- Join me in a day in the life of a Product Marketer: Work From Home Edition! Today I take you through how a typical WFH day looks like for me in Shanghai, China. While I am extremely lucky to have the option to go back to the office, there are days where working from home feels like the right thing to do!
In this casual vlog, I share some of the work I do as a Product Marketing Manager (PMM), my journey to building bigger pecs, and how strong our salespeople really are at influencing others 😉.

Jeff, great video. Unsure if this type of content will stray far away from your intended audience but I think if you post more lifestyle vlogs capturing your life in Shanghai, it'll do wonders and reach a larger group of people.
Thanks so much for the feedback itschrispy, that's actually a really good idea. I think moving forward I'll be incorporating more of these vlogs (in Shanghai) on a monthly basis without losing sight of the more "value-oriented" videos as well :)

I really liked the part where you mentioned listing those three things at the start of each morning.
If I may ask, do you keep any old weekly logs from your agenda - if so, how? - or do you just write over the same template every week? I'd rather keep the data from my daily inputs because I find it interesting to look back into it after some time has passed.
@@gabrielpulga6916 Yes! So Notion has this feature to duplicate new templates, so after I finish a page for week, I simply "archive it" by dragging it down in a "Master Agenda Page" and use a new template!
@@JeffSu Interesting! But doesn't that create an absurd amount of duplicated templates which then become a mess to organize and document?
I'm now seriously thinking about developing an app around this template but with the archive feature we're talking about.
@@gabrielpulga6916 Sorry I don't think I explained clearly. I don't have any template except for 1 agenda template that I duplicate every week (on Monday). Then I fill that template out for the week and the next week I simply duplicate the original template again for week two...does that make sense?

I recently stumbled across your platform and was really intrigued. I know you came from a management consulting background so I’m curious how you pivoted into marketing if you didn’t already address that in a video. Like how did you make up for the lack of marketing experience or is the position really high level that your consulting experience would suffice?

But I don't believe in diets (I'm a bit fan of AthleanX and Jeremy Ethier's methods or losing weight in a healthy fashion) so it's more of a "shift in lifestyle" over the next few weeks/months!
Re: Starbucks - I knowwww but sometimes I'm just so lazy and it's so easy to order them! But yes I try not to think about how much I've spent on them. I'm planning to perhaps do once a month - What do you think? Too much?
Ooh Athlean X and Ethier? I’ll definitely check them out! And I agree with you there! I don’t believe in diets either mainly because they’re very restrictive (tried dieting back in my teenage years and almost developed an eating disorder). Building habits and changing your lifestyle is the way to go, especially if you’re aiming for long term change! Question, what do you do to make waking up at 6am easier? :o Teach me the way O Great One 😆
Regarding Starbucks, I don’t think once or twice a month is too much at all! To be honest, I don’t think I even have a right to criticize you on your Starbucks purchases when I buy $6 drinks myself 😂 Me and my friends love boba tea, which I lovingly call the Starbucks of Asia due to its price, but we only get it whenever we hang out or passed (survived) an exam. I think when you associate a guilty pleasure with something worth celebrating, it will make it more meaningful and, in turn, give you more value for your money. So in your case, maybe after successfully launching that February campaign you mentioned in the video, you can treat yourself to some Starbucks? :3 What do you think about that?

Btw, I saw that "need to have snacks at night" is something to let go of. One thing that works for me and that I started because of the pandemic is to have a bowl of low/no sodium broth instead. Use a small spoon to consume the broth and do so slowly and deliberately/mindfully. Cuts one's appetite and great for keeping weight in check. Let me know if you try it and how it works for you. Consider making your own from scratch, no carton or cube. Options are grated carrot, ginger, hot peppers, endless options. All in intensely boiled water and optional sliver of sesame oil or similar.

I'm using the 16 inch one for my personal use. I like the larger screen real estate!
@@JeffSu yes, think you can do almost everything with it and also work long hours without external monitor. 13 inch is good when moving a lot, having a monitor at home and no deep work required.
I do a morning dump at 6:45 in the morning too, mine is just a little different….
