    Welcome to the final part of making my Weimaraner art sculpture .
    In this relaxing sewing video I will handcraft and bead a silk mini Fez hat using classic Millinery, hat making techniques. This includes hand beading with glass pearls and buglebeads plus an extra long diy tassel made from sewing threads

    I’m Wayne. Pleasure to meet you. As an American designer, I moved to Germany to marry my husband about 13 years ago. Here we live with our beloved corgi Truman ( he traveled with me from the states, someone needed to hold my hand 😉) and our two crazy kitties 🐈‍⬛ Elvis & 🐈 Lilly. They all like to pop up in the films for time to time, so be on the look out for those ears!

    Bro, I'm drunk right now and got recommended this video. I just got brought to tears seeing the final product. The tassel making bit really got to me. I've never seen a fez made with such honor and grace, and I collect masonry. the only thing that could have made it better was having the body fabric be quilted, but then it would have taken away from the dazzling jeweled beads. Simply beautiful.

      Sounds like your holiday season is off to a wonderful start, Cheers 🥂!
      Kyle, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for your comment. You have made me feel extremely special. Your words took my breath away. I am honored 🙇‍♂️.
      I hadn’t thought of it before but you are right, quilted fabric would have added an extra special touch!
      I couldn’t be happier knowing that you enjoyed my video….that makes all the effort worth it.
      Thank you for everything that you are and for everything you will become. Most importantly, thank you for your kindness. Wishing you a super festive season and all the joy it brings.

    I absolutely LOVE this video!! Aside from being a seriously underrated talent, watching you work is SO relaxing. Almost meditative. From your uncluttered workspace, to the music, to the unhurried approach to your work, it’s a beautiful piece of mindful watching that makes me want to slow riiiiight down. Oh! And I also learned how to sew with beads and make THE most BEAUtiful tassel!! Thank you for this. Keep up the great work ❤️

    Is the dark green fabric felt?

    • @Faeriehood
      @Faeriehood  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you for asking, yes it is. I used a firm 3mm craft felt as a base.

    • @lucassiqueirahonorato7936
      @lucassiqueirahonorato7936 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Faeriehood synthetic? And what is the lining fabric?

    • @Faeriehood
      @Faeriehood  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @lucassiqueirahonorato7936 Any sort of rigid synthetic works fine. It’s the wire that holds the shape mostly. But if you can’t find firm felt you can always stiffen the inside with a 1:1 ratio of PVA glue and water to get the stability you desire. It will leave a residue ( white marks) but if you line the inside you’ll never notice it.
      The green fabric is silk but any sort of fabrics can be used. When making hats it’s all about “lightweight” as you don’t want the hat to be heavy so I would suggest, lightweight cottons, taffeta, silk, etc.
