    Great video! Wondering if you have any other video with a bit more detail - like showing end to end from guest invite to giving access to PBI workspace and finally accessing the PBI report aa the designated guest.

    Very good Ruth, and if i may ask, what kind of license of AAD (minimum) do i have to buy in order to give my "clients" access to my datasets?

    nice video, the people from external organisations, that needs to access Power BI on your tenant, do they need a Power Bi pro license from there own company or do they need a power bi pro license on the tenant from your company which is sharing the reports to external people?

      Either you give them one or they can use their own :)

    Great content as always! Question: Can this be done with a Power BI Pro license, or do you need the Premium - by Capacity license?

      @@CurbalEN Hello, but therefore we should give a Pro account to the guest user in Azure, that's it?

      If they have a pro account you don’t need to pay twice

    I have a question; Will Dynamic RLS works for External users?

  • @VladMZ
    @VladMZ 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    It's never this easy with Microsoft. I work at a B2B company, and while this model works for most of the clients, there are some who have on-prem Active Directory (non Azure). In this case it become hell to set things up, because it requires your client's IT to set up federation of on-prem AD with Azure AD. Not fun activity. But for most of people this works fine.

    Hi Ruth, how about guest users have no licence to powerbi.still they want to access the reports...
    Is it possible through Azure AD security groups?

    • @CurbalEN
      @CurbalEN  ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope, sharing needs a license unless you email the pbix file

    Thank you for the great video. Can guest users also access the datasets in power bi desktop? Or is that a limitation that in pbi desktop he only shows datasets from the original tenant and not from the tenant where you are a guest account?

    • @CurbalEN
      @CurbalEN  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can, but you need to hardcode the code as it won’t show in the UI

    Thank you - I must say as usual Microsoft start with a good cheap product then gradually ruin it,, Their PBI menus are an absolute mess on the PBI Sevice as are tasks like this that are next to impossible to figure out , If you have been working with the tool for years no problem but for new users the multiple pathways to navigate to some obscure setting you need are shocking

    Awesome. I have a question, is there a way I can restrict my viewers to certain views only. Let say we have 5 leads’ reports combined and I have filter on the 5 leads, can I add restrictions that one lead can only view the report of his or her domain only and cannot see others’ reports?
