      I love it, my husband is utilizing it with his airsense 11 and being able to run it continuously with no lights is great.

    I do something similar, but I actually bring that whole apparatus into the shower and use the removable shower head (if you have one) to push water through the whole thing several times with soap. I'll do the same with the head gear. Why buy those expensive UV cleaners right? Great and helpful video.

      yeah the UV/Ozone "cleaners" do they actually work? I saw lefty do a video on them and they were still just as grungy after the clean. However I did buy a hurricane dryer, I can't wait till it shows up.

    you are my go-to cpap expert (rested 11) - I learn a lot from you since I'm new and just passed by 24th day or so. My question now is about the hose cleaning. Even after I shake it out really well and let it hang to dry, I will see little tiny water bubbles along the inside of the hose. I live in dry Colorado - and I'm surprised to see these water bubbles last 3-4 days. what do you advice? Thank you!

      Well thank you! A little trick you might try..plug it into your machine, click on "more" then , turn on the warm up (preheat) it will heat the system for 20 min and then cool for 20 more blowing a slight breeze through for the full 40 min and see if it's dry. Let me know!

      Oh. I also heard you talk about the fart sound. Seems when I roll over in bed it happens. I heard your mask recommendations. Are these masks going to fit my ResMed 11 unit. I currently use the small resmed mask. F20. Thank you!

    I saw a video yesterday that said if you hang it to dry that way, mold will form inside the tube. That you.need to dry it using your CPAP machine.

    • @sarahthecpaplady
      @sarahthecpaplady  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have never had mold. I am unaware of any manufacturers that approve using the machine as a dryer.

      That was my concern! I couldn’t figure out how to get all the water out after leaving it hanging for a day. Yep, used the machine to blow/dry the rest of it. Works like a charm.

    Did those tubes used to be white? You can order new ones if so. I'd be afraid of soap still being ínside.

    • @sarahthecpaplady
      @sarahthecpaplady  ปีที่แล้ว

      Lol no that is resmed heated tubing. Its gray right out of the box. I have not had any issues with residual soap after rinsing normally.

  • @icabod9345
    @icabod9345 ปีที่แล้ว

    I do the same routine with the hot water but coil the tube in the same sink and hold the other end just under the tap. The actual silicone (mask) that touches your skin needs to be scrubbed with Dawn Detergent, Baby Shampoo, etc. using your fingers to get any skin oils and debris off. Just running soapy water and rinsing is not enough. BTW, I tried a ozone cleaner and it oxidized the silicone and had to buy a whole new mask/headgear. The FDA should ban those things.

    • @sarahthecpaplady
      @sarahthecpaplady  ปีที่แล้ว

      Once the soap hits the mask i stop the flow of water and rub down all the parts. Maybe you missed that step in the video. Yes i agree ozone cleaners are BAD.

      I have gotten a look at the iBreeze and I have worked with that company 3B before with success. The only issue to expect is the doctors don't have the software to recover your data.

    • @ronbishop7593
      @ronbishop7593 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had the same problem. My doctor and sleep tech didn't have the software to monitor my progress. In addition, their unit isn't Apple friendly. Getting a return authorization from iBreeze was like pulling teeth. It could 8 emails back and forth and a language barrier with their customer service.

    Now your hose is seeded with tap water microbiome. Not great.

    • @sarahthecpaplady
      @sarahthecpaplady  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's true tap water is not perfect but combined with soap it is what most of us use for cleaning everything in our lives.

      It's funny though. When I used to "clean" my hoses, they would start to smell after a week or so. My current hose has been in use for more than 2 years without "cleaning" and it still smells as fresh as when it came out of the wrapper. 🤔
