Got it third try, losing in the second and third levels.
His special is pretty good, mainly preceeded by the Freeze missile, but it's not a very safe car. In the fifth level, for example, I had to wait a bit for the health stations to be back on in order to properly continue the fighting. [EDIT: Although, now that I rewatch it, I noticed I also went up onto a health station by accident while driving in reverse, so I guess I should count that too.] From the seven cars I cleared the game so far, I'd say this goes between Crimson Fury (or maybe Outlaw) and Pit Viper, the latter being the worst.
And I thought the opponents didn't use turbo in this game like it is in Twisted Metal 2, but it turns out I was wrong. While I was playing, I wondered how come I missed the Freeze missile at Outlaw at 6:47, and now I see I didn't, and yet he wasn't frozen when I approached to attack him with the flamethrower. Now I can understand why cars as fast as Spectre managed to outrun me when I was playing with Crimson Fury, even though I haven't checked if he's indeed the fastest car in the game as it says he is (as there are a couple of things that the manual of the game says which are wrong).
At 38:02 and 51:22, you see me trying taking down a tree as I've noticed in the recent playthroughs there is a weapon above it. I still haven't checked the map in depth, but I'm guessing you either have to take it down or maybe there's a ramp at the other side of the quarter from which you must drive through to get it mid-air. A third guess would be to try blowing the house just in front of it to see if the ramp comes out of it. I'll try to figure it out. Oh, just paid more attention to the video, noticed some black smoke coming out of the house as I machine-gunned it... yeah, that must be it - I'll try to blow up the house next time to see what happens.
As for the Arena 5, yeah, having come this far, I can now say for sure I was indeed lucky with Road Kill and Spectre for having beaten it when I did my deathless run with them. lol
