunning….
Thank you, you teach detaily 🥺🥰
Fantastic walkthrough on all of these techniques!
Thanks so much, I'm glad it was helpful!

Ahhh, I have been making bows too early! I did a LV cake a few months ago. I used a stencil. Big pain in the butt! 😂The edible image looks way better!
Stencils can either be great or a nightmare! Sometimes an edible image is the way to go 🙏
Could you have put dark brown/black fondant behind the image that way you wouldn't even see the cracks ?
I definitely could have! Duh! 😂
Great video. Have you tried brushing your fondant with extract and then dry brushing it with gold dust? It’s my new favorite way to paint fondant gold.
I have to try that thank you!!
@@KarolynsKakes I also only need one coat when I do it this way.

Beautiful! Can I ask what icing sheets you use as once you've peeled your images off the look a lot thicker than the sheets I had purchased?

@@KarolynsKakes Okay thank you. That is a great recommendation I guess I didnt think of that I just assumed the whole cake was covered in fondant.
I make my cakes the day before. Would I be able to add the edible image and refrigerate the cake say for 24 hours without the image bubbling?
I do! I had that cake in the fridge with the edible image on it for 2 days and didn't have an issue. As long as you adhere it correctly to the fondant, starting at one end and smoothing it down so no bubbles form behind it, it should be good!

I would love to see a grocery store replicate *THIS* cake for $42. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I'm sure they get that a lot! 😂

What type of paper please? Is it wafer paper or sugar paper? I hope you can answer my question because I need that.
It's sugar paper
First to like ❤❤❤🎉
