I have to give a heartfelt thanks to Peter Jackson and the rest of the gang for putting together such a magical series of films. I count the characters in these films as life long friends. The series inspired me to become an actor and I've loved every minute of the journey.
I watched The Battle of the Five Armies today with my friends and it almost brought tears to my eyes. This video was really close to bringing tears to my eyes as well. What would have been tears of sorrow because it's over, but also tears of happiness because I had the luck to grow up with 2 such amazing trilogies of movies. Beside a single other franchise (Star Wars), The Lord of the Rings is basically what defined and summarized most of my childhood. I can't imagine what growing up would have been like without any of the insane amounts of action figures and toys I collected, video games I played through or ideas for writing fiction the LOTR-universe gave me over the years. I will also always remember the thousands of hours me and my friends spent re-enacting the battles of the LOTR-trilogy, with ourselves as the heroes (and villains of course) using sticks as weapons, the forests behind our school as the setting and our minds to come up with characters and stories of our own. With all of these emotional ramblings out of the way, I want to sincerely thank all the people who made this possible, but first and foremost John Ronald Reuel Tolkien and Peter Jackson. Although I have never had the chance to meet and personally express my gratitude to the many actors, artists and composers behind this magic, I am happy for having been able to take part through the screen. I salute you both and thank you - from the bottom of my Fantasy-loving heart - for the books and movies that I have loved since the age of six and still love as much today!
This movie series has been a big part of my life. The beauty that is in them. That they made Tolkiens words into reality. Seeing all the work and everything that goes into the movies makes you appreciate the behind tthe scenes work.
17 years...it seems like just yesterday I was a little kid and saw The Fellowship Of The Ring trailer for the first time in theaters with my dad and was blown away by what I saw. Now we've come all this way and here we are at the end of our time. What a journey.
Like all good things, the journey must eventually end. The thing I appreciate most in both trilogies is how memorable they are, both the events and the characters. The journey has ended but the stories live on. Thank you Peter Jackson, you took an extraordinary set of novels and created an incredible set of movies. Much gratitude for all involved in production
If I could turn back the clock and be involved in these incredible six movies, I would. Not for fame and glory, but to just say I was part of it - no matter how small that role may have been...."More tea Sir Peter?"
Thank you Peter Jackson and the whole Cast and crew of Tolkien Saga, for creating epicness for the generations to come. This is truly a mark of perseverance and excellence in Visual effects and story making.
I'm so sad right now ... Goodbye Middle Earth, it was the best journey ever ! Thank you Peter Jackson and all the people who made Middle Earth come to life.
this brings tears to my eyes of how beautiful it is. i grew up with this world and these amazing characters. LOTR is the best trilogy ever made and i loved all the hobbit movies, i am very much looking forward to the last chapter of this amazing movie saga. it saddens me that this is the end but some day i hope we'll return to this world JRR Tolkien has created. i will miss all this!!
Silmarion confirm peoples! after TLOTR he said he won't do it anymore and 10 year late we got the Hobbit, and now the Hobbit finished he said that againt in the clip! so.......
Incredible! You can tell how much of Peter Jackson's life he gave to it, you can tell just from pre production on the Hobbit to now his hair has grayed as much as a president's during office, and he is a master filmmaker!
What a emotional clip that shows how much efforts the whole crew has put in these legendary movies. It will take a long time before any of the Tolkien's masterpieces will be filmed again :(
1:21 :P Must....hold...my tears... damn it. I am 23 years old and I can not hold my tears. I am crying. Damn it. :") I hope after 10 years Mr. Jackson changes hid mind and start directing and producing "the silmarillion" along with WB. :") Thank you for these 17 years of wonderful journey Warner Bros., Mr. Peter Jackson and all Lord of The Ring and The Hobbit cast actors and staff. No matter what anyone says about the hobbit movies, that they are bad or not faithful or boring, I will always love them, they have given so many people entertainment and with the passing years many people will find things in their own life that will relate to events in the films. I am glad that they have come full circle with these movies, I don't mind the massive amounts of CGI, I just think its a different way to visually tell a story, I can honestly say I and many others will be enjoying these movies for a long time to come. Cheers :)
Just watched The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies and I feel so sad, can't believe the story has come to an end :'( Ohh but what a journey it has been. I'm glad I was a part of it, even just as a fan. "End? No, the journey doesn't end here." ^^

Peter! You ate a few too many sweetrolls during the filming of this trilogy, I think you should shed those extra pounds off again by going on an adventure. An adventure called: The Silmarillion :)
