I am not sure why you would think that they would remaster the 3ds version for the Switch even though the Switch is more powerful than the Xbox 360 and the PS3.
It's very possible given the fact the 3DS version never made use of the bottom screen in a meaninful way, mainly in regards to actual gameplay, it was just a line that told you how close you were to the end of the stage
the new standard controls have you press the right trigger button to boost and the Y button on Switch to homing attack. with the legacy controls, the boost button is mapped to Y on the Switch and the homing attack is mapped to the B button

@@PesquiTvgameplaysAh ok.
I think bro just edited the video, cuz why did the lives change
the only thing i need to know is
It is possible to set the jump button on the A button? i play with a gamecube controller and jumping with B is the worst thing ever 😢
it does look like you could rebind buttons in options but im unsure.
If not, you can always remap your buttons on the Switch settings. (Yes, you can do that. You can save up to four presets as well as the default. You could switch A to B and B to A for example.)
@@superplushroompower-up not with that controller, the switch refuse to remap the buttons
It's the USB GameCube controller created for smash bros
@@ThomTails Really? That's dumb.
@@superplushroompower-upyeah, I think you can only remap official pro controllers and Joy Cons as you also can't remap any of the Switch online's retro controllers(Nes, Snes, Genesis and N64)
Jamás creí que jugaría modern Sonic con HedgehogEngine en una consola de Nintendo y menos para el Switch me alegra que hayan invertido en la optimización 👏🏻🤌🏻
OH MY GOD THEY FINALLY TELL YOU WHAT RED RING YOU JUST GOT
FINALLYYYYY!!!
THEY ADDED MULTIPLE SAVE SLOTS TO THE ORIGINAL GENS!! Now we have the Drop Dashcor both Sonics and multiple save slots. FINALLY!
Is there any way to turn off the music filter while boosting? Because it seems like Shadow Generations no longer has that annoying music filter, and I really want to be able to turn it off in Sonic Generations too.
So I can see the lag spikes on the switch but I think they made it run a lot better than I expected. They also made it a lot less vibrant though.
3:00 wow, russification
I'm a bit disappointed that there isn't the hud removal options and photo mode, but this is still a very impressive port
The new Omochao voice sounds like the new Ulala voice in Space Channel 5 VR. I wonder if they are the same voice actress.
Also, I remember the PS3 version running at 30fps so playing this on a Switch Lite is already an upgrade.
I don't really see any changes in Sonic Gen, the noticeable changes are settings, save slots and loading icon in Sonic Unleashed style loading icon
That's the same saving icon from the original generations. The loading icons are the moving star (loading into a stage) and the small sonic silhouettes (loading into white space).
@@jimmysmomschannel I am talking about blue arrows
Other than the 30FPS cap this seems like a pretty good port, hopefully it gets a Switch 2 patch
i'm really happy with generation's switch performance! i've been playing it myself through ambiguous means (on original hardware) and it feels like i'm playing the original on 360. love it!
Finally, a video that doesn’t spoil stuff
Sweet they brought back lives system back I miss hearing 1-up jingle
I was born in a good year.
Yeah I'm equally as impressed that this game runs pretty solid on Switch but I'mma be fr I'm more interested in the fact that Omochao's voice just sounds better lmao, I really like that grit they got on their voice now
WE CAN FINALLY DISABLE THE DAMN OMOCHAO IN THE OPTIONS, THANKS SEGA 3:19 😁
You always could in the original!
You could in the original too. I don't have the game, but I've seen people turn Omochao off.
@@superplushroompower-up Yes, I played the original, the problem is that even after disabling it, it still appears on the loading screens, it's annoying.
@@TheAKIAMVs Ah. That's what you mean. Got it.
How can I add the life counter like in the original ??
Go to settings and turn on challenge Tries.
Omochao got redubbed as well, odd since he has the exact same lines from the OG, in any cases Futaba is the next victim of Omochao abuse after Lucas & Rise.
If this happened years ago before I got the steam deck I’d be so hyped for the switch version lol
Omochao is much more cute than annoying in X Gens, I appreciate it.
Love the new settings and the extra save slots
Switch version actually looks good and its in stable 30 fps. Thats pretty good for handheld mode🔥
They fixed the audio clipping when collecting multiple rings at the same time, interesting. Also I'd probably had played the PS3 or X360 version for the Switch comparison.
I hope they add graphics settings on pc because my PC will 100% hate me when I play Sonic X Shadow Generations
Switch looks insanely close to 360 ngl but maybe a side by side would prove me wrong.
Am I the only one that was hoping they would remove the music muting when boosting?
Ooh they even redid the voice acting too
They brought it to the switch? Right when mine broke.
Honestly it looks exactly like the original game. Not a deal breaker bc we only care about the shadow stuff but for a sonic generations remaster I would expect for graphics textures and models to look half as good as shadow generations. Hope they fix that but i don't think they will
I’m guessing the switch version is more closely related to the original game, so obviously Sonic Generations on its own would run well on Switch, I’m more worried about the Shadow part of the game possibly not running well.
I never liked how the graphics are just the same as the PC and Xbox series X versions. So much for a remaster!
Wait how did you already get it??
The switch version of the game got leaked early.
Is there a max of 3 save slots or does that list scroll and have more?
SEGA is going to be mad.....
not really? because sega made sonic x shadow generations?
How?
This comment is confusing my brain because Sega literally made sonic X shadow generations
It’s because the game doesn’t come out for a couple more days
@@The20thLetter-s4vthey got the game early
I’m more concerned about the frame rate though graphics are good too. Is the frame rate a crisp 60 usually or is that just the emulator?
The Switch version runs at a Stable 1080p 30fps.
@@ahmedhasan4966I think I’m gonna stick to PS5.
@@arakanichigou3582That's fine.
Yeah those 30 fps ain't stable let me tell you that haha.
And the I don't know how to describe it, but the game reads your inputs poorly because of the 30 fps. Like, I can't run in a straight line as Shadow because the game doesn't register fast enough my left stick, so yea stick with PS5 for sure.
Even Frontiers didn't have this kind of technical issues.
How do you open Sonic Generations without a black screen?
When I try to open it in my emulator it turns black and doesnt leave this screen
How many frames is the switch version?
Genuinely surprised the switch version doesn't drop to like 15 fps in action stages
Why? The PS3 AND Xbox 360 versions didn't have that problem
The Switch is literally more powerful than both the Xbox 360 and the PS3.
What convinced you that the Switch somehow can't handle regular generations?
I love the new save file system but it could’ve been 6 save files instead of 3 like Sonic Colors.
I just got sonic x shadow and can anyone confirm before i play it if its exactly like the original but plus shadow? I NEED the nostalgia
meh graphics and non stable 30 fps... how is the imput delay?
I see fitgirl really did repack the switch version huh.
all i can notice is 2 more extra save slots
That and a proper options menu in-game. More complete, and probably fully replaces the launcher from the old PC version
They used classical music! 😍
it actually looks pretty good and like the original
3:55 I hope that light loading in is just an emulator thing
Yes
@@AwesomeKev Oke, that's the last thing I need to fully seal my faith in this project
Can someone tell why do people usually play the Switch versions of multi console games (I'm asking because I'm curious)
Because they can?
Simple It's portable! I can play the game anywhere!
Just Image playing Sonic generations at an airplane!
How are you playing
He’s either playing through an emulator or he got the physical release early
It's in an emulator bro, in the description of the video he says the reason it freezes is because of an emulator
Also it's leak on Nintendo Switch, other platforms will be on the date
@@JayVampruzcould you elaborate on that?
@@TheRealRGP well, some of my friends said that all Nintendo Switch games always gets leak and plays earlier before release date
How are you playing sonic x shadow generations early, I pre ordered it and I still cant play it
The switch version of the game was leaked and there are pysical copies of the switch version already out in the wilds!
@@ahmedhasan4966 BRO, I WANT TO PLAY THIS GAME SO BADLY, I even preordered it!
i'm surprised that it looks this good on the switch
Почему у тебя русский лаколизатор?
hey bro if you can could you show the sonic Adventure skin for sonic x shadow generations?
Does anybody think that this could be a ploy to bring the this type of boost gameplay back considering they're getting the hang of hedgehog engine 2 with the physics and momentum? Maybe they'll do a generations type formula mixed with frontiers but im just spit balling
How can you screen record on Switch?
Aside from the lighting issues in stage on the switch version. Runs pretty well at 30fps. So glad button mapping is setting in the game. I was expecting they'd remaster the 3DS version for switch. But the 3DS had a dual screen so remastering the 3DS version for switch sounds impossible
Wait… what is the difference between legacy vs standard controlls
the new standard controls have you press the right trigger button to boost and the Y button on Switch to homing attack. with the legacy controls, the boost button is mapped to Y on the Switch and the homing attack is mapped to the B button
Standard=Frontiers
Legacy=Generations 2011
A sonic game on switch that looks good? They finally did it
This is switch? Actually Looks fantastic
Yes it is!
wait a minute! There's no russian language in remastered Sonic Generations?
