Thanks Evan. You provide us a lifetime study material.
Your contribution to countless aspiring guitarists is immeasurable! Keep up your amazing work!
Glad you showed up Evan, your transcripts are awesome!!! Good to know, too, that all is well with you and continue with your work, cheers man!!!
Thanks Rafael. It's been a very busy year, and shows no signs of stopping! I had a little window of time between projects and was able to knock this album out.
💪🏻👽🎸
Hey man! I’m so glad you’re posting this. Although the guitar tracks for this album are available and I’ve been able to figure them out for myself a couple of years ago, it’s great to be able to double check. Your transcriptions for LTE, Terminal Velocity and AVFTTOTW have been invaluable. Thank you!
Edit - I’m really curious about the solo, to my ear it sounds like it’s played high with an octaver but some people think John plays the lower octave because it’s louder than the higher one
@@mihneazoican2479 it's octaver, but obviously live, he combined. Some parts he played in the lower register, the faster parts in the higher register
@@mihneazoican2479 There is an octaver on the lead parts. It's turned off when he goes to the unison bends in measure 173.
Excellent work Evan, as always! :)
Thank you, my friend!
Awesome Evan!! Thank you :)
Thanks man
Eres un Maestro!!🎼🎸👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Impeccable, as always. Did you do the whole album?
Yep, stay tuned for videos each day this week, concluding with the title track on Friday.
@@EvanBradleyTranscriptions Awesome!!
Thank you for doing this ❤️
@@EvanBradleyTranscriptions mad respect
Nice work as always! I have the Octavarium book, and you had mentioned the newer books are relatively accurate. Any differences you picked up in transcribing these songs yourself versus how they were transcribed in the official book?
Yes, I actually put together a list of all the edits/corrections I made compared to the original book. That text document will be included with the PDF and GP7 files. The original book is far better than the ones before it, but some things did still manage to sneak through. Basically I found enough that I felt this project was worth doing.
@@EvanBradleyTranscriptions that’s fascinating stuff! I find it so interesting these books can get by when they claim they’ve been overseen, edited or said to have had some form of input from the artist. Speaking of, how is it like working with Opeth on the In Cauda Venenum tab book? How involved are they in the process?
@@angeljgarza I got to edit with Fredrik on the In Cauda Venenum book, which was a great and surreal experience! He was very helpful with the parts I had questions about, and was very complimentary about my transcribing work. Hopefully we get to work together again soon.
Thank you so much ,i really love Octavarium Album.. will the PDF Tabs , available in your Dream Theater Tabs Folder ? Just like all the other DT tabs?
The files will be made available on Friday, after all of the tab videos have debuted on my channel. It will be a separate folder like all other albums.
@@EvanBradleyTranscriptions cool and to think that this week is John Petrucci Birthday and mine too... 😄
What it's the name of the Octavarium font?
Seraphim
@@EvanBradleyTranscriptions thanks a lot!
