From my experience, Waffle House is a breeding ground for stressed college kids, people who've been out to late to access literally any other restaurant, and people who will see a jukebox loaded with all kinds of music and then unironically choose to put on Kid Rock. also, Waffle House has their own record label where they make music about how great it is to eat or work at waffle house and I swear it’s the most cultlike thing I’ve ever heard.

@yousefsh7949 Basically, in all previous iterations of Sub-Zero, he could only freeze you *once* per combo. Now he can freeze you multiple times throughout a combo, as long as either his iceball or new ice trap hit you.
SFV has a jukebox mode that lets you set what music you want playing in all the various modes and the main menu and setting which of the tracks you want in the playlists. Tekken 7 let's you set specific tracks that play on each screen, stage or round. I wish every fighting game had something like that.
I would love to remove the character select screen hip-hop and change it to anything else. The song is so bad and lazy it makes me mad. I turned off the music altogether.
Smash Bros has had alternate songs since melee and has let player have full control over the exact probabilities of which songs play on which stages (including the menu!) since brawl. This is not an impossible feature to add.
I bought SF5 when it was $2.99, and I played 6.4 hours in total. I bought SF6 just this weekend, I've played 29 hours just this weekend and everytime I turned it off, I immediately think about playing it.
To look at it from a different perspective, Sub-Zero has always had a gimmick that no other character has had, freezing people. So now other characters are being brought up to his level. Like Shang Tsung can turn into others.
Dead or Alive 6 allows you to unlock character themes from each game and apply the ones you like for said character. Hell, DoA6 allows you to set which characters you can get from Random Select. Some good concepts.
Mk9 tagteam was what kept me playing it, cause it gave me and my sister a way to play that wasn't one of us wrecking the other, cause we each better at different types of games, its like a lose leader of game design, but I am weird I enjoyed bashing my head into a wall in mk9 with the ladder boss as a kid
removing kameos from mk would be like taking drive rush from sf6... they're so similar in intent but so different in design, that's what's so exciting to me about fighting games right now. they are both going to be good for many years.

Glad you guys brought up the Stadium Stampede mode coming to Fight Forever. I'd love to see Matt and Max playing Fight Forever together and Matt can show Max a few more of the mechanics (just things like springboards/dives and rebound strikes and show the thumbtacks).
To be completely fair to MK1, we have so far only seen gameplay breakdown of 6 characters (4 in stress test + Scorp & Cage) and so far 2 out of the 6 have character specific mechanics which is crazy because that’s 1/3rd of the currently revealed roster. Sure we’ve seen a dozen characters “revealed” but they are “revealed” in the sense that we know they are in the game and playable but we don’t know how they play at all or what mechanics they have as we have only seen like two strings and a special move or two from them. We have no idea what mechanics Rain, Smoke, Raiden, Lao, Mileena etc. have but it gives me a lot of hope when 2 of the 6 we’ve seen full gameplay of have special character specific mechanics especially compared to previous MK games where in 11 all we had was Jax’s arms & all I remember from X was Bo Rai Cho’s alcohol & puking mechanic 😂
Very true. Like, even in seeing Johnny in the reveal trailer, they didn't show off his Hype Meter at all. That was saved for the character breakdown. It's kinda like Guilty Gear. Some characters (Sol, Ky, Baiken) just have their moveset and the universal system mechanics. But others (Zato, Answer, Happy Chaos) have entirely unique moves & mechanics that are specific to them.

I'm in the camp that desperately would like a proper Juke box so my recommendation would be to have 2 options. Option 1. Should be similar to KOF15 jukebox however give more options to be able to change stage music and the music of a certain character if selected. For example if you have your music on random it will either choose the stage music you selected or the character theme of the character you've selected or your opponent. This option is good for online play and to have customized lists. Option 2. Should be similar to Guilty gear Strive. In local versus when choosing a stage there should be a button prompt near the music options to open up a list of all the music obtained and customized playlists. What ever music/list you select overrides your custom or default list and will play that song until you go back to stage select. This option is good for local play so you can filter out and listen to any song easily. Also more music should be available and hopefully they have dlc packs or whatever to obtain them. Could even have music from Capcoms other games like MvC, CvS2, EX series, Megaman, and DMC.
Theory I have on the lack of juke box options They plan to go in on it eventually,but right now they wanna show the music of the current artist working on sf6 and giving the option off the bat to take his music off would come across as insulting to him when he is putting in so much work This isn’t to say people HAVE TO like his music,but give him some time to shine with his work and then maybe in super addition we go in with tracks from older SF games 🤷🏾♂️

So here is the thing. The complaints about MK1 has been the same as every recent NRS game, the animations. It was brought up during MKX, it was brought up during MK11. The only difference now is that SF6 isn’t a dumpster fire that launch SFV was. Way less people are gonna bring up stiff animations of MK11 when SFV launched without an arcade mode, 16 characters, clipping, banana hair and the ultimate comeback mechanic. Now that there is less to complain about, people are looking for something to attack. As we all know, negatives are always louder than positives.
I don't think MK1 is completely kameo reliant; Kenshi has a full run (not to mention a puppet), Cage has a command dash (on top of the hype system, arm breaker tech, & parry FB), & who knows what else the other fighters can do. As far as Sub this the 1st time he can refreeze & on top of that one new move he has access to damned-near every single OG special he ever had that was originally split across multiple games. Does he really need anything else??? Then yea the kameos add traversal options & I think it's all very dope; it becomes about choices & tradeoffs while making each fighter unique. MK9 mobility would break the game...
As an MK fan all i ever see is people dunking on the popular thing by complaining about the animations and its honestly demoralizing when I love the games so much. I don't think people would care nearly as much if it weren't as popular
Well yeah, it follows logically that if the game were less popular, it would be discussed less (in all aspects). But yeah, the animation is total dogshit in Mortal Kombat. It's strangely much worse than fighters with vastly lower budgets.

I feel that the power of modern controls is not as much in normal specials, is in the powerfully autocombos and the 1button supers, is pretty strong, the issue is that, in theory Modern shouldn't be better than classic, it should help people get into classic in my opinion
I use a Qanba Obsidian 1 and play on the ps5 version and I've only had a notification telling me it was a ps4 controller and wouldn't work once and afterward it actually still worked. Have you guys tried a ps4 stick on Sf6 ps5? I'm curious what they mean by everyone needing converters
Licensed ps4 sticks like your obsidian 1 will work with ps5 sf6. The problem is a lot of people use either non licensed sticks/pcbs, or controllers that are just otherwise not compatible, including some older fightpads. And tons of people making their own flatboxes with Pico boards also need converters. Even the Hitbox brand leverless lacks the licensing. Just depends what a person wants to use.

I'm not privileged enough to own a PS5 or a good PC, yet. So, PS4 is the only option I have. But I tell ya what: I love it, even with that version's limitations.
I've said this before and I'll say it again. DNF Duel's issue is the overexaggerated normals that take up half the screen. With those normals the game ceases to be a normal fighting game and more of a party mobile game to kill time with
Ps4 sf6 isn't so bad but then again I play on a ps4 pro but maybe the vanilla ps4 is more behind than it seems and I let my Pro make me think the ps4 wasn't as old.
Eh I'm playing on base PS4, and it honestly doesn't feel weird to me at all. Granted I haven't tried it on PS5 or PC, so maybe it is different than those versions, but it doesn't feel off as it stands
I wish people would talk more about the terrible matchmaking, I get it, Max, Justin and Matt don't want to make the game look bad, but the matchmaking is just so terrible, I can't help but be surprised there's no one really talking about it. It was just mentioned once and that was that. When is Capcom gonna fix their shit? Is this what the game will be for the foreseeable future? I want to iterate that the game is great, it's just the matchmaking that sucks ass! I have to legit go down to 2 bars minimum and that's somehow acceptable? I want to have at the very least 3 bars and still get matches every 3 to 5 minutes, but no, has to be next to the worst connection possible for me to be able to get any matches somewhat consistently.
Rashid is going to be the most broken character in SF6 when he comes out, which Max is going to grind to his up most potential for this character. However I'm still interested in how Mortal Kombat 1 is going to play out as well as both story and arcade. But that being said maybe this will give new light For an upcoming Ki reboot, so to speak, where they can introduce real fatalities in the game.
The KARATE minigame in SF6 World Tour, that's supposed to teach you charge moves? (Non-FGC) streamers are so bad at it. They tend to do better in Hado-Pizza since the button prompts are on-screen.
Not to be a bummer, but you put it out there. Diabetic neuropathy/retinopathy will result in your ability to play fighting games getting flushed down the toilet. I hope you and others reconsider their choices before the consequences are recognized; end stage diabetes is extremely scary and nothing to take lightly. P.S. I unironically think that Max would really enjoy Fortnite if he tried it, especially with how much he enjoyed Blackout in Call of Duty. I've said this before and I'll say it again. DNF Duel's issue is the overexaggerated normals that take up half the screen. With those normals the game ceases to be a normal fighting game and more of a party mobile game to kill time with

Ps4 sf6 isn't so bad but then again I play on a ps4 pro but maybe the vanilla ps4 is more behind than it seems and I let my Pro make me think the ps4 wasn't as old.
Eh I'm playing on base PS4, and it honestly doesn't feel weird to me at all. Granted I haven't tried it on PS5 or PC, so maybe it is different than those versions, but it doesn't feel off as it stands

I wish people would talk more about the terrible matchmaking, I get it, Max, Justin and Matt don't want to make the game look bad, but the matchmaking is just so terrible, I can't help but be surprised there's no one really talking about it. It was just mentioned once and that was that. When is Capcom gonna fix their shit? Is this what the game will be for the foreseeable future?
I want to iterate that the game is great, it's just the matchmaking that sucks ass! I have to legit go down to 2 bars minimum and that's somehow acceptable? I want to have at the very least 3 bars and still get matches every 3 to 5 minutes, but no, has to be next to the worst connection possible for me to be able to get any matches somewhat consistently.
Rashid is going to be the most broken character in SF6 when he comes out, which Max is going to grind to his up most potential for this character.
However I'm still interested in how Mortal Kombat 1 is going to play out as well as both story and arcade. But that being said maybe this will give new light For an upcoming Ki reboot, so to speak, where they can introduce real fatalities in the game.

The KARATE minigame in SF6 World Tour, that's supposed to teach you charge moves? (Non-FGC) streamers are so bad at it. They tend to do better in Hado-Pizza since the button prompts are on-screen.

Not to be a bummer, but you put it out there. Diabetic neuropathy/retinopathy will result in your ability to play fighting games getting flushed down the toilet. I hope you and others reconsider their choices before the consequences are recognized; end stage diabetes is extremely scary and nothing to take lightly.

I unironically think that Max would really enjoy Fortnite if he tried it, especially with how much he enjoyed Blackout in Call of Duty. I understand why he doesn't want to (I wouldn't want to deal with the audience that game brings either) but it would be interesting to see him try. I imagine it will happen eventually.
