  • I got this amazing grinder attachment at a garage sale for $15! What the luck! I don't usually find such good deals, so, I had to research how to use it, and thought that this video would be helpful to others. Nothing's better than grinding your own meat/vegetables/fruit with this thing!

      Fact is, they NEVER gave me a manual with my brand new grinder! It really didn't bother me, as I KNEW I would find instructions on TH-cam! I attempted to watch 2-3 before I came across yours with the actual instructions, on HOW TO set & attach the grinder!
      We have a lot in common in that I cook just about everything from scratch! I also grow a small garden every summer and cann as much as I can!
      I became disappointed in the ground meat I purchased, and decided to do my own, along with making my own hot Italian sausage! There is DEFINITELY a taste difference, a better taste, when you ground your own!
      Thank you for replying to my message! Have a wonderful day and LIFE! ( - ; ( - ;

      earthie48 Johnson thanks a lot that's crazy that come with an instruction manual even if it does I just have a hard time following instructions LOL I actually got my meat grinder at a garage sale for 10 bucks I was so lucky I never find deals. Yes I try to make things as homemade as feasible and I definitely love guarding my own meat I get so picky about ground beef these days just knowing that I can grind my own me off to do a ground hamburger recipe sometime it is so delicious! I've got a couple more recipe videos I need to put up there but having a toddler to chase around makes it hard to do anything these days but I really enjoy researching and reviewing stuff it's like my little escape from mommyhood LOL thanks a lot let me know if you have any recipes that you like or canning advice I've never canned before I've got a girlfriend that cans everything for the winter she is a total Homesteader I'm so jealous! Thanks for the conversation!

      You are absolutely BEAUTIFUL! What is your culture? I'm a 70 yr old Black American! I have 2 grown son's! Three (3) beautiful grandchildren of blended, Japanese decent! One whose done very well, has his own business in IT, served 23 yrs in the Air Force; and the other, just getting released from PRISON after 22+ years! Would you believe he graduated from College with a DOUBLE DEGREE! Yet, HE CHOSE TO HANG OUT with all the WRONG PEOPLE! The saying is, there is ONE in every family, HOW DISAPPOINTING! Thank God, he did NOT have any children; then again, if he had, perhaps that would have prevented him from taking the path he did!
      My son says because of the way I cared for them as children & teenager's IS WHY he's doing so well physically! Thank god, I did something RIGHT, because he has been one big DISAPPOINTMENT!

      earthie48 Johnson thank you so much for the kind compliments I don't feel that way especially feeling ragged most of the days so it's nice to hear thank you. I'm half Chinese and half Caucasian. I'm sure your family is very lucky to have you in their lives it's so important to be a Logan light to those around us we can't control what actions people take just continue to love them where they are at. just my opinion we all have struggles we go through and knowing that there still people that love us no matter what and don't give up. Best regards to you and your family!

    Is there a wrong way or upside down direction to place the blade on to the worm?

    • @SimplisticLiving
      @SimplisticLiving  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think so the four cross grinding blade I think goes on anyway you put it I don't think there's a certain direction

      @@SimplisticLiving I heard someone say to place it sharp side out so the sharp side is against the grinding plate. But it is a bit hard to tell which is the sharp side. Thank you for your reply!

    I can't remove the screw to wash correctly. Your is detachable? I tried to remove the screw, it seems it's attached permanently. It's not good, I am afraid meat will be stuck there. What I am doing wrong.

    • @SimplisticLiving
      @SimplisticLiving  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you mean the center part that rotates to push the food out?

    • @tutsecret499
      @tutsecret499 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SimplisticLiving The white screw that rolls inside, I can't remove to clean it, did the company decided to glue the screw permanently. It's hard to clean because you can remove it. And I noticed that there was still some residue meat there stuck after washing several times with hot and a lot running water. I had to insert a stick very long thin like a knitting needle to remove a little piece of meat stuck around the screw, but I don't if there is still more stuck there that I can't see. I think it's stupid make this with glued screw and it's not safe having residue with rotten meat stuck there.

      @@Othermails08 I'm really interested in why that happened l. I haven't had this happen myself but my course grinding blade is getting dull, I don't know if yours is or not- maybe that's a possibility?

    do you lubricate your blade with grape seed/olive oil first?

    • @SimplisticLiving
      @SimplisticLiving  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I personally do not but for storage sake you can lightly oil it and store in a bag or a bag of rice unoiled, but before each use I do not oil

    Personally, I think it is very important for safety reasons to do assembly of everything, and the last thing you should do is PLUG IT into the wall power. If it is plugged in and you start to assemble it, and bump the power on could get hurt. Just my thoughts on it? I do own one.

    It would be prudent to take a few minutes to learn the actual names of the pieces in the grinder if you plan to 'teach' others to use it, at least IMO.
