I literally had a stroke when I played Stardew Valley for the first time, married Shane, and his nasty aah hut just moved into my pink pastel house I was crying and googling for divorce 😭

Yeah i get he used to be a alcoholic, but he stoped drinking before you date him. Does he collect his old beer cans?!?!?!
This is why i can't really marry him his room doesn't reflect him in the present but his past, i still keep him as a friend.

i never noticed emily having the matching heart and oasis painting, that makes her even cuter to me

Krobus's room is the best because you can decorate it for him. And i always put a void egg mayo on his table. My precious roommate. ☺️

agreed! i like putting a sign of the vessel and potted horseradish in there, and once the night market rolls around again i'm gonna put down an aquarium with a midnight squid. i think the glow would be a nice nod to the sewers, and since he says he needs high humidity to feel comfortable, it's gotta be a good environment for plants in there, right? he's an absolute sweetheart, i think he deserves a room with built-in favorite snacks =)

I do the same with Emily's room: I put in her gifted sewing machine, a Sign of the Vessel, a decorative crystal and certain items from 1.6

I think Shane's room is a good reflection of his depression. He's in a better mental state on the farm than he ever has been, but his depression hasn't been completely cured just because he's in a better space. I think it makes sense that his spouse room would be kind of a mess.
Sebastian's stoner dungeon is still the best room though

That was quite an interesting ranking topic.
Shane absolutely has the worst room, but Crobus, I also wouldn't really enjoy, having this dungeon in my house and put next into D tier. I also love, how Harvey truly is more than just a doctor.
Leah told me after marrying her that she wanted a pet rabbit. That should be in her room, too
That would have been so sweet!!
On the plus side, the setup would probably have been even worse than the hamster. Rabbits need a ton of space. So maybe it's better we're not getting to see it.
@@lachouette_et_le_phoque If there was a rabbit hutch outside it might not be too terrible. I know I have rabbits in the coop.
With penny, I interpreted it as her little table and cushions would be for her and the players future children to be taught by her rather than vincent and jas. penny has dialogue where she mentions having kids and im pretty sure if you say you dont want them, you can lose hearts? But i like her room :)

I honestly took Penny's set up to be for her to teach her future kids. Penny also mentions wanting a family and I can see that being a thing for her.

We can pretend the little cushion seats in Penny's room are for her kids. She does mention wanting kids so maybe it's a place she can read to her children. Or to help with their homework.
Also Shane seems to really love plants in my game, he is buying new plants around the house. Can't complain I would have bought more myself but I just let Shane do it now. He also loves the gridball/sports wallpaper. He chose it twice. Kitchen and then our shared bedroom. He changed the bedroom while I was on Ginger Island 😅 His room might not be great but he makes an effort in the rest of the house.

Shane keeps giving me weirdly plain "modern" furniture LOL
I add chairs and rugs to the spouse rooms where I can, I gave Elliot a cozy reading armchair next to the barrels. And next to the window in Harvey’s I added a bookshelf that looks the most like the one in his apartment, I like the idea that it’s the one piece of furniture he brought over.
You’ve inspired me, if I do a Leah run I’m going to add plants and plushies to her room. She needs the rep in there.
Have you seen the Shane room edits people have made with carpets and plants covering the filth, funny!

another way to read penny's little study area could be more about her making sure she's not imposing on your space if she has guests over.. not that our spouses ever have company over, but maybe they should!
maru's room feels a little weird. like she should have everything on shelves or tables at least instead of on the floor. i would drop her room to C tier for that alone

I like Shane's room, I like to think we'd hangout in there playing video games all night pounding energy drinks, Mario cart 64 and crash team racing. XD it totally adds the the escapism.
I really want the option to play games with your spouse like we get in the heart event with Abigail.

@@sodorart yes, I have this dream of an expansion that adds more depth to the dating in the game. Imagine being able to buy the phone and calls the villager you're dating and invite them to a special date heart even. Each could have unique dialogue that explore the bachelor, but mostly Shane's character a bit more.
You could go to a picnic on the beach, or go fishing together. Or you could have a contest like in that one festival. Beating them could give you a heart bonus. Or play a video game together. Or maybe you could cook them a meal and we get a list of food types they like. Give them a food they enjoy and your hearts go up.
I'm not going to lie, I'd love to win Shane's heart through his stomach. Lol
Love those ideas! I think it'd also be cool to be able to send people letters in the mail, like in animal crossing !
@@sodorart xD I loved sending letters in animal crossing. I used to spend a lot of time on my letters even though the villager wasn't real XD I wrote them like they were.
That could be a really fun addition to stardew valley. I wonder what kind of letter I would send Abigail or Mayor Lewis.

I thought the 'music stand' was an ouija board, but i could be wrong. But i agree Abigail's room is hella good. I prefer Emily, tho. I can relate to her charisma and creativity.
On my first playthrough I married Abigail and had no idea that the spouse rooms had unique wallpapers because I had that same wallpaper in my room 😊
