I grew up during the first group of boy bands, and my son listened to the boy bands of the 90s. So I recognized all but Candy Girl. When they’re singing the BTS song, Eli is singing in Korean part of the time. He and J both traveled to Korea (I believe with Universal Studios) to perform in shows over there and he learned Japanese and Korean. Just a fun little factoid. This is actually the first video I earmarked in a special playlist called cheer me up. It doesn’t matter how many times I’ve watch this I end up grinning like a fool by the end of it. It’s just pure joy. When they do medleys quite often they will put the “chapters” down at the bottom of the screen. I can’t remember at the moment how to show them but I thought I’d let you know. They also did another BTS cover. They did Butter and it is sheer joy. They had so much fun. Earl, their high tenor (the big guy with the beard) left in 2020. They haven’t replaced him yet. So they’ve been having a lot of featured artists over the last two years. They’ve always done feature artists but they’ve now they’re doing them for every production. And Butter has DeeJay Young. It’s just so much fun to watch, let alone listen to.
I’m a little confused. Eli and Cesar both spent a year at Universal Studios in Japan (at different times). So they both learned Japanese. J worked in the same show at Universal Florida as Geoff, Kathy, Tony and Cesar, but in different time periods. But when they were working with Genshin Impact for their anniversary concert last year they said one big problem was that they had trouble communicating because none of them spoke Korean.
@@Wildecat10 that’s it. I’m going to have to start keeping a database of when I heard certain things because I can never remember. It seems to me that it was an off-the-cuff remark during one of their little web chat or ask me anything videos. But I went back through several that I thought may be it and couldn’t find it -and then just got tired. It might’ve been from another commenter, but I really think it was either a web chat or one of those short videos where two or three of them talk to us. Along the lines of “oh yeah, and did you know that Eli was singing Korean because he learned it when he was in Asia?” I took Spanish for seven years but there’s no way in hell I could ever negotiate any business jobs. He may have only learned a little bit - maybe? If I ever find it I’ll go ahead and respond to this again. I hate being old and forgetful.😕
