N64 game I still play all the time: Ogre Battle 64 N64 games w/ Co op Played Hexen with 2 friends last year. Gauntlet Legends is pretty cool. Counter-operative mode on Perfect Dark is also a cool game mode. We still play a bunch of N64. Last time my nephew was here he played Super Mario 64.
Good video, but i definitely have two titles to add, both of which are FPS. Duke Nukem 64 and Hexen 64. The latter especially takes a dive with resolution, but it's still a great time. DN64 is fantastic. Hope you get a chance to try them and see for yourselves! I have a bunch if favourites i still play, in fact all 30+ i own are games i really like, but i have to give props to Acclaim's efforts in the Turok series and Shadow Man, Jet Force Gemini, Beetle Adventure Racing, Diddt Kong Racing, Duke Nukem Zero Hour and Doom 64.
Agree with their greatness, but they're not "arcade" wrestling games, they're simulations. Smackdown on PSX/PS2 and Royal Rumble are "arcade" wrestling games.
@@brandogg Fair point! I tend to call them “Arcade” style similar to the pickup & play Midway sports games of the 2000s, rather than the realism-focused sims from EA and 2K. But I hadn’t considered that, good call
Wave Race 64 is my hands down favorite N64 game I still play to this day! Really into trying to improve my personal best lap times. So glad you gave an honorable mention for Wayne Gretzky Hockey. I played the hell out of that game back in the day. Midway was “on fire” back then!
Great list guys! My favorite n64 game that I still play today would be WCW\NWO Revenge. Its so much fun and I have so much nostalgia for it, it was the first n64 game I owned and played when I got my n64 on Christmas of 98. I still love it to this day
My buddy and I spent countless hours on Perfect Dark growing up. Just recently picked up Rare Replay and reliving old times playing Perfect Dark again. Great video as always.
Thanks a ton! Perfect Dark is a gem. Very interested to see what the new one will be like. I'm guessing it will have no local multiplayer but hoping it does.
Couch co-op, and even couch head 2 head, is something I really miss. Online gaming just is not the same, at all. Especially if you have a group of friends, some beer, and hand those controllers around. So many memories of laughing so hard I was sore the next morning.
Great list boys! Did not know about the game shark nugget. Perfect Dark co-op is so fun and that mode is under-rated for sure. I played Legends in the arcades back in the day with the passwords and collected the Runes to take down the game over the summer. As for the home release, I feel the same way about the expanded version Gauntlet Dark Legacy on Xbox. Favorite N64 Game for me is Starfox 64 - one of the few games I beat every year.
It's called NBA Hangtime because Midway wanted to cut ties with Acclaim for home console releases after NBA Jam T.E. so Acclaim got permission to exclusively use the "Jam" name from the NBA without telling Midway...a very underhanded business move...and Acclaim put out the crappiest NBA Jam games while Midway continued to put develop stellar arcade basketball games
The game that got over in my neighborhood when I was a kid was WinBack on the N64, specifically the multi-player, we still loved Goldeneye, but WinBack's multi-player stole our hearts, that's why I really miss video stores, I never would've even heard of some of my all-time favorite games if weren't for them
I'm going to add another hacked game that can be played on original n64 hardware. Super mario 64 splitscreen where one player plays as Mario and the other plays as Luigi. Absolutely worth playing and a ton of fun with a buddy.
Nice list! Had no idea about that Game Shark cheat for no mercy. Gotta try that! I played Gauntlet so much with my friends in the 90s. Super nostalgic for that one. Goemon’s Great Adventure is my all time favorite co-op N64 game!
Favorite N64 game that I still play today !!! WCW/nWo Revenge and No Mercy ! And I did not know about the game shark code for co-op got to try that out with my buddy next game night cheers 🍻
Doing the work no one else is doing. *High-Five*. I don't really play co-op anymore but back in the day, me and my late friend (RIP) would play Hang Time non-stop on N64. I was the big guy getting rebounds and he was the alien draining 3s. Although not co-op, we also played a ton of Mario Kart 64, Mario Golf and Rush 2 stunt mode. Good times!
There are still 3 games me and the buddies still play every time we get together. And they are all sports games. Wayne Gretzky hockey 98'/ NBA Hangtime / NBA showtime NBA on NBC. They all hold up so well. Gretzky is #1 with a bullet though. Honorable mention to Madden 99 though too. Love the channel Boys. Keep it up
My favorite N64 game that I played a lot as a kid and still do today is Rush 2. Not so much the race tracks but I play the stunt level in practice mode. 900 seconds of bliss.

Still play WWF No Mercy whether sinlge or multiplayer. The thing no ever talks about with Perfect Dark is in the PVP mode, you can assign up to 8 bots with different playing styles and different tasks like who to target or protect. I used to love getting a newbie to play then assigning all 8 bots to attack that one person as a sort of a baptism by fire. Sorry guys, I know it is Co-Op. Just had to rant. I agree that although there were so many Multiplayer games for the N64, most that I think about are indeed Vs/Competitive, so this was a nice little video for some Co-op games to look into to have as a fun Coop gaming day or something. Man the Gameshark was such a great thing for the consoles of the time. I have No Mercy (although no GameShark), Fighting Force, Wayne Gretzky Hockey and although not on the N64 (I have a PS1 version) Gauntlet Legends. So many fun looking/fun playing games. Fantastic list boys, can't wait to see what you have in store for us next. #Roadto50k
Think for my favorite(s) game for the N64 would have to be Cruisin USA, 1080 Snowboarding, Pokemon Snap, Pokemon Stadium and want to get my hands on Wave Race, WCW/nWo World Tour and Crusin World
How can 007 GoldenEye not make the list? 😂😂😂 That's the best co op game ever made for N64 but my favorite game for N64 is Wave racer. Nobody makes games like that anymore that involve water sports and the last one I remember is kandagawa jet girls for the PS4 which is an awesome enjoyable game but nothing like wave race, that hits different
Not only is it scandalous to include a game that requires a GameShark to play cooperatively, you also left out Jet Force Gemini from even getting an honourable mention when it's a better co-op game than most of the games on this list.
Great game but I never cared for the co-op. 2p taking control of Floyd just felt tacked on to me. It does help quite a bit in the tough levels though. Cheers!
I’m going to say Wave Race 64, I’ve never stopped playing it
Great water physics in that game.
Loved that gamed when I was younger, and on my list of a couple games I really want to get back for the console.
I don’t own a N64 anymore and only play whatever I have on Wii U or switch. I’m mainly here for moral support, you guys rock 😁

Wrestlmania 2000
Nfl blitz 2000
❤❤❤❤❤
Duke Nukem 64 has co-op and it's awesome!
Interesting. We'll have to check it out.
solid solid list. A little mad that Wrestlemania 2000 didnt get a shout out BUT all is forgiven....
Love WM 2000 but can't do co-op the same as Revenge and No Mercy
@@GamingOffTheGrid I guess you have a point. I’ll let it slide then 😂
No mercy is one of my favorites on 64
The first Smash Bros is still a banger.
For sure it is!
#Roadto50k
Think for my favorite(s) game for the N64 would have to be Cruisin USA, 1080 Snowboarding, Pokemon Snap, Pokemon Stadium and want to get my hands on Wave Race, WCW/nWo World Tour and Crusin World
That's an obvious answer. 😎
"SUPER MARIO 64"! 💛💙💚❤️
Turok: Dinosaur Hunter on the N64 was awesome
Maybe Xenocrisis as an honorable mention too, since it's a newer release?
Honestly I completely forgot it was released on N64. Fun game for sure
Goldeneye didn’t have Co-op. It has split screen VS but not co-op. We said that in the video. It’s a great game though
@@GamingOffTheGrid still, it's couch co op in a way but yeah it was great. The real call of duty
@@daviddonnell2153multiplayer versus is not co-op
05:45 Who is that in the vid?
LOL!!!! That's Robert from the future dude!
As soon as I saw the he title, I knew Gauntlet Legends would be on the list.
Damn straight!
Cheers!
Great list fellas
Thanks!
