The title should be "the rise of theo von". He struggled young, worked and still works hard and is real all alone 😮 this man deserves all our love & respect
I feel bad that he's telling these heartbreaking stories and the other people are laughing like jackals and cracking jokes on him....what a bunch of pos smh
When talking about Netanyahu his brief comment "that guy gives me the fucking creeps every time I see him speak" was so succinct. A genocidal maniac that U.S. tax payers are forced to subsidize.
dude no. he bounced from the friends who made him and started hanging with big names as soon as they started calling. like who tf hangs with david spade smfh
Can't tell who's making up stories at this point, like Joey Diaz. Just remember that creative types are effed up people who had effed up lives and effed up parents, though it doesn't mean they're not genuinely good people.
Don’t be constrained in your heart or your mind by the doctor’s diagnoses and them calling it terminal. Keep fighting and never lose hope! Doctors have been proven wrong many times by the power of people’s will to live. Good luck to you and I hope you show them all different.
Theo- I am a 53 year old former high school principal now in EdTech etc… YOU are exactly the kind of student/person who inspired me in my career- you’ve always just found a way to make things work. And you remain hopeful and HONEST, and that is so much more refreshing than you might ever possibly imagine. Thank you for sharing a bit of your life and experiences with us! Thank you also for your unending curiosity and willingness to consider all angles and hear many perspectives. We need more of all of this in our lives and communities. ❤❤❤
Theo is the most genuine and honest comedians I've ever heard. Ironically sharing his stories with Bert Kreischer who has the reputation of being a habitual liar.
Theo is one of the most genuine, honest people I have ever heard or watched. He tells his stories no matter how embarrassing or how hurtful it is to him and some of his stories you can tell do hurt to tell but he lays it all out for everyone to hear. He’s also funny af I love his podcasts with Joe Rogan and Bobby he has those guy in stitches with some of the stuff that comes out of his mouth. I hope Theo becomes a multi millionaire has a great movie career and becomes one of the biggest comedian’s on the planet because if anyone deserves it it’s Theo. Love that guy.
I hope all that and more for him. I just hope he doesn't get disconnected from reality like 98% of celebrities do. I feel he has a good chance of staying humble I just hope it sticks with him.
He’s such a genuine guy. Heartfelt and honest. You can tell he’s been through the struggles and still hurting deep down inside but trying to let that inner light shine through and raise up. It’s beautiful.
^^ All of the people above need to remember that life is not handed to you on a silver platter. You have to work hard for what you want out of life, and sometimes we are dealt crappy hands. But the reality is that everyone is dealt something difficult to deal with at some point in life. The difference is what we do with our circumstances when that happens. Do we remain victims to our circumstances or do we pick up the pieces and build something new? Most people choose to do nothing and remain a victim, then they complain about their mediocre lives. What you put out is what you receive back. Work hard for the life you want for yourself. Most people give up and stop trying. Failure is simply quitting. People don't fail when they continue to try, they fail when they stop trying. Theo didn't stop trying, therefore he's created a new life for himself. Anyone can do it, including all of you. Mindset and daily patterns are key. That's really all there is to it.

He has got a heart that can't help but care . Its something that comes from trauma and neglect an all to often heard story of so many children . In a time where parents weren't ready to be parents who were survivors of a shut it or ill give you something to cry about you don't know what hard times are even. Its sad but he makes me remember never give up and work hard with a goal and things can fall onto place eventually. I'd like to meet him he is somewhat like myself
When I saw the Sean Strickland interview with him I really began to like this guy. He showed such compassion and empathy for Sean and I could tell he’d been though it in his life as well. This is what the world needs: compassion toward our fellow man
I've only recently seen him with his interview of Dana White. Then spent a Sunday watching some of his podcasts, I'm a fan for life. Difficulties and struggles you go thru as a child can make you a more humble, empathetic, smart in ways that get you thru life, kinder, harder worker, more appreciative. Hardship can be a blessing. Love ya Theo. You seem to be a decent man.
I know the sentiment is supposed to be good, but man comments like these rub me the wrong way. That seems like something that each individual should decide if it's a blessing or not. I've had some struggles in my life as well, addiction being one of the main ones that's haunted me in my adulthood, and while I do consider myself wiser than those who have not gone through that struggle, I don't think I'd appreciate someone who hadn't lived my life tell me that the addiction I had was a blessing. I'd rather not have to deal with it at all than have the positives from it that I got, and others who I know who have had troubled lives would trade those troubles away for what they positively received in a heartbeat. I know Theo will never read these so it's not a big deal, and while it is supposed to be positive, I think it comes off condescending.
@Alexander_Grant I never said addiction is a blessing. You turned the comment into a condescending statement. Hardships, of all sorts, can make us stronger, kinder, etc. Sorry for the confusion.
I can totally relate to Theo's childhood. I was born in 1960 and grew up in a similar way. Living in a children's home in Round Rock Texas. The school bus had a sign on it "Texad Baptist Children's Home". I remember trying to take life several times. I ran away, got caught, and my house pop spanked my butt with a long wood 1x4 with holes in it and said he wouldn't stop until I cried . My teacher noticed I was in pain and couldn't sit in class. My social worker took pictures of my bloody blistered butt and the house parents were fired. Next time I ran away, I made sure I didn't get caught! Back then, you didn't share your story with anyone because people would look at you funny and not want to socialize with you. I learned that people didn't know anything about you unless you told them, so I quit sharing and kept everything inside. THANK YOU Theo for sharing. It really helps so many people ❤
Have you heard him on calls where others are struggling? The empathy and compassion in this guy is beautiful. Most of us who suffered as kids (and so many of us do) but to the extent you end up on a psyche ward with depression just full of despair- other patients are often so kind.
I went to Jr High with him i remember him being really quite,I remember seeing him driving his dad's huge 4 door after school a couple times he had to be 12 😂. Not long after he was on Road Rules a good friend came over and Road Rules was on he asked me "do you recognize that dude" i didn't at the time until we got out a old year book. I've followed his career ever since it's pretty cool to see how far he's gotten.
?? REALLY? If you think that's not rough you have mental problems. Did other kids have it worse? Sure, some did. Doesn't mean Theo had it easy you dummy!
Theo is someone who inspires those of us also in recovery so please as stated before change the title of the video. This man is an inspiration and a blessing to many
They are somewhat similar in the sense they had to grow up fast. Joey lost his mom at 16. He found her in their home as he was coming off acid. She passed away from a heart attack I believe. He went on to live with multiple friends from his high school. Had no other family to depend on.
Man I've been a Theo fan since 2016 and I had no idea his sister needed a liver transplant as a child!? Dudes life was tragic and he still managed to find success.
I'm seeing him in Belfast next week, can not wait to witness this man's genius! Brilliant comedian and such a genuine kind hearted human being open to talking his hardships. King!
i got tingles during the last minute and a half, it's a beautiful concept to accept self and see what we can provide. Theo has reached millions with a strange combination of satire, wit, and storytelling that is truly original to himself. He is inspiring
Solid video, wasn't disturbed one bit. There's so many people praying for Theo. God will guide his path to help others walk similar roads. God thank you for Theodor Capitani von Kurnatowski III.
This guy can speak for hours. These hours can engage you immediately. Reason why I like listening to him speaking on his channel. Interesting guy for sure
DISTURBING? I find his story uplifting and it gave me hope. He came from nothing in nowhere and became a powerhouse. The sense of humor is outrageous. His willingness to share his life story with us is brave and his success as well deserved. BRAVO, Mr. Von…. BRAVO!
Theo von is inspiring and is a genuine person. He is so down to earth and is okay with talking about his troubled past. And on top of all of his struggles he makes people laugh doing what he loves. I only wish him more success.
The editing has such dark undertones. I don’t think it’s really that disturbing, he made something nice out of a shitty situation. You should have added heartwarming music instead of the horror film shit.
Self-reliance builds character, courage and sheer determination. I grew up with similar challenges and I wouldn't take back a majority of the rough times....Sure, a few I wished were different but all in all, it made me a highly productive and task-oriented person who has lived a good life. I'm grateful for it all...
the comedic presence of this guy is that if you let any of those clips run for a couple secs more, this video would just become another "best of theo von" highlight videos
I freaking love Theo Von. I can relate to him. He is just a pure soul. Meeting him at Powerslap and getting to talk to him was awesome. He never acted like he had to leave and get away from you and actually enjoyed conversations with his subscribers/fan base.
I’m sure Theo will never read this message but I can honestly say since first watching him on MTV I’ve been a fan. I’ve never met him before but I guarantee he’s awesome to hangout around any day of the week
Buddy at work has been putting on theos podcast and i could tell how genuine his stories are. This makes me see him in an even greater light. Keep bringing it all theo your going to be a legend.
Theo is a stud, I had the same device as a kid. I can't believe it's taken me this long to discover his comedy. He's an inspiring human being and he's only 2 yrs my junior. I am definitely glad I've finally discovered him and really before hearing his comedy I've heard his life story. Which has completely made him way more intriguing. God bless him and everything he does 🙏🏻
Theo, I just discovered you semi recently & you have already won my respect. That's not an easy thing to do. Even still, the pain behind your eyes, is evident and heartbreaking. You have been through so much. The things you have went through led you to a path that is not only inspiring, but healing for others. Your stories resonate with so many ppl. You're a gift from God. Always remember that.
Man this really gives some insight into Theo that I think we can all relate to in one way or another using comedy as a coping method. I'm glad Theo was able to use that to thrive in his life
This was a 360 degree turnaround for me! I respect this man for everything he went through and am proud of him for not letting him be defeated! Much success bro!
My brother is 64 and my niece is 8 his wife is 38! Crazy right? He has 2 older kids in their forties now! He also lost 2 sons along the way! Idk why I’m sharing this but I am I guess
i just went to his show in columbia sc and i gotta say i love him i’ve been watching him for some time now about 2-3 years and i finally got the chance to go to one of his shows i recommend it to anyone he’s very genuine and funny. everyone needs some theo in their life.
I need a liver transplant and cant get back up on the list because i cant afford even the few grand in aftercare. Just staying alive is so expensive and in only 37. Its been a 7 hear fight. I can NOT imagine a parent trying to save their baby. It had to be so hard. Bless his family. I hope one day i can get well enough to have a child before im too old.
The fact you still have the love in your heart to wish others well though you have not been dealt an easy hand. I will pray for your healing. Continue with a strong faith and god will keep his promises. I wish you well! Keep your light ❤
Theo is the man! He’s said, that he’s seeking love & marriage & one day, some lady is going to be very lucky to land him. He’s a very cool guy--a genuinely caring soul, authentically Theo.
I have a similar origin story to Theo, being poor in elementary school when you care about what people think of you is horrible. Scarred me, I’ll never let my kids go through that. I’ve been a big fan since his first TFATK appearances, he’s so genuine and inherently funny.
@@byTaxxZ Wow, that’s what you took away from that? 🤣 Yes, that’s exactly what I do. No I busted my ass and am able to give them a beautiful life as a result.
To come from where he started in life to where he is now deserves total respect, he's a genuine and down to earth person that we all can relate to in many different ways, his ability to make us laugh at life and it's many struggles is priceless.
I think I see how Theo got his unique ability to communicate. With a mother who has such a pedigree law degree, as a child, he learned early about argument, debate, logic, and how to negotiate all of it to get your way. He really is amazing. True talent.
Theo being vulnerable is so beautiful to see. He really helped me a lot by sharing how he processes his childhood cuz I had an older dad and my mom was always gone working too. So I completely identify with using humor to get seen and feeling lost in the shuffle
I had absolutely NO idea of Theo's past. I didn't have MTV and didn't like to watch any reality tv stuff. I only know him as the excellent comedian that he is. What a hard life he's led. I'm SO happy he pushed through. Thanks for sharing Theo's story. 😊
I went and saw Theo live at the ICC theatre in Sydney earlier this year and he develops such a connection to the crowd , after a killer set he got a little emotional and shed a tear or 2 about that connection he had , Was a very touching moment from a genuinely awesome guy . Fan for life and we go to every show i can when he visits Australia again
That's an incredibly shallow world view. Most people would rather have grown up in a loving family and had a chance at normalcy that they craved their entire life. It's alos not a nice trade off, because for the rest of their life even with al ot of work put into healing, you are shaped by those experiences and they effect you forever.@@derrick9635
I always remembered Theo from MTV Road Rules and then years later I saw him on that Yahoo gig he got in like 2009 and couldn’t take him serious bc of MTV but today him and Shane are my favorite comedians,so happy for him.
Theo has such a marvelous way to express emotion in the most personal level. He's been low and understands how it feels to have nothing. He still remembers how it felt so he is compassionate for others. Rare to find someone like him, let alone on the big screen.
Theo seems like a good dude. I don’t know if he ever can understand how much positive energy he’s brought to his fans. I hope his success has brought him some peace and happiness.
Theo Von, “This Past Weekend”, with Tim Dillon yesterday was, is the best and funniest podcast episode I’ve ever seen, and I’ve watched most. Crying laughing for two hours straight. My abs are sore.
I hope Theo Achieve's everything he wants . He's an inspiration a young man who is overcoming a lot of challenges and yet never gives up on himself and still pushing forward. Not only has he put in the work but seems like a person with a huge heart. I wish him his family, friends, and Fans Happiness, prosperity, and Good Health for many many years to come. Keep being who you are Theo.
Theo is awesome... puts his heart out there... can have gasping for air laughing one moment and then deeply moved in another! Wonderful human being... Gang Gang!💪👊
I'm 48 and I remember Theo from MTV. He was my favorite. So witty and funny even back then he was a shining star in my eyes. I didn't realize that he went on to such greatness. No surprise! I've been watching him for the past week on TH-cam. 😍🤩 I would love to catch him doing stand up!
This is an average Louisiana family. Most of the people who are from Louisiana are below the poverty line. I know this because that’s how I grew up. My parents worked very hard and were never home to make sure my sister and I had what we needed
I reached out to Theo at my lowest point in life. Strung out of my mind I sent him an email. To my shock he responded nearly immediately. I appreciate that Theo. I’ll see ya at the top. I’m on my way. Loyalty.
How about let’s give a big thanks for this guy and his channel for narrating Theos life and his upbringing No other channel does this big ups man Theo would appreciate this#Gang Baby Praise Gawd
Yeah between him and and then watching get into her and Billy strings for the first time which I don't know how I took so long but I want to watch him that podcast with Theo and that really just gave me hope and just gave me hope that I can I can get better and I can I can be a better father and a better person in general and a little more productive just so long but he's definitely giving me some hope❤
Crazy how followers of Theo are so impressed with Theo. Old and young alike we just admire Theo for being so mentally strong after his childhood. I love his honestly and his stories crack me up. Best of luck to Theo.
The title should be "the rise of theo von". He struggled young, worked and still works hard and is real all alone 😮 this man deserves all our love & respect

Haha apple juice can do that, Theo.

Theo is someone who inspires those of us also in recovery so please as stated before change the title of the video. This man is an inspiration and a blessing to many
1:38 that cough is 100% Joey Diaz
Joey Diaz sounding like a vacuum cleaner with that wheeze
Lol I was thinking joeys wide is gunna have to put the kibosh on Theo hangin out one day, hee gonna rupture something laughing
Wheeze I love that word
They are somewhat similar in the sense they had to grow up fast. Joey lost his mom at 16. He found her in their home as he was coming off acid. She passed away from a heart attack I believe. He went on to live with multiple friends from his high school. Had no other family to depend on.
I was doing dishes and was wondering what the hell was that sound i hollered when i saw him
Man I've been a Theo fan since 2016 and I had no idea his sister needed a liver transplant as a child!? Dudes life was tragic and he still managed to find success.
The more I learn others stories, the more my gratitude grows. God Bless Theo.
I'm seeing him in Belfast next week, can not wait to witness this man's genius! Brilliant comedian and such a genuine kind hearted human being open to talking his hardships. King!
How was the show?
@Ubermensch_201 brilliant, he was incredible

i got tingles during the last minute and a half, it's a beautiful concept to accept self and see what we can provide.

Theo was my favorite person MTV person growing up. You can tell he's a genuinely kind person. I wish nothing but the best for him.
Theos an inspiration. His comedy style is hilarious, borderline innocent and oblivious.. hes got to be one of my favorite comedians
I love Theo von hope he sees this and reads all the comments and sees how people love him
Seriously, some that music is soooo dark!!
and him using multiple theo podcast clips where he’s just making shit up 😭
Clicked cuz i thought you were gonna throw shade. Thanks for getting his story right.
Self-reliance builds character, courage and sheer determination. I grew up with similar challenges and I wouldn't take back a majority of the rough times....Sure, a few I wished were different but all in all, it made me a highly productive and task-oriented person who has lived a good life. I'm grateful for it all...

Fantastic comment. That really resonates with me and articulates the silver lining of a challenging upbringing.
@@marcobonaventura578 Wow...Thank you!! Ur comment made my day
the comedic presence of this guy is that if you let any of those clips run for a couple secs more, this video would just become another "best of theo von" highlight videos
My wife and I was 2 of those 9 people at the comedy catch in Chattanooga!! I loved theo 😂
I'm glad Theo was able to use that to thrive in his life
Not disturbing, we all come from somewhere. Hes such an inspiration and national treasure🥰
This is propaganda. His origin story is not as displayed. He is a Jewish kid grifting you all.
Theo Von underdog became alpha male of the pack... I love you bro. You speak for so many that'll never get the chance to be heard...

Theo is honestly one of my heroes. My dad was old af when I was born too and I’ve been through similar things to him. I just love this guy.
I just wana say theo is what i listen to before i sleep and put me in a good mood. I hope god helps him and gives him what he diserves

May god be good to you!
It’s going to be awkward when Kreisler starts telling stories about ditch fires and pissing the bed.
This was a 360 degree turnaround for me! I respect this man for everything he went through and am proud of him for not letting him be defeated! Much success bro!
Maybe check out what 360 degrees looks like. It'll help for future descriptions of your orientation.

Theo is so genuine and inspiring ❤ love him
my dad is older and him talking about having an older dad and having to deal with that in a way most people don’t understand.
My brother is 64 and my niece is 8 his wife is 38! Crazy right? He has 2 older kids in their forties now! He also lost 2 sons along the way! Idk why I’m sharing this but I am I guess

I'm 45. In recovery. Married and divorced once. I have one daughter who is 14. Let him know to hit me up lol i love funny people
This is amazing background, i had no idea about most of this. I have just seen his funny clips. He really earned his stripes.
I have a similar origin story to Theo, being poor in elementary school when you care about what people think of you is horrible. Scarred me, I’ll never let my kids go through that. I’ve been a big fan since his first TFATK appearances, he’s so genuine and inherently funny.
Yoooo, so true. I remember that feeling.
So you give your kids everything they ask for bc of what ppl think of you when you are a kid?? or what is your point
@@byTaxxZ Wow, that’s what you took away from that? 🤣 Yes, that’s exactly what I do. No I busted my ass and am able to give them a beautiful life as a result.

Kids can be so vicious if you have anything that can make you a target, I’m glad my daughter didn’t have the same school experience I had.. Gang gang
To come from where he started in life to where he is now deserves total respect, he's a genuine and down to earth person that we all can relate to in many different ways, his ability to make us laugh at life and it's many struggles is priceless.

HOLY FUCK "I piss hard off that AJ. I was buzzin hard" hahahaha. Nearly killed joey with those jokes he couldn't breathe
Theo is the real MVP - this title is a disservice to his positive energy.

Theo is one of my all time fav comics. He is so organically funny and you can tell he is a genuinely sweet guy.

Now he's rich from hes 30s for life ,nice trade off.
That's an incredibly shallow world view. Most people would rather have grown up in a loving family and had a chance at normalcy that they craved their entire life. It's alos not a nice trade off, because for the rest of their life even with al ot of work put into healing, you are shaped by those experiences and they effect you forever.@@derrick9635
have you even seen his specials? they suck
And he wants to believe in God. He’s almost surrendered to Christ
I always remembered Theo from MTV Road Rules and then years later I saw him on that Yahoo gig he got in like 2009 and couldn’t take him serious bc of MTV but today him and Shane are my favorite comedians,so happy for him.
Perseverance & triumph. Openness & honesty.
What of the ‘real’ Theo!
I love theo because he's not a victim of his circumstances. He's proactive. And his achievements are a testiment to that. Bravo theo
That was the first podcast episode I shared with family, it was so good.

Thanks for this documentary I enjoyed it!
I love me some Theo, found his podcast a few weeks ago and its been helping me through hard times!
Theo is genuinely incredible, the most genuine person ever. This is super inspiring
Theo Von is one of the most beloved Comedians of our time. His ability to tap into and share his own truth makes him very relatable. Rock on, Theo.
People can’t tell when he’s doing a bit and when he’s being genuine because he’s always being genuine. The guy is an open book. Nature loves courage.
This is an average Louisiana family. Most of the people who are from Louisiana are below the poverty line. I know this because that’s how I grew up. My parents worked very hard and were never home to make sure my sister and I had what we needed
I’m a big fan of Theo. The more I learn about him the more I root for him.
Man, this made me realize how much I had zero actual clue about Theo's life. We are unbelievably lucky to get to be apart of the success of this man.
I reached out to Theo at my lowest point in life. Strung out of my mind I sent him an email. To my shock he responded nearly immediately. I appreciate that Theo. I’ll see ya at the top. I’m on my way. Loyalty.
