      Awww Thank you! I have been away far too long. It took forever to finally get settled in the new place but I am glad to be back to filming again.
      So happy you like the latest pooch. I might have to borrow her hat the next time I go grocery shopping!

    Oh my that is too cute for words! I actually almost bought a shirt the other day in a very, very similar fabric, but it's too darn hot to be buying long sleeve shirt!

    • @Faeriehood
      @Faeriehood  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      But it won’t be hot 🥵 forever….you should have bought it!

      @@Faeriehood ha, I went back and got a shacket in a very similar fabric instead. I felt it was much more wearable. Perhaps you can whip up a lil cap for me to top it off

      Fab! I hope you don’t mind it bejeweled and bedazzled…. Naturally, I will expect a fashion show 💁‍♂️

    Love this - I've been struggling for a way to make a crown with buckram for a video in working on - I'm going to try this (wont show all the techniques so I can send across people to you!) - I hope you are well?

      I am thrilled If I can help in any small way! Please share as much as you like….no top secrets here 😉. Always happy to share what I know! I look forward to seeing your video 🤩. Currently working on a new video myself, so things are slightly curious here in the rabbit hole. Sending you loads of happy, healthy creative vibes! Best of luck ☘️

      Many Thanks for watching my video! Your support means a lot to me & really helps my channel. I have given some thoughts to teaching ( I am still learning how to film my videos & sew at the same time😵‍💫) but if I decide to teach Millinery I would be more likely to post that here on TH-cam so that everyone would have access to the information. Just out of curiousness, would you prefer a Silent Vlog type video ( like the ones I currently post) or ones talking to the camera 🎥?
      Wishing you a lovely week!

      @@Faeriehood Hello! I actually like the silent version as it's so peaceful and unlike many TH-cam video tutorials you allow time for the viewer to read the comment so we don't have to stop and backup to read your comment. One thing that I'd like to know more of is the kind of materials you use both tools and fabric. For example never heard of Buckram, where does one get it? What is it made of? or is that a dumb question. Also the red chalk or crayon you use, what is your favorite kind of scissors? What kind of threads do you use for each stitching process. hope my questions aren't discouraging or overwhelming.

      Thank you the feedback! It really does help me out.
      Please free to ask any questions you like, I am happy to help in any way I can plus it’s lovely to talk about my passion 💝
      1. Buckram is a stiffened “canvas” like material that is thin and lightweight making it perfect for Hat-making. It can be found at any Millinery supply shop.
      2. The red chalk that I use ( mostly for on camera) is tailors wax. I can not personally recommend it as it can be hard to remove ( it’s actually supposed to be easier to remove) regular chalk or soap works better.
      3. My favorite scissors at the moment are Victorinox, they are lightweight and very sharp. My black ones are from England, I bought them from Merchant & Mills
      4. I use cotton threads on my machine and for basting but for hand sewing I prefer Threads from Sajou ( a French haberdashery) All of the threads are made in France and are the best that I have found. The gloving thread is my personal favorite….it’s super fine and comes prewaxed.

      @@Faeriehood Wow! Thank you so much for your informed reply and taking the time to do so, so kind of you. I look at the quality of your work and it reminds me of the dolls I see artists make for National Institute of American Doll Artists-although it's really international. Anyways, I will check out those materials you mentioned above, especially the threads!
