When TTD would go down for days/weeks back in 03.. the ride entrance would be clearly marked “CLOSED TODAY” and occasional announcements from employees to the waiting guests that the ride would not be opening whatsoever that day and people would still wait in line outside the entrance as if it may possibly open…
Dude! You are the absolute best, i’ve been fascinated going through your channel. Thanks for making such great content and teaching all of us coaster people out here, you’re able to break down complex things in ways that everyday parkgoers understand and seriously it’s helped me understand so much about this process. Trying to stay on the bright side, the ride and the park didn’t want this to happen, nobody planned this out stuff happens. Heres to hoping they get it right :)
another great video guys! my thing is with these rumors is that i’m not believing any source unless it’s coming from Cedar Point, Zamperla, or Tony Clark himself. because people will take anything and mix it up and stirs up more drama.
I had a feeling something like this might happen so didn't schedule my visit till the 3rd week of August. Will be furious if TT2 isn't open by then. There are other parks across the country I still want to visit. The only reason I decided to go back to Cedar Point was because of TT2. Traveling from Florida which is a little hike. Fingers crossed Zamperla won't let me down.
I’m here for three days! Staying at hotel breakers and spending a fortune. Have season passes two years in a row! I don’t care if zamperla fixes this! The bone headed decisions that the management of this park continues to make, and the poor customer service and inconsistent operations, have finally convinced me to pull the plug on this park once and for all! They’re done padding their pockets with my money! This is worse than a regional park! Hands down would rather go to Dollywood, silver dollar city, and it’s even hard to believe that this is owned by the same company as Kings Island! So many stories! I could fill up this whole comment section on what my family went through! This was not fun! This place is falling apart! The mismanagement isn’t even funny! It’s actually crazy this once was so different and my happy place! I live in west Michigan but been to many parks! It’s ashame!
I'm in a similar situation. 48hrs after opening day l felt confident enough to make reservations for three at Breakers for June 16-17 with FL+. TT2 is the main reason I dropped all that cash. Now I have to go through rescheduling and trying to validate FL+ for another date. My sons and I are disappointed. From Kalamazoo Michigan. GO BLUE
Hey Nick, as someone who has been going for over a 2 decades now, I agree with some of your sentiments, and while i want to hold out hope, management seems to be the issue here and cheaping out on wages and calling things staffing issues. They arent paying enough to attract the type of consistent good workers you want, and management seems to continue to make interesting decisions. We had a few bad experiences in 2022, 2023 was better but mainly because we bought all season fast lane amd just started nitpicking days to go. Gemini inconsistent operations definitely bums me out too. A lot of head scratching to be had, but I try my best to just hold out hope they see the issues and want to fix them. After this merger and a few months in, I expect things to either get better and consistent across the chains, OR well start to see things be changed over time because things started to slip. We shall see. hoping for the best. thanks for commenting, hope yoyu have some good trips next time you get to go
I just left there at closing time and saw a van driving IN by valraven that said the company name American Testing on it. I couldn't get a video cuz we were going opposite directions. But I wonder if it's the 3rd party???
I got the impression that the cycling was done now they are just waiting for all the testing on the parts and sign offs. Maybe I'm just being hopeful because I have no official leg to stand on. But those carriers are beefy they are slightly thicker than the drive wheels now.
@@srt8hmiifythanks for the insight. *Eta- I just looked up the company you suggested, and yes, I can verify that WAS the company, based on the logo on their website (specifically the letter A in American) matching what I saw on the van.
I appreciate the coverage in this video and a more realistic look at the situation. People like Theme Park Predictions or recommendations or whatever he's deciding his channel name is this week, just shit on the manufacturer and park for going with the decision they did. I've lost all respect for his content cause all he does is bash without providing a good update. His negative videos are likely hurting the reputation of the park, while yours is educating and providing updates without being so pessimistic. you earned your self a sub for that and I appreciate your coverage.
We try to just add a layer of conversation to things while maybe helping people learn or understand some stuff, we’re by no means experts and we just love the convo surrounding coasters and generally most people are fun to talk to about this fun hobby of all of ours. I appreciate the sub! Hope you enjoy some of our content as we get into more topics and what not - but always expect us to try and remain positive about things being negative doesn’t feel good. TPR helped our channel grow alot, I haven’t seen his recent video but i’ve saw a few comments like this. Hes a good dude, positive, and generally wants the best for creators and people with the interest of coasters. Hopefully you’ll give him a small chance again sometime, but it’s not for everyone I understand that I always loved the predictions videos of his. Those always kept my mind running and wondering what a park could do next, sometimes we all gotta realize this is just supposed to be fun :) thanks again for the sub hope to have some good convos soon
As you mentioned Hyperia closed after an even shorter amount of operating time. The main difference is Thorpe has been so transparent from the get go and throughout the whole thing, there has been very little negativity swirling around it's closure. With CP staying as silent as they have, it has left sooooooo much room for ppl to just lose their minds. If I'm being honest it's taken alot of the joy away from this coaster and I haven't even ridden it LOL. Cedar Fair is fully capable of being transparent, they did it with Fury🤷♂️🤷♂️ Anyways thanks for not adding to the doom speculation like everyone else is.🤘🤘 It's getting exhausting 💀💀
This park has always been damage control by not being transparent and they insult their general consumer’s intelligence by doing that and causing more damage! It’s not the company! It’s the park!
I agree with this so much you have no idea lol - this is my thoughts exactly just be more transparent is all. Thanks for the comment and good convo on here, trying to not be doom and gloom lol

Lol, who actually kept their hands down on TT2! I am in the let's give Zamperla grace with this issue camp. We gave so much grace to Intamin over the years why not Zamperla? It will reopen even if it does take a year.
@@GhosterCoasters So I think the guy who said a few days ago this was just testing was right. I didn't want to believe it at the time but I think it was data collection. I also expect one more round of testing before the final wheel carriers arrive. Because those carriers only focused on the road wheels. I think they need to test the upstops as well. This is just speculation on my part and no hard evidence to back it up. It is going to be a slow process but the end of July is still possible.
Zamperla is using their get out of jail free card here. Though I think its humerous to call them the new Intamin, I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt until the ride suffers downtime into Halloweekends and the kind of off and on ops that the original was known for.
Still not up and won't be this year. Absolute joke tbh. To think you're ready this year and not open once this year. After cedar pointe rolls out an absolutely disgusting pay per ride scheme, they can't even open the greedy pos coaster. Genuine chef's kiss of stupidity. I'd be suing the ever loving fk out of Zamperla.
I’ve lost faith in their decision making. It was a terrible decision to go with Zamperla, and this proves it. I won’t be surprised if it re-opens and closes again shortly after.
When they get these wheel carriers sorted out, TT2 will INHERENTLY be a more reliable coaster than TTD was, just because of the launch mechanism in use. These trains likely could have run through the season with no incident, but good maintenance and an ethical decision by park management to put safety over immediate profits is what is best for this ride. Without a doubt, Zamperla knows their reputation is riding on this and will do everything they can to make this right. Simulations are far from perfect and can not account for everything a part will be subject to, and this ride puts extreme forces on its components.
I had the same thought about the light sequence on the top hat! Hoping they fix that, plus spruce up the queue, and get the double sided lockers figured out...of course priority one would be getting the thing running again!
@GhosterCoasters yeah, but then again it's not like Steel Vengeance entrance and exit are right by each other either...bigger question is where they could find the space inside the circuit and how they would route the queue back there
I was there this weekend. Black and silver were in the station. The new wheel chassis are definitely new and better structurally. It looks so anyways.
When TTD would go down for days/weeks back in 03.. the ride entrance would be clearly marked “CLOSED TODAY” and occasional announcements from employees to the waiting guests that the ride would not be opening whatsoever that day and people would still wait in line outside the entrance as if it may possibly open…
