@@dhrlh they spiked him same thing but taking out tires won't stop any vehicle slows them down makes them hard to control and given long enough will stop it but that truck has heavy duty steel rims so it probably would have been able to keep going for a while if he didn't hit other cars hitting the other cars is what stopped him looks like he hit the one car on the driver side then that took out that whole wheel and rim broke tie rod or something and he had no steering and could only go left after that. also shooting tires is hard and could ricochet and hit someone. could they have shoot at the trucks radiator sure but again unless they hit a critical engine component it wouldn't stop it immediately and it's more then likely a diesel and those don't overheat that quickly so the chase would have been over well before it overheated. also back to the shooting the tires its a dually so shooting the rear inside tires would be mostly impossible . Yes I'm a carnut and have been my whole life I'm 36 so if you have anymore suggestions on how to stop it safely? Also with that heavy duty front bumper shooting at the radiator could have ricocheted off the bumper so again probably not the smartest thing to do .

All they needed to do was block the road he was on & if he rammed a police car they were behind, let him have all their lead & it would be over. But no, they let him go & be a mortal threat to more people.
Shooting with houses behind not smart or safe and they probably had swat coming with a bearcat but it didn't get there in time also they put spikes down he hits them at 6:32 blocking the road does nothing with yards he can drive through

How was he trapped the truck could easily push the cars out of the way and he could just drive through yards and fences they did spike him on his way out at 6:32 and probaly had swat coming with a bearcat but not much else they could safely do.
Could they have shot his tires?
They had the doggo out there already, they should've let him get some "nom, nom" before taking him away! Doggos have feelings too!
Think this Ace does not know how to turn the lights off …
Why the hell do all those police just let him go again to clip more cars & possibly mow down people. All they needed to do was block the road he was on & if he rammed a police car they were behind, let him have all their lead & it would be over. But no, they let him go & be a mortal threat to more people.
Because he's driving a tank
Shooting with houses behind not smart or safe and they probably had swat coming with a bearcat but it didn't get there in time also they put spikes down he hits them at 6:32 blocking the road does nothing with yards he can drive through
A freind, who is a nurse said it looks like a medical problem from how the guy was acting. Can anyone give an update about the fella?
terrible play by play
I'm betting it was an illegal!!
This is why I never leave my work van running, even if I'm just stopping to grab something out of the back. I turn it off and take my keys.
wow this newscaster can't form a complete sentence!!!and then you replay it again at the end.
Just imagine being married to that lady reporter. Does she ever stop talking?
fire the police what a joke
19:11 car did a better maneuver then the actual police 😂😂😂
It's better to turn off the audio. The anchors suck these days.
*The truck has heavy duty class*
*I always says too much criminal out of the streets*
Stopping the threat is supposed to be the course of action .. instead, they put out the red carpet for him to leasurely drive by, after they had him cornered in, and allowed him to crash into even more innocent people driving. Just makes no sense. It could have been stopped sooner.
Houston police should be forced to watch this after that semi fiasco
They need to get him stoped

500,000 Feet? I am so convinced that to be a TV news anchor one does not need any education at all!
PS: 500,000 feet is just shy of 95 miles.
