    They nerfed Nividium, my miner cannot find much of it anymore even with the whole sectors covered in probes

    Another get rich quick scheme is head to Split space, camp on a defense station near a Xenon system, and pickup the spacefly larva that get dropped. Make caviar. Sell at a Split trader for 1 million credits for each caviar.

    I like the buy advanced satellites from an equipment dock then sell them at warfs. It starts off only making you a small amount but the more you buy the faster you will profit. Eventually you can buy a trade ship or mining ship and make some serious $$$$$. Combine that with nvidium mining and your on a fast path to tens of millions real early

    • @Woodlerx
      @Woodlerx 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yeah those pesky adv satellites are cool! My best routes are buy in teladi Equp docks and sell in paranid wharfs. With 100 satellites per run you could easily make 6M creditsss 😉👍

    Old video but it's worth mentioning that early game miners can't jump sectors so the sector you place it in has to have both a trading station and Nividium to mine.

    I'm assigning miners to mine nividium in the locations provided in the list of sectors when I tell them to auto-mine. I also deployed a bunch of resource probes all over sectors. But it seems like my miners will only be looking around for hours searching for nividium without ever filling their storage. No transaction in their ship log. I must be doing something wrong. Please help me out Captain.

    • @scroungergaming6317
      @scroungergaming6317 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      They do. At some point they stop though. So if you attempt to use this in a game that is already in progress, it is possible that they have already purchased their maximum amount. All stations have a maximum amount they will buy. After that, nothing, ever again.

    • @stephymink
      @stephymink 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@scroungergaming6317 Those are both wrong. Paranid never buy Nividium. Ever. And the stations that do, refresh their demand for it every 30 minutes. (The last part was added in a patch some time ago, one of the 3.0 to current patches, I forget which)

      @@stephymink Yes, they do buy nividium. Both of the Parnid trade stations were buying nividium from me. *_YOU_* are wrong, I know that for absolute certain.

    I tried this. My mining ships just idle about in the Trade Station sector. I even tried it with several mining ships in several different Trade Station sectors. Same result every time. The ships just idle about. They have the mining icon, but they just kind of wander about. I even cleared their to-do list, so automining was the only thing they had going on. And still they just idled around. In fact, the behavior they displayed is the same behavior a mining ship displays if you attach them to a station that has the buying turned off. Mining icon but no actual mining.

    • @CaptainCollins
      @CaptainCollins  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You could maybe fix this by placing some resource probes around nividium asteroids. That way they should know where to go mining.

    • @scroungergaming6317
      @scroungergaming6317 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@CaptainCollins Actually, I just figured out what the problem was. I tried to do this in the mid to late game. All of the stations had already purchased their maximum amount of nividium. So the mining ships would just be confused as to what to do. Yes, the X4 universe will only buy just so much nividium, and then that is it, you will never be able to sell nividium again. I just tried this in a fresh universe. I had 12 ships mining nividium, 3 ships in 4 locations. Their current locations/stations stopped buying. I then divided them up into two groups sending them to the remaining 2 stations. I finished selling their cargo and now no station anywhere will buy any more nividium. Now there is only one purpose for nividium in my game, the story mission research projects. I have now switched my mining ships to other resources, resources that will always be in demand, sometimes more demand, sometimes less demand, but always wanted somewhere.
      This was pretty handy though for the early game.
      Note: I am not using any economy mods.
      And thanks for responding. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
      (Edit)
      As a special note here: Using the profits from the nividium sales I was able to purchase 14 discoverer vanguards to explore all of the sectors in the game except for xenon sectors. In addition to that, I also got 14 drill(mineral) vanguards and 6 sunder(gas) vanguards and still had 2 million credits left over. So the nividium mining did, indeed, give me a jump start.
