  • In this full interview, China Mac speaks with VladTV about all the recent developments in the culture of hip-hop, most notably the tragic passing of the late Nipsey Hussle. During the interview, he compares Nipsey Hussle to Jesus in consideration to his influence and what he meant to his community, while theorizing that Nipsey may have preferred to die young to make an even bigger impact and leave a stronger legacy.
    With respect to other current events, he mentions that he predicted that Tekashi was going to cooperate with the feds from the beginning, while also speaking on bootlegging in China and the controversial success behind Lil Nas X and "Old Town Road."

      He's not TRYING to be anything.... You can tell the difference between a wannabe who has never been around that, just trying to imitate what they caught through media or their friends and somebody who REALLY grew up in and around that influence and embodies that. He's definitely not a fake clout chaser, he knows himself, it's clear in how he carries himself. As for his music and his channel.... at least he's doing something constructive instead of living off his past. Most these young (and some old) ignorant rappers will try to glorify or hang on to it. He's spoken on it numerous times in great detail and probably doesn't want to relive it again.... same with anybody who goes through some REAL shit. Vlad may have the platform, but he's the real wannabe trust me

    • @moscokidd3813
      @moscokidd3813 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @Will Woodfall ...The black way??... So no Chinese, White, Indian or individual of any other ethnicity you could possibly name has ever committed such an act in a moment of stupidity?? Or are you implying gun crime is exclusive to black people? And how do you know how his people move?...name one of his affiliates?The gang he was a part of were all Chinese and made fun of his affinity with hip hop culture... he spoke on that previously, so how in the world did you get "The black way" from that? You're articulate but sound ignorant as hell at the same time!
      His maturity level and character is 10x ahead of Vlad who is still the corny white boy over excited by black culture....Its in the subtext of everything that comes out of his mouth... he's in what his 40s? And sounds like a teenager trying to fit in.
      That's what I mean by real. China Mac obviously made mistakes out of ignorance yes....but.... he takes responsibility for them and has had time to reflect on them. More importantly he isn't trying to capitalise off it by mentioning it every 5 seconds, he is trying to DISTANCE himself from that character and build a new, more legitimate path for himself... He comes on this channel for the exposure yes but not to constantly relive something that was probably one of the most traumatic experiences of his life... the only people excited over that or look at that situation with a slap dash attitude are those who have never really been through any real experiences. It's like you getting held hostage at gunpoint and then every time you come out somebody asking you... "So when you were in that dark room with a bag over your head and the barrel of a gun in your back....You do remember that don't you?......What was that like...?"

    • @moscokidd3813
      @moscokidd3813 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Will Woodfall I talk shit?...... are you reading these walls of text you're typing? I'll say it again, you sound ignorant as hell! I didn't make any assumptions... I asked you questions to highlight the lack of substance or evidence for your opinions because what I can't understand is how someone can seemingly write so well yet sound THAT stupid! Crime is and always has been UNIVERSAL! And that is ALL types of crime. You're talking about history... so your trying to omit the fact that there has been mass genocide carried out by WHITE Europeans going back decades? Or that Middle Eastern countries like Syria/Iran/Iraq/Russia haven't been war torn and riddled with the same if not worse cases of violence and corruption that you so happily pointed out that Africa has? The majority of drug trafficking is controlled and carried out by WHITE males, same with firearms trading....Would you like me to touch on all the school shooting incidents or the church shooting incidents in America because everybody is so trigger happy.... all carried out by?.... WHITE males. You're a classic example of someone with a lot of talk but nothing to say. Low level Black on black crime is a real problem and it exists without a doubt.... These same things exist in all ethnic groups on MANY levels! You tried to imply he's imitating something that is inherently BLACK by being previously involved in gang culture like black people invented gang culture....who's perpetuating the stereotype you or me?? Plus all his rivals were also CHINESE and from what he's said he was the only one out of his circle that liked rap.... The fact he's influenced by hip hop culture just happens to be a result of him growing up in NYC in a particular time period like many others....nothing more and in fact, again from what he relayed his initiation was linked to Buddhism!
      And just to address that last part, I rarely watch this channel.
      I occasionally drop in when he interviews an artist I may like or those who have some relevant insight or an intelligent viewpoint to share... but the fact you're defending the fuckery on here so passionately says more about why YOU come here than me. Be safe bro 👍

    Would be cool to know his stories in music. At the end of the day, it’s about where he is going and who he define himself as and to hear his side of story from that perspective serves better purpose than just his past. Like he said “at the end of the day, I’m an artist. I make good music.” You can tell he wanted to talk about music and just maybe how his past impacted him to who he became and evolved into today.

    6:52 I had to leave a secondary comment. Frankly this is insulting. Saying nipsys death had a bigger impact than malcolm'xs death is incorrect. Malcomx moved nations . He fought for everything that decent human beings stand for.During malcomx era his death was bigger than ever. Malcomx was a religious figure that is remembered to this day. You cant even put them in the same category.

      Yeah what he is saying though is there was more of a reason for malcom x and Mlk to be doing what they were doing. But nipsey didn't really have to be in the situation he was in. And nipseys death definitely impacted people on a different level. I don't think it was a smart comparison but just because you dont like the comparison doesnt mean he is wrong.

    Yes bootlegging is lazy because it takes away and devalues the work of an originator. I don't know why China Mac would need to defend that. You are China Mac, an individual born of and into a country; however, you are not that country. You can't compare or defend the workings of a communist country to one that is not using morals to differentiate. Let this be a lesson to China Mac. You are prolific, eloquent, charismatic, assertive, and intelligent. You can't however, speak on everything. Seemingly on most of the subjects you approach, you very well know how to end your sentences with a true period. On the subject of "bootlegging" you failed to practice that. Alas, no one is perfect. No love lost here. I love ya. Keep on rolling brotha!........j/drew

    About the Lil Nas X thing, I believe the country crowd simply didn’t want hip hop to infiltrate “their” beloved country music and that’s why they took it off!

    I think of course if he HAD to go out nipsey would have wanted to go as a martyr and would be happy his message lived on and was so impactful. But I dont think he would have wanted to go out at all when not only was his message already being heard and he was already held in high esteem. But mainly I'm positive he would have wanted to be there to raise his children and especially wouldn't have wanted to have that happened right in front of his daughter. I don't think nipsey wanted to die at all. Or would have wanted to die like that. I think he for sure would have wanted to be seen as. Martyr and his message spread as a result of his death but. Do I think he would have been happy to get blasted at 33 instead of continuing living and pursuing his goals. No. Content with that part of the outcome sure. But did he prefer it. No I think he wouldn't have rather died as an old man having decades of love and experiences with his beautiful wife and kids and continues to be the amazing man he was
