In Timothy's brief acceptance speech at the RnR Hall of Fame, he made a point to speak about Randy, who was standing behind him. Timothy showed us once again that he's a class act.

As a bass player and high harmony singer Randy was an inspiration to me ever since I first heard him in Rick Nelson's Stone Canyon Band and then through Poco ,The Eagles and his solo career . RIP Randy and thanks for your contribution to the soundtrack of my life.
I'm not sure how to express this, but I'll try in a broadbrush sort of way. Randy Meisner and Timothy B Schmit both looked happier, more relaxed, and like they remembered it was fun, when they sang with Poco compared to singing with the Eagles.
Randy was the voice of the Eagles and he was the most important of them. Without Randy the sound was never the same. Playing with other musicians and bands was good for him, he sang and played so relaxed. He played with Richard Marx and Timothy together Take it to the limit, very different than with the Eagles, it was awsome. I like that one the most..

Take It To The Limit is Randy's song because of his voice. No one did it like him. Loved Randy's voice better than any of the other Eagles, even Glenn's. Just wish his health was better. Miss his singing.
There wasn’t a single Eagle that didn’t go on to have solo success. They are better than most “super groups”, talent-wise. Hands down, the greatest band of all-time, and it ain’t even close!
I actually think he looks more relaxed & happy in this video than he did in some of his performances with the Eagles (especially toward the end.) He is very talented. I saw the Eagles on 9/4 in Seattle. Wish Randy could have been there too. He was invited but couldn't make it. Sweet man with a humble demeanor. Rare in the music business!
Randy mieser was the best
