This game used to give me nightmares as a kid but I'd play it anyways🤣. Especially the level that I believe was like the hotel in one of the first levels but with the lights off or something. I literally just remembered being terrified and thinking car headlights were ghosts at night.
I noticed a theme. It seems the original three always do the first bust of the adventure. In Ghostbusters 1, the original three catch Slimer as Winston had not joined them yet. In Ghostbusters 2, the original three catch the Scoleri brothers. While Winston was there in the courtroom and building he couldn't do much to aid the bust as there were only three proton packs and two traps. He can't do much as far as the bust goes without a proton pack so he probably helped get others to safety. In the game, Winston is four hours enroute due to the all the paranormal activity and can't assist.

Do you realize that the same guy who plays the mayor in the game is the sam guy who plays the doctor in Ghostbusters II, Bill Murray’s brother i think.
It is his brother, he's also with Bill Murray in Groundhog Day. and 3 of the Murray brothers were in the movie scrooged. The guy that played his younger brother in the movie, and the older guy that played his father in the movie.
it did? how? i watched it and didn’t find anything disproving it’s existence. it didnt even mention ghostbusters 2. if afterlife 2 doesnt have any references to 2 and the game i’d be mighty pissed.
@geggy310 Ivo Shandor was the main villain in this game, and then was wasted in GB: Afterlife. No joke, my brother is in the Calgary Ghostbusters, and they went to the Afterlife set. While they were there, it was confirmed by the crew that this game is no longer canon.
Seems way better with the repetitive original score music off during gameplay! Doesn't drown out the inconsistenct dialogue volume and it still kicks in with better impact during the cutscenes.
Ray: I couldn't help it. It just popped in there. Venkman: What? What just 'Popped in there'?! Spengler: LOOK! Venkman/ME: What did you do, Ray?! ME: It's the Stay Puft marshmallow-man. Nice thinking, Ray
It's interesting to see the differences between the Wii version compared to the rest. The Wii version of the collector for example is COMPLETELY different
I grew up with the Wii/PS2 version. On a conceptual level, they are both the exact same games. Same progression, same story, same voice lines, same areas, etc. Gameplay-wise however, they couldn't be more different. The Wii/PS2 version appears to be much simpler, being more of a collectathon with the whole art-pages and ghost entries for every little thing, whereas this version appears to have very little of that going on. Catching ghosts, again, conceptually are similar, but the Wii/PS2 version is incredibly basic. You still get to slam ghosts everywhere, but it's more of a Simon-Says thing rather than needing to slam it wherever, and setting the trap out underneath the defeated ghost just automatically captures it. No guiding it to the center needed. Stay-Puft's fight is still pretty similar, although for the Wii/PS2 version, there's more things to kill him with rather than just using boson darts. He'll throw building pieces and choppers at you, which can be slowed to drop back down on him. The look of the game is the most obvious change, having a much more cartoony style. I personally don't have a problem with it, but then again I grew up with it instead of the look of the regular version, so there is that. This was done because 1. different company made it, and 2. it needed to be optimized for the Wii and PS2, but going for a realistic style with those systems would prove to be really difficult. The PKE Meter is another striking difference. This version makes it clear you MUST have your PKE on constantly. But the Wii/PS2 version just kinda says "meh". You just use the main detector for the first part of the game, and then after beating The Chef, you're given the goggles, which are kinda annoying to use as you constantly have to have the button held down since the detector is still an object that takes up a slot for some reason. Could've just... made the goggles replace it, but oh well. I don't think the Wii/PS2 version is bad. It's still the same game, just simplified and cartoonified to appeal more to the owners of those systems, kids and people who don't have much experience with games, whereas the 360/PS3 version is obviously meant for more mature audiences.
