Right now, the focus is on the fa cup final even though the odds are stacked against us.
In my opinion, during the summer, united has to push to sign zirkzee, youssouf fofana, todibo, anselmino and geertruida while also selling players to generate more funds. There's no time to waste
Disagree with Zirkzee, yes he got potential but right now what we need is a more experienced striker, someone who's already familiar with the Premier League or someone who's ready for the real deal, coz just like u said there's no more time to waste, if we sign another young player we have to wait for him to develop, and it will take lot of times, also there's not enough experience in that attacking team if we sign Zirkzee.
One thing is certain about this summer is that some portion of the fanbase is going to be angry and/or disappointed when it comes to the manager. INEOS have a huge decision to make and whether they decide to keep ETH or not will be a huge indicator of how they view the club and the direction they want to take it.

People seem to forget the talent he’s had. They have great scouting but come onnnnnn. He’s making bang average players play beautiful football. Lewis dunk, lallana, welbeck…. He’s a great manager with faults like all managers

I feel ETH deserves one more season, with a healthy squad and a proper transfer window this summer. If the new management fulfills our hopes, we may see a team to be proud of (again) next season.

Honestly, INEOS have sort of been chasing their tails since they took over. Things aren't happening fast enough and there's this lingering feeling that next season is going to be no different from this one. Just look at Liverpool. They've already got a new manager in place even before the summer transfer window began. They're doing things quite quickly just as other teams are making important appointments fast enough. INEOS should make a decision on whether they want to keep ETH or not and they should try to get Ashworth here as fast as possible.
The first step into getting this club back on its feet is to establish a proper management in place and how we spend our summer will hugely determine how fast we can get to where we want to be. If we waste it, then we're looking at probably ten to fifteen years till we can win a single UCL or EPL trophy. By then, a majority of the league teams would have caught up to and beaten our records while at the same time setting new ones. Just look at City last night.

There are not too many available elite ( in terms of achievement and style of play) managers out there, but is free and avaivable and yet he has one of the finest footballing tactic.

The silence on backing the manager indicates they will replace him; I just have a gut feeling it will be De Zerbi which I don't think is a great thing but INEOS do seem to rate him. His win percentage is lower than ETH but INEOS want more of a coach than a manager and I think he ticks alot of boxes for them.

De Zerbi would be great for us. You look at ten hags united and see the same transition style of football we have had since Mourinho. Every single manager since then has defaulted back to that style after failing their own style. So to get someone like De Zerbi who will be firm about how they should play, I think would be massive on transitioning us from a poor counter attacking side to a ball playing side. Like, how come Brighton, Newcastle, palace, all these teams play more entertaining football than we do? I would compare a move for De Zerbi to Newcastle getting Eddie Howe, we want to change our philosophy, and we can't do that with towel-in-the-ring ten hag.

Any manager on the shortlist outside of Southgate would be an upgrade on Ten hag if we're being honest. They all know how to implement a system and be competent tactically where they won't have their team getting outplayed every game relying on individual brilliance to bail them out
I wouldn't say any manager is an upgrade. INEOS need to find one that not only fits with their vision but one that can work within their structure and help build something sustainable. Every manager has pros and cons and whether they stick with ETH or move away from him there are risks. You also have to take into account what in goings and out goings there will be to the squad - this will also have a huge bearing on how you play and set up. I think most managers, given the form of some players and the number of injuries would have finished outside the top 4 this season.

Villa and spurs dropped points these last few months we could have caught if we didn't insist on 3-1-6 formation. Any competent manager or even an interim would have set us up better and would have at least finished in europa position

@@theferocious3584 Set up and tactically United could and should have been better yes, but for the last few seasons even pre-ETH we have struggled for goals. The output from our main players at the top end is extremely low. Rashford and Bruno were not at the same levels as last season, Martial out all season and relying on younger, inexperienced players is not something anyone going for top 4 would recommend, especially when you are fighting for spot 4 of 4.
We've seen it for years, this squad, the club in general is very inconsistent. Even last season we had good performances peppered with poor ones. It'll be both up to INEOS and the manager (whoever that will be) to fix that.
