I truly relate to this. It took me YEARS to realize all these things, and I'm still a work in progress with promoting my business even though baking and cake decorating make me so much happier than my 9 to 5 job.

Trying to decide how far I wanna go into this. I do have a regular job during the week. I remember when my mom use to always make pound cakes for people for free. Now I make them am set a price and increase the price. I really need to promote more .

People need to pay up front, no money no cake. They need to sign a disclaimer that your cakes are a work of art not an exact science. Sometimes it helps to have a business partner who can be more assertive about the money end of things. Often the artist is not good at the business end of things but only the actual preparation.
Def better to do things upfront. And you’re right it’s more challenging when you have to figure out everything. It’s nice to have a partner so you can focus on what you’re good at.
That is what I want😂. I dont like the business part of this
