Thank you Wade , I'm really happy that you liked the knife so much, you are a gentleman and a pleasure to watch and chat with, we're definitely kindred spirits regarding knives and the outdoors. I'm not taking commissions at the moment as I have a backlog but I occasionally throw one or two out for sale via my Instagram page or TH-cam channel.
Great knives are always difficult to obtain. I pretty much gave up on the idea, after I was on a list years ago, and then one week before the guy was to start on mine, he decided to quit making knives for a living. I got my money back; but I waited two years for that thing and got punked. I use Moras and a Lagum and an Anders these days. If a knife happens to pop up that's for sale, I'll buy it; but no more orders or waiting. I like Rob's tribute knife; if I ever see one on Ebay or CraigsList, I'll jump on it, but no more waiting years for a cutting tool. I'm content just getting a few laughs from his videos; great fun!!!
i was ridiculously lucky and won the prototype of the Tribute knife in a give-away on Rob's TH-cam channel. it has been perfect! nice to see Rob getting some love. ;)
Recovered from a successful surgery. Back in the woods on a beautiful day. Practicing with a fabulous new blade. Wearing your Seiko Monster. You are truly blessed my friend. We are also blessed to be able to enjoy your videos and learn new techniques from you. Thanks Wade, you're the Best!
Great review of the Tribute knife! Really enjoyed the video so looking forward to your other content 😀 I'm new to your channel but have followed Rob for a long time. He's a great guy and knows his stuff. I've recently received one of his knives, the Bush Tool in 01, brown micarta scales, black liner with but plate. Leather dangler sheath is a beaut too. Looking forward to testing it out but it's a work of art. Take it easy from sunny Oxfordshire 🇬🇧
A very enjoyable review with great skills and I’m in total agreement about Rob’s skills. Hopefully he’ll keep manufacturing so more people can enjoy his work 👍
Oh my goodness that knife is Awsome! Love that blade shape and it's my favorite blade shape too.Great review of a outstanding knie. Thanks for sharing and God Bless.
Very good review of the knife and maker’s info. Great narration also. It appears you like this knife! Rob is an unsung player in the Bushcraft knife realm. If interested, viewers better order something now before his knives become unavailable.
Nice vid Wade, confirms what I already knew, great blade made by a skilled craftsman, it's a gorgeous knife which performs outstanding, thanks for sharing, now I hope I'm in front of his list for a bushtool😁
You are the godfather of feathers! Another great knife Wade, i understand your enthusiasm by whatching. I was pretty sure you ll show us a Jacklore 😀 I was wrong like i always be by the lottery numbers 😀 I like it seeing you quite more often these days. Thanks for the great content. I also have one knife in o1 (bhk explorer) based on your recommandation. Its great. Had anotherone in o1 befreundet but lost it (my triplex saber). Still very sad about it, it was one of my faves. The idea was the bhk replacing it. Works very well too but it hasnt the emotional kind of binding i had to the saber. Its weird but i am sure you know about this kind of feeling to some gearpieces. Bye Wade, ill stay in standby mode
Looks like a great knife - shame they're impossible to get hold of. Belay that comment. Some kind soul finally gave me the information I needed to contact Rob. Ive now got two of his knives.
@@Woodswalker1965 Thanks for that but unfortunately won't entertain Instagram or Facebook or any other nosey s*d who wants to poke around in my personal files/ details. Looks like it will have to be a woodlore pro😉
Hi Wade! ,Thanks 👍 for breaking this down for us, good info. for those of us who pack into the high country.Space and carry weight is always a concern,so it's good to know what is good kit!✌️♥️😃
Thanks for sharing Wade. Rob is a colorful character for sure😁. The big question I have is how does Robs knife stack up against Rod Garcia's MK blade? Your a blessed individual to have so many nice blades ordered n your collection. Nice video my friend, take care.👍👍👍🇺🇸🔪🔥🌲
That is freaky, after watching your last video (thanks for it) I wanted to comment, "have you seen Rob Evans Knifes) but thought it may be rude to do so.
I have a Bushtool from Rob as well. My dangler is held on with 2 snaps and this Tribute knife with a bolt. I would contact Rob if you have any questions. Thanks for watching👍
@@Woodswalker1965. Thanks for the reply, Im intrigued to know how you "tune in" a knife, mine seem to come in 'as is' , take it or leave it. What do you tune?? Length, grind angle, handle, bevel, edge etc?? And How do you do it???
Great video 👍👍 & nice knife 🔪 if you don’t mind could you please tell me how much one of those knives cost ??? All the best & happy new year 🎆 thanks 👌
Hi Shane, just contact Robert on Instagram, he can discuss pricing with you. Links to his Instagram and TH-cam are in the description box of the video. I know there is a long waiting list at the moment. Thanks for watching!
The main difference is the grind ,you're right. The Skookum digs in but the MK wants to ride more on the surface. Skookum hogs out the wood but the MK allows for more control. Both great knives, fun to use. Thanks for the question👊
