The Next-Gen update receives too much hate imo. Yes it launched with FPS issues that still haven't been fully ironed out (primarily on DX12 with Ray Tracing) but in terms of looks, it really is no slouch. People's main issue seems to be the lighting which can easily be fixed with something like Immersive Lighting, PLM or STLM. But I'm playing on a 2070 with no RTX and as of now my PC isn't struggling anywhere near as much as it was on the original 4.0 update. I modded 1.31 to hell & back and originally I too refused to update because I was very attached to old gen. But over time I've come to add over 200 Mods to version 4.04 & I'm having more fun that ever in terms of gameplay & visuals.
The whole "Old gen looks more next gen" statement was understandable at first, but in reality it takes a handful of mods (primarily BlitzFX) to even achieve that. Plus you have to consider, this game is seeing a resurgence due to modding updates which capitalizes on the next-gen version & it's additions...meaning it's inevitable that Old gen will become fully unsupported. Gotta move on eventually...even if it is unfortunate.

So sad old gen still looks 'next gen' than next gen itself with mods... I don't want to seen as ungrateful for what they try in next gen update but next gen update came with some issues that is not fixed... anyway thanks for remind me old gen still looking really great especially compared next gen :)
Yeah unfortunately is true, old gen is more next gen this why i keep saying that this game still look better in is old gen, you need a lot more mods but it worth it, shame is old gen will lose support soon or later for new mods and that makes me sad 😔

@@MasterKing-25 yes true, i think textures mods still work fine but like new stuff made in redkit like quest or maybe animations i think it will not be supported

I prefer to mod 1.32!

Yes at the time that next gen was out i played for 1 month but was unplayable at that time so o role back to old gen and was the best thing i did.
