  • Another episode in the series involving the complete restoration and rebuild of my e39 M5. I start rebuilding the rear wheel carrier. That involves removing the entire wheel carrier, removing the lower, outside, rear ball joint and removing and replacing the wheel bearing. This episode -- part 1 -- I remove the rear wheel carrier and the ball joint and install a new ball joint and new integral link.

    Your Bimmer should drive like a dream when you get done Art! I’m still pushing for a 1300 mile (each way) shake-down trip when it’s ready. Coincidentally, Seattle is just about that distance from Denver!😁

      My only decision is, do I go east or west for the thousand mile break-in?

      @@artwerksgarage I vote for heading east. If you head east for 1000 miles, you never who or what you may run into.
