My question is, although this is a good tool for time tracking purposes and to formulate total hours for reporting, can this resource with the Google Sheets be used for accountability. I wish there was a way to set time parameters so that the employee only had certain time frames to enter their information. Fore instance, say they were to clock in at 4pm, but they show up at 5pm. They would still be able to clock in at 4pm. But if there were a way to set a time parameter, where there could only enter their data fifteen minutes before or after their initial shift start and end time?

I think my new video titled The Best Employee timesheet using NFCs helps with this problem! Check it out and let me know what you think. I know its not exactly what you are looking for but I hope its usable solution.

This doesn't work very well because the employee self reports the times they come in and out. A "Clock In"-"Clock Out" form will automatically put the times in. However each entry, being on a new line, prevents you from being able to calculate hours worked. I have searched and searched for a solution but can't find one.

Is it possible somehow to automatically populate info in to Google time sheet from a "punch in or scan device " ?

Hey Misha! This was a hard one to crack but I think I figured out a way to do exactly what you want. Check out my newer video that goes over how to use an NFC to use as a swipe card on a dedicated device. Thanks!

Do you have to create a new form off the spreadsheet for each employee?

This method makes it so that you use a new form for each employee.

The formulas should still work in counting the total hours.

what if we need to deduct lunch time?

You could add either two columns for time out for lunch and then time in for lunch. The subtract the total hours by the lunch time or you could have them just fill out time taken off for lunch and subtract that from the total time
