      Hehe, sorry the_redrg, I probably should have done that. Manufacturers tend to make the bags on the tight side, so I wouldn't stress too much about getting it back in the bag and store it separately. Alternatively you can roll it up a few times to squeeze all the air out. ~ Ben

    Hi, I was planning to buy an air mattress for my home, so that I can fold it anytime. as I don’t have enough space to buy a wooden bed. If guests come to my place for couple of days, then what will be the pumping schedule? Do I need to pump everyday? Thank you.

    • @SnowysOutdoors

      The mattress takes approximately 3 minutes to inflate. Once its been inflated, you shouldn't need to add more air in.

    Can never understand the concern of rolling off. Does anyone roll off the edge of their bed at home? 🤔🤔

    • @SnowysOutdoors
      @SnowysOutdoors  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think the concern is around the support provided on the edges, krga94c. For an airbed, this one is pretty good in that respect. ~ Ben

    These beds deflate during the night

    • @SnowysOutdoors
      @SnowysOutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's common for them to lose pressure as the air cools, that's just the laws of physics, but if they deflate completely overnight then you probably have a puncture. ~ Ben

    At camping site there won’t be electrical power source. Don’t you have to buy a big battery power to power this pump? This is an unexpected extra cost for most newbies. Nobody mentions it. It’s as if there will be an electrical outlet available in the middle of jungle.

      This airbed is best for use at a powered campsite, trhl, or as a guest bed at home. There are better mats for people sleeping in the middle of the jungle. ~ Ben

    Is there any advantage to these tall air beds, other than being easier to sit down on and stand up from? I'm still in my thirties so have no problem at all with a floor bed. Do taller air beds have any comfort difference compared to floor air beds?

    • @SnowysOutdoors
      @SnowysOutdoors  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      As far as I'm aware theres no specific advantage @Lorne Lorne, the appeal is mostly as a spare bed to have at home for guests, or to have an accessible height for people with mobility issues.
      Ive tried both single height and double height styles, and they're much of a muchness for me.

      What I experienced. with a raised airbed is that the air inside the bed is the same as the ambient temp ( esp during cold winter nights). I have a full size aerobed for over 20 years ( it's not raised ) and never felt the cold air that's inside the bed .
      I think the not-raised aerobed doesn't have as much air inside as the raised ones & somehow the body temperaure kept it warm enough. I don't know for sure. A blanket under the sheets may/may not ) help & I heard one of those bed toppers is better. I don't have a problem with the temp when it's not winter.

    I still don't understand why these beds have an internal 240v pump. It's a camping bed mostly, where in the bush or beach do you get 240v without a generator?? Be smarter to have 12v internal and you can use a 240v external if at home.

    • @SnowysOutdoors

    It's been two days that I've been trying to deflate my air mattress! I have the same mattress shown in video. After using built-in pump and open valve, I folded mattress in thirds and rolled it but couldn't continue as air is trapped towards the end near the pump making it impossible to finish folding to fit in bag. How do I release all the trapped air? Help! Thanks!

    • @SnowysOutdoors
      @SnowysOutdoors  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Maria, sorry you're having trouble with your mat.
      There is only two spots where air can escape which is either via the pump or the valve. If air is still trapped inside then you may need to leave the pump on deflate until is is all sucked out. You can also leave the valve open when rolling if you think there is air trapped inside still, and provided you roll the mat tightly towards the valve the air should naturally be expelled.
      I'm not sure what else to recommend sorry.

    You have to mean 110 volts, 220 is what a clothes dryer runs on and they have a much larger plug in cord

    • @SnowysOutdoors
      @SnowysOutdoors  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Power outlets in Australia are 240V, Aaron, this will have a transformer inside to drop the voltage down to what the pump requires, but we don't have any 110V outlets here. ~ Ben
