Great content and insight. Love the rationale. My undervalued pick was Torkleson. Bought his 2022 SP for $12. Great upside with little downside in terms of my speculative investment
@@SpitballinCards you're welcome. Also going to pick up some of the recommendations you mentioned. This is the fun part of the hobby .the outcome isn't important
New analytics say to put your best hitter 2nd. Thats why the Astros are hitting Yordan there. In a full season it’s about 30 more AB’s for 2 hole over 4 hole.
Would be cool to see an episode of yall's favorite base card image. No image variations or SP's allowed. Refractors of any type are allowed. I prefer x-fractors.
Chris here - I’m also a fan of xfractors. They just look great. Especially the 2020 stadium club chrome xfractors. I like this idea in general. Thanks!
You all have to do a Brady bunch intro one time with all of in your squares bouncing around.. The spitballin bunch. Great video topic again. Really enjoy the footage.
@@SpitballinCards you all are a perfect group. Very cool to see how every one of you see a little bit of a different side when another person gives an opinion. Don't change anything you all are doing. You're on to something.
Yes! Wish him the best of luck. Chris here, and he’s exactly the kind of professional hitter I’d want around younger players like Guerrero and Bichette.
Enjoyed this one guys. When your business interests bleed into the fantasy it's much less enjoyable. This one felt pure. I've bought more 2023 Bowman Chrome than anything so my guys have a while yet. I do own Frelick and Cowser some good cards. We'll see. Many of the other guys you mentioned are already a bit expensive. Thx.
Surprised nobody brought up how many times Trea Turner got caught stealing (unless I missed it). Elite baserunner. Like you mentioned, too bad Schwarber is in front of him, really limits he’s base running opportunities.
It’s a rare instance where the lineup directly hinders a player’s strength. I get that it works for the Phillies, but it might be something they tinker with.
I think Patrick Bailey is the best catcher overall as far as framing and defense. If he could get his bat going be great lol. Alvarez definitely is right there too. I'm a huge fan of Tovar right now as well. Josh Jung is looking ready to go and I'm really hopeful for him to play a full year and be a two time all star.
You guys missed MacKenzie Gore, Nationals. I’m only half-joking. How about Michael Harris? I think he needs to have a big year to stay hobby-relevant. Great discussion. Always enjoy the topics.
Chris here - I love Michael Harris, I just felt he’s been talked about enough on the show. But maybe not!! He ls got a nice WAR through his first two seasons but we’d all love to see a big step forward offensively. He could be also a guy whose skills are just constantly overlooked because of his teammates. I’m ready for a 30/30 from him!
Gelof gonna be way better than u think. And the A’s will finish ahead of the Angels this year. Tons of really good young players actually on the roster
For the Brewers, I think the under the radar is Garrett Mitchell. He needs to stay healthy and start off reasonably strong to keep his position. He has looked decent this spring training, but he gets off to a slow start or gets hurt again, his stuff will tank and he'll be buried in the depth chart. Also, I agree with Scott: the Brewers need pitching and should sign Greinke (with whom his has pitched before).
Fair point on the K-rate, but I usually don't start looking at that until I see 300-400 PAs, and he's only around 140 so far. He has been working on launch angle this spring, which I hope will translate into the season.
@@SpitballinCards thanks man. out of the base parallel set (minus the 1/1's, and clear), i am only missing father's day, independence day, camo for luis matos! if anyone sees this and has one i will pay up for one!
Like Scott stated I’m in 💯 agreement about Zack Gelof he’s the only rookie that’s caught my interest fully as far as prospects Xavier Isaac and Spencer Jones are my choices
Philmington with the only take on the O’s that wasn’t lazy. T-Pott said “The whole team”…C’mon, bro. And Craig Kimbrel? Not a collector in the state of Maryland looking at Kimbrel cards. That said, still love you guys.
I'll give you a clue. He's a Rockies player and his name isn't Tovar. Picked up his 23 Gold Foil for just $4. I'm about under the radar guys and he fits imo.
Scott how does Miller have a great starting rotation around him with Ohtani and Kershaw out all year?! I wish Yamamoto the best, but he’s unproven in the MLB as you already know.
Chris here - plenty of arms around Miller. Glasnow and Yamamoto at the top. Proven? Durable? Not exactly, but Miller will start the year as the number 3. Follwed by Paxton and Yarborough/Sheehan/stone. Lots of options to hold down the 4-5 spots until Buehler, May, and Kershaw are ready.
@@SpitballinCards understood Chris, the way Scott stated it was like the Dodgers had starting rotation with Ohtani and Kershaw who are both out for a majority of the season. I hope to see them both back sooner than later of course.
Love the idea! Each team holds hidden treasures, and you've found some real gems. Excited to hunt them down for my collection! 🌟

I am excited to see what Busch can do with the Cubs and I took Cole Ragans with the 132nd pick in our draft as my 3rd SP.

Casas was platooned a lot during the first half of the year, once the Sox were out of contention they let him play everyday
Chris here - I’m excited to see what he can do with 600+ at bats this by ear!
Couldn’t agree more with you on Jett Willliams. There also saying he could be top 10 prospect by the summer etc.

I made some money flipping Mitchell last year. I’m worried by the strikeouts and ground ball problem.
