Did this yesterday. Cried the whole day. I went through the a lot during this years and my hips are in a tremendous amount of pain. After 11 years of yoga, i knew this was the answer, but the emotional pain to feel was really too much. This is THE way of doing things i was looking for, thanks for showing me the path.
Oh my love ❤ I am so glad this pointed you to your path! 🙌 There is so much healing through the body, so much to release available. I am honored you chose to practice with me 🤍
Do you knoow, perhaps, any italian teachers that are trauma informed or that does these work around hips? or, do you do teacher trainings?@@manumitevova
After just doing this once I have movement in my hips that I haven’t had in YEARS (maybe ever?) note: I’m only 28! Spent the few minutes after one session yawning and tearing up as things released and were processed. Absolutely amazing, thank you for posting this❤
It’s amazing how powerful movement is, I am feeling strong & relaxed . My knees cracked so much during this, so much relief my joints feel like butter . THANK YOU 🎉
Yes thank you they are feeling much freer already. I've noticed it more freedom of movement in other yoga poses that I do as well. Thanks again Manuela.
thank you for being so aware and accommodating of feelings that can come up during exercises like these. I’ve been doing stretches and yoga for years but it never occurred to me to give space to what it FELT like to be doing them. thank you. I’m very much looking forward to your hips like honey course now :)
Did this today. Had vibrations in hips and pelvic. At the end, I got tears in my eyes (didn’t cry) and I was yawning. Thanks for this beautiful session! ❤
Thank you Manu! It's so good to practice with a women. I have been practicing so much with men who don't know how ot feels to be a women and live in a female body ❤🙏
Wonderful Class! thank you for your patience and kindness during this practice. I really enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to continue to practice with you
Enjoyed the class! Just have a question about warming up.. although it’s quite a gentle class, wouldn’t warming up your hips first make a difference in range of motion to start stretching in. I’m aware of TH-cam’s favor for 20m videos but I’m wondering your opinion on warming up first yes or no😊
If you have time to warm up, 100% do it ❤I would say it makes every single practice better, smoother, and easier. You'll only need 5 min, and you can even vary the warm ups- can be any cardio or mobility. Both work 🥰
Hello love ❤ It's absolutely normal to have one leg more restricted than the other, but the aim is to minimize it. It is likely due to lack of range of motion in the hip joint as well as tightness in the hip flexor muscles. It's never just one thing, but rather, the whole hip and whole body connected. The more you explore mindful movement, the more you will begin unwinding that tension and gaining more range of motion 🤗
Did this today, and loved it...the time actually flew by (I am usually counting the minutes with exercise). I wanted to do this a couple of times to make sure it would work for me (without too many tears) before doing the hips like honey. I just wanted to double check on a couple of things. I seem to be tighter in the back of my hips than in the front (in butterfly poses, I always land with my knees on the ground). Will it still help with stretching the back of the hips too? Also, I had a hand injury that makes putting my palm flat on the floor uncomfortable, and I seem to be too long waisted to do that while keeping my back straight anyway. I had been putting my fists on the ground when doing yoga to make it work, but I noticed you used what I think you called spider hands - would that be ok to use when my hands are supposed to be flat on the floor?
Hello love ❤️ So glad you enjoyed the class! Your practice should always adapt to you, not the other way around, so yes, keep using your fists even if it seems strange. You gotta work with your body 😉 As for the tension in the hips. That's completely normal. Every body is different, and the magic of the hips is that everything is connected. I really don't subscribe to the notion that we should only stretch the part that's stiff. There's a reason why it got stiff in the first place, and to heal that, we need to think big picture. So keep on practicing, keep on moving, you're doing amazing! ✨
It's strange, that when I move my hips, and doing this video I start to sigh all the time, and I have the sensation of throwing up. I can't recognise when it was so locked, which is the origin. It's very curious to me.
This is definitely a natural response ❤ You're moving energies, unlocking channels, and opening up not just your hips, but your whole system. It can be uncomfortable at first, but just noticing and being with the sensations is a first step to a big emotional release 🤗
You can absolutely try it and modify for your body ❤️ The tension needs movement in order to soften 🤗 So just explore and no pressure to fit poses. This is your time to play and feel 😉
if i want to release my hips from negative emotions, how many times per week can i do this session? can i do it daily until feel release? im doing it with the pelvic session also
Whatever feels good ❤ Let the body guide you to when it has enough. Typically, I would recommend starting with about 20 minutes a day, maybe 5 times a week, if this isn't too much for you. You can also do half that 🤍
Likely to do with overcompensating there. It's actually very common to lock up the back when opening your hips, because your body is trying to regain control and keep the bracing going. This is typically very subconscious, so I invite you to notice how your whole body is responding to hip opening, and direct some softness there ❤️🔥
My hips are so tight that my knee will stay 2 feet from my chest 😂. It has been like this since I can remember, very painful to put my weight on opening hip joint, any gental stretches for beginners?
@@manumitevova Oo, in bed! Currently watching this in bed, thinking about what it would take to get me downstairs onto the yoga mat... In bed is a big seller :D

Hello! I want to follow along with this but is it for beginners as well? Because I'm tensing up more than relaxing when I try to sit up straight.

I cannot sit in cross legged position. Is this right class for me ?
Just try it and see how you feel 🥰 You can always use some rolled up blankets or yoga blocks for support if needed.

Why does my upper back hurt and tense so much when doing all of this?
Likely to do with overcompensating there. It's actually very common to lock up the back when opening your hips, because your body is trying to regain control and keep the bracing going.
