That Ghost Dog kill is still one of the most creative kills I’ve ever seen in a film.

That’s because it cannot be done! There is always a P trap in every drain. Plumbing 101. Continuity helps make a movie believable
Mafia guy singing public enemy made me laugh.
I laughed my ass off at how needlesly elaborate and impossible this whole scenario is with the structure of plumbing and how easily it would have been to miss the target, given how it would be impossible to see if they were above the drain even if there wasn't a p-trap. Just walk upstairs and put 2 in his head.
This was one of those "bro I got a wile e coyote of an idea for a hit" and the edgy teen in them overruled any sense of how absurd this scene is.

@@kharilane1340The whole thing is Moon Hoax levels of pea-brain nonsense, but because Oliver Stone directed it, it looks really slick. And that's more convincing than actual forensics for most people.

#1 Ghost Dog is completely bogus. All drains from sinks go through a "trap" (an "S" shaped piece of drain pipe). No gun would "see" the person leaning over the drain in the sink, so it's impossible to get a clear shot.
Bullets care not for your "facts" or "logic" or "knowledge of basic plumbing".
Back, and to the left. Back, and to the left. Sounds like an annoying sibling repeatedly forcing you to watch a TH-cam video they've found.

@@MovieWhisperer I don't have anything against them. I was just getting tired of seeing them in EVERYTHING you posted. There are a lot of great movies out there without relying on these three movies all the time. :-)
@@itsjustme8947 I wasn't repeating the scenes. It can be the same movie, but the scenes are different. And now remember the Schindler's List, there is a lot of headshot scenes, so it will be repeating from one volume to another until there's no more scenes.)
@@MovieWhisperer Just saying that there are a lot of movies with fantastic knife kills, headshots, etc. Please don't burn out a couple of great movies. Hell, Dawn of the Dead could give you a ton by itself, lol!

Depending on the part of the brain that is hit and the caliber (at the right distance some will indeed leave a rather clean hole) it's survivable. Blood loss and hematoma/swelling of the brain and risk of infection would be the most concerning complications.
The typical Hollywood middle of the upper forehead target is actually one of the less leathal ones especially if it's not a downwards trajectory.
For a shot to be instantly leathal it would need to hit the brain stem... So a good bit lower than what we usually see...

7:30 It annoys me how movie makers seem to think that if you don't actually watch the kill happen, then it doesn't happen. You don't actually need to see the lawyer get killed to know that's what happens. It's also what made the death of Javert in the Les Mis movie hilarious.

The pressure from the round hitting the back of his head created an exit wound and a jet of blood and brains, causing JFK's head to swing backward.
There wasn't a real plumber within 10 miles of that first scene.

In the movie Kate, that was not a kill. She was grazed on the cheek, but was killed from that. Great movie though.

First wouldn't work. There's still a p-trap under the sink and the drain normally goes into the wall. Entertaining tho.
Scene #1 would not happen as the p-trap would offset the pipe and it would not be a straight shot.
There's another one you need to look up it's from the Omen III , epic head getting blown off when the journalists enter the door of the politician it's insane

@@generalyellor8188 Well, it's all subjective, but I've seen thousands of movies. Some of them are great, some mediocre and some bad. With that said you can clearly see the patterns and cliches coming from one script to another. And Kate is a mediocre movie for one night, which you won't rewatch again. And the indicator of a good movie is how many times you can rewatch it and enjoy it every single time.
Imagine sucking at a John Wick spinoff so bad, you decided to kill off the main character at the end.
